This is a great book. It explains how to use essential oils, recipes for making them for health and well-being and what to use them for. I was very interested in what to use for my allergies. I found several things I want to try. It also has the recipes for bath bombs, lip balms, lotions and so many other things. The bath bomb for exhaustion looks amazing. There is just so much in here and it's so in-depth that I will use this frequently as a reference.I received this book from Net Galley and Llewellyn for an honest review and no compensation otherwise.

I’m really not a ‘spiritual’ person but I enjoy using essential oils in a fun and practical way.
This book gives heaps of ideas for using essential oils at home, using delivery methods such as bath bombs, sugar scrubs and lip balms – so actually, it’s a book about making your own cosmetics, which I love.
The recipes are indexed by delivery method and emotional ‘condition’ and are given cute names. I’m all for the ‘Sexual Soak’, the ‘Mellow me out Spray’ and the ‘I’m the Greatest and I know it Rub’ but the ‘Lucky Bath’ and ‘Money Money Bath Salts’ almost stray into witchcraft.
Each essential oil recipe is followed by the instructions on how to make the spritz, ointment, diffuser or whatever – this means these methods are reprinted over and over again. I’d have preferred a separate ‘method’ section , maybe with step-by-step photographs.
There is a little bit of what I (apologetically to those who believe) call ‘mumbo jumbo’ but, as this is a book you can dip into or use as reference, people like me can just skim past it.
A lovely book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Llewellyn Worldwide for this digital arc.

A complete encyclopedic book about the essential oils. An amazing selection of recipes to do Bath and Shower Bomb,Lip Balm and more delightful items. Also, the book contains the list of benefits of each essentials oil, an intro to Ayurveda and more useful information with the references at the end of the book. The book can be used by any level of expertise on the domain.

This seems thorough, but I found it difficult to locate recipes because of the layout of the book. The sections are divided into the following somewhat confusing categories:
Chakras and Doshas
Recipes for Conditions
Recipes for Emotions
Recipes for Needs
Recipes for Desires
Recipes for Devotion

Whaa?

I did like the glossary and reference list. And I really liked the inclusion of two appendices: 'Warnings for Each Essential Oil' and 'Therapeutic Properties of Each Essential Oil.'

An acessible reference book on essential oils. I found the recipes somehow repetitive but the extensive oil information is a handy guide.
