This the first book by RL Dunn that I read. Am amazing book. It has romance, humor, action, mystery, suspense, suffering, everything. At times, the book keeps you on the edge of your seat.. This was one book which I didn't want to put down without knowing the entire story. Eagerly waiting for more from RL Dunn

This was a fantastic read. A book that caught me from the beginning and had me reading through the night into morning for what happens next.

Intrigue, secrets, murder, politics and Art all blend together to make this a must read.

Cassie was a strong woman, a little too headstrong at times but i liked how her character worked with Ian. Ian is the ultimate Alpha , he was in the military but now runs a company with his brother which deploys to assist people and sometimes the government with their skills. When Cassie comes back into his life after six years, he senses something is wrong, but it's not until an assignment she is on goes horribly wrong and her past life collides with her present that we really see him in action. When she is nearly killed, then attempts on her life made while in hospital. Ian and his teams breaks out the big guns and it's time to unveil some dark secrets.

This book read like an action movie, and i loved it. I can't wait to read more by this author if this is her usual pace.

This book does contain some violent scenes/flashbacks so possible triggers for some.

At times, this story was a heavy read but R.L. Dunn’s use of suspense, humour and action kept me interested. The characters as well as the plot are complex. Some of the heroine’s experiences were realistic and heartbreaking, making it easy to forget the story is fiction. I read this story in one sitting, there was no skipping ahead because of my impatience to find out what happened next. Definitely worth my time. I would recommend this book to a friend without reservation.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. I only put it down to recharge my kindle. There was love, there was intrigue, there was a very complex mystery ( maybe a little overly so, but the whole story made it worth it). Even the medical stuff, there was no miracle recovery, there was rehab and setbacks and PTSD and the acceptance of therapy as an important component of recovery from trauma. As soon as I finished I looked for other books, because I thought it was a series. Please make this a series . Strong 4.5 stars

Cassie has been thru hell. Raped at sixteen, impregnated and has amnesia of the event as she was drugged. Her engagement was broken off by her fiancee. She works for the FBI, is an heiress and orphaned. She's strong but a person can only take so much. Meanwhile, she meets Ian Chase, the president of the international conglomerate, Chase Group, She is very attracted to him but is afraid to get close as she thinks she is not good enough for him. Ian cares so much for Cassie and is willing to work thru her problems whatever they are. They both attend a charity dinner where Cassie is undercover and the attraction is there. Cassie gets attacked and almost dies. Ian watches over her as he realizes that someone wants her dead. Will he be able to protect her? Will she remember who hurt her? I loved this story of survival, love and family. I strongly recommend this book. I received this book from Net Galley and BooksGoSocial for a honest review and no compensation otherwise.

Great storyline full of mystery, intrigue and suspense It was hard to put down but a person needs to sleep...it his had so many great characters.......what did they (and who are They?) do to Cassie and why? I couldn’t wait to get to the end to find out.......Excellent book, I’ve never read anything by RL Dunn before but I can assure I will be looking for more books written by her.....I do hope there will be more Chase group story’s

Unfortunately the author lost me about 10% of the way through. Either there is another book in this series that has to be read first to understand who the key players are or the author intends for the reader to be lost. Trying to keep track of everyone, their roles and how they knew each other was too much too quickly.

Cassie is a rich, art dealer, and FBI agent. Six years ago she was attacked and doesn’t remember much about it. Ian owns several companies including a security business. He meets her the night of her attack but she was engaged at the time. Now she is on protection duty for a man about to announce his run for President. Ian is seated at her table along with her ex fiancé, his family, and a couple more people. She is attacked in the bathroom and shoots her attacker. She almost dies several times and while in the hospital she is giving an infection, a sponge is left in, and after she’s stable Ian has everything she needs moved to his mansion. But someone is still after her and Ian will do anything to keep her safe.
It is a confusing story because everyone’s dialogue runs together but hopefully that will get fixed before publication. At first it was a hard story to follow but it keeps you coming back for more. Suspense, action, romance and mystery. Cassie doesn’t believe she deserves love but Ian is trying his best to convince her she is. It is a really good story.
