Oh. My. Gawd. Brody is my book boyfriend crush and most definitely the best thing about this find from NetGalley. As awesome as this discovery was -- I can't believe I've never read anything by author Mira Lyn Kelly and this series which I stumbled into and am now curious about previous books -- this was a book that had my gut churning. I mean, that whole Ted thing was awkward and awful and it pained me to see Brody struggle on being the good guy and I had to put the book down because it was clear we were going to segue into Ted territory or uncertainty in Brody-Gwen relationship and I just hate those parts because all I want is the HEA and more of it.

Prior to this book, I'd never read anything by Mira Lyn Kelly. There was no description for this novel on NetGalley, so I took a chance. I'm so glad I did!
I quickly fell in love with the group of friends described in this book. (This is the 4th book in a series; I went back and tore through the previous three books.)
Gwen is in love with Ted, her long-time best friend. Brody admires Gwen, but he can see she's head over heels for Ted. He offers to help Gwen get Ted's attention, but Brody is hoping Gwen will forget about Ted in favor of him.
What neither Gwen nor Brody realized is that Ted has been in love with Gwen all this time, too.
I won't spoil the outcome for you, but I'll say this: despite the fact that there were three players in this romantic drama, it didn't feel like your typical melodramatic love triangle.
A fun, steamy read - highly recommended.

This is the fourth and final book in the series and is the story of Brody and Gwen. A little love triangle of sorts between Brody, Gwen, and Ted who's clueless. A fake love interest that maybe turns real (no spoiler). This was a great book and Brody and Gwen were wonderful characters that were hard not to love. Entertaining and fun to read. I read a reader copy via Net Galley and voluntarily chose to review.

I have read all four books in this series and I have loved them all. This story is Brody and Gwen. Brody is the last of his best friends that is not married. I will just have to say Brody is absolutely swoon worthy. He is tall, built and long hair. Gwen is a total sweetheart who has pined after her childhood bestfriend Ted who was also her neighbor growing. Ted also leaves in the same apartment building as Gwen now. Brody and Gwen met several years ago due to being in mutual friends wedding. Brody had an instant attraction to Gwen, but he could tell she was hung up on Ted. Although Ted was oblivious of Gwens feelings.
Brody comes up with a plan to get Ted's attention for Gwen. He tells her that Ted sees her as a warm blanket that will always be there for him whenever he wants. He tells Gwen to make herself unavailable and find a new love interest. He tells her he will be the love interest. Gwen at this point agrees even though she doesn't like to be called a warm blanket. At first Gwen is okay with Brody and the fake relationship. Then each passing day things Gwens feelings can't tell what's real and what's pretend.
This is a sweet story that is full of laughs, sexy scenes and love. It is written in dual POV. I loved this book and hope its not the last of this series.
I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

This is the final book in the series. I believe it is book 3 and I have read them all. Each one is seriously super fun. It is about a group of friends who find love. This is Brody's story. He owns a bar and doesnt have a family but his college friends became his family. He has a close friend getting married and that is how he meets and gets to know Gwen. However she only has eyes for Ted, a close family friend. Ted is sorta a manwhore and so Brody thinks he is a jerk and he wants Gwen to see that so he crafts this big plan to date Gwen so Ted will get jealous and Gwen will get him and find out what a jerk he is.
Does it work? Well I am not spoiling that but it was a lot of fun and I loved both Gwen and Brody especially as they become best friends. They have several communication issues which I did not love but I liked that they did not drag on forever. The author resolves them fast. And in the end I kinda liked Ted too.
Great story and great series I highly recommend it.

Brody, Brody, Brody!!! You are SUCH a sweet guy!! Ya'll I adore him!!! Gwen needed a wakeup call and Brody slipped in to provide it.. Love their banter and the "If I was yours" type stuff! Sweet romance with a little heat!

Brody and Gwen’s book was so AMAZING, I wanted to hug them both and then also slap a little sense into them sometimes (Mostly Brody, but Gwen had her moments). Just loved this book and series!

The story of Brody and Gwen.
Brody was attracted to Gwen the first time he met her. Only problem is that she is in love with Ted, who only see her as his friend.
So Brody convices Gwen to let him help her out - he will make Ted realise Gwen is the one he wants.
But what will happen as Gwen and Brody start to spend more time together?
I have read other booksin this series and loved them too - looking forward to more from this author!

Brody was hopelessly attracted to Gwen since the first met. Unfortunately, he could tell that she was in love with someone else. A year or so later, she and some friends began frequenting his bar and they became friends. Gwen thought she was still in love with a childhood crush, who didn’t really notice her, so Brody cooked up a cockamamie plan to help her crush notice her. Well, he began to notice her about the same time that agwen and Brody started to notice each other. After a couple of starts and restarts, they finally figured it out. This story was an excellent conclusion to the series and it was great to see how the earlier couple’s relationships had progressed.

This is Brody and Gwen book, Brody owns a pub and qwen is a substitute teacher, I did read the book before this one and absolutely loved it! This book was good but not as good as the book before it! I still liked it but not as well! Not to much drama, angst or much happened it just flowed along. Like I said decent read definitely worth the read but not my favorite! Thank you NetGalley and sourcebook publishers for sharing this book with me!
