A very short cliff-hangar novella. The idea was good, but it just wasn't executed well. Fleshed out, it could have been a better story, there were plot mistakes and I just thought the author needs to hone her writing skills.

This is the first book in the Perfect Mate Series and my first book by this author and I have to say I wasn't disappointed It is only a short story novella length but it packed plenty of punch for its size

This is the story of Destiny the eldest of four sisters she is about to be mated to Voss by her family but she knows that he isn't her fated mate she dreams of him and his name is Luke, so she goes on the run to try to find him. This is only a short story if I had any criticism it is that the characters could have so much more depth there was plenty of promise there it just didn't come through

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward to continuing with the series.

This is a Novella, so a quick read for someone looking to not get in a long involved book. It's the first of four Novellas and are a paranormal romance series. Not something I normally read but still not bad.
The plot was exciting, the writing style was easy to follow, and it was enjoyable. The characters were well created and interesting.
I won't be interested in following up with the series but it's because I don't read this genre generally. If you do read it I recommend it. I rate it a 3 star

I got a copy of this for a fair and honest review. I think I got this book because the main character's name is Destiny like my own. Plus it was about wolf shifters and perfect mates. It was short and sweet. Dreams of a perfect person to come home too. I enjoyed it.

A great shifter romance with enough daring to keep the most finicky reader entertained. The characters are written to resemble someone you’d meet on the street, not necessarily like, but definitely familiar. Fate meets realism in twists and turns, which along with a detailed background to support the story-line and leads, make this novel a wonderful way to escape into the world of shifters.

This is Book 1 in the Perfect Mate series. It’s also the first book that I’ve read by this author. It was a really good book, a little short, but still good. Destiny is the oldest of 4 girls. Her parents have tried to force her to marry Voss, but she’s determined not to. She’s had a dream of her destined mate, Luke. He has to be out there somewhere. It was a good story but needed more detail in a couple of places. If the author had gone into the story a little deeper, it would have turned into a great book. If you are looking for a quick read, then I would recommend this one to you. I voluntarily read and reviewed this copy that I received from Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Destiny’s Mate by Brey King is the first of four novellas in the Perfect Mate series. This series is a paranormal romance series that centers around four werewolf sisters with each book featuring a sister finding their mate.

Destiny is the first of the four sisters that is determined she’s not going into the arranged mating her parents want and instead has run away to find the man she knows is her perfect mate. After a couple of years on the run and in hiding Destiny is about to meet her man when out of nowhere an accident happens that puts their new found relationship in danger.

Going into Destiny’s Mate I knew that this was a novella so I expected the story to be really short but what I didn’t expect was feeling like I’d read a rough draft or outline of a book. I am a huge fan of a fast pace read but this one was over within the blink of an eye and felt like it barely touched the surface of the events in the book. It’s really a shame too that the author chose not to go deeper with this story because there were hints at some things that would make it stand out in this particular genre.

I’d also like to note that for me as short as this one was it felt a tad repetitive with the use of “my mate” over and over thus another thing that brought it down a bit in my opinion. I get the whole shifter dynamic so it didn’t need to be said every other paragraph. So unfortunately this one just wasn’t my cup of tea having read much more detailed stories at the same length.

I received an a copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

I thought this book was going to be good based off of the description. I started reading it, I couldn't get past chapter 1. The writing just seemed... Childish or from someone that's beginning to write. Within the first chapter, the point of view changed several (4 or 5) times. I think Brey King needs to rewrite the book differently. The storyline just seems... predictable.

Destiny is on the run. Her mother is attempting to force her to marry someone she cannot stand. While she knows that the perfect mate it out there somewhere, she is just not exactly sure of where to find him at. After being attacked by the one who wants to marry her, she flees her families land.

Finding her mate is taking longer than she expected, but she is certain that she is close. But just when she finds him, the unexpected happens, and Voss shows up and attempts to kidnap her away from Luke.

A fun and quick read, just perfect for the lunch hour break! The passion in this delightful novel will not leave you disappointed!
