Good Little Girls by Rita Herron is the second novel in the romantic suspense The Keepers series. This series is a little different than most in the fact that the story has carried over from the first book but yet the main characters have changed. Ideally the series is best enjoyed starting from the beginning to get the ongoing story.
Tinsley Jensen was one of the victims of the serial killer known as the Skull and she was the only surviving hostage. Rescued by FBI agent Wyatt Camden Tinsley has still been living in fear that the Skull is going to return to finish what he started and she spends all her time locked in her cottage on Seahawk Island.
One night Tinsley is alone at her cottage when she thinks she sees someone outside and begins to have a panic attack. The more Tinsley tries to convince herself she is strong and can fight back the worse the attack becomes so she calls Wyatt for help. When evidence shows up nearby looking as if the killer is back Wyatt vows that this time he will protect Tinsley and keep her safe while catching the killer.
This second installment of The Keepers series felt even more intense than the first. The story not only includes chasing the killer in question but there is vigilante justice going on with a group known as the Keepers so there’s always some action. And the fact that I bonded better with Tinsley and Wyatt than I had with the previous leads probably helped my enjoyment more. It was horrific hearing what Tinsley had gone through so I immediately felt for her and wanted her protected. The ending left room for the series to continue and I’ll definitely look for book three.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. Good Little Girls is the second book in The Keepers series and this book was just absolutely wonderful. It was so easy to get lost in and I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Tinsley rescues animals and helps find them forever homes. Untik she's abducted by the Skull. A serial killer that scarred her mind, body and soul. Thanks to FBI agent Wyatt she's free. Her rapist is still on the loose and he wants her back. There's also a vigilante group killing rapist and murderers called the Keepers.
I felt really bad for Tinsley to be freed but still imprisoned. I cant imagine the fear she lived with. The author does a great job of making her and Wyatt real and likable. I finished reading this in a few hours. It was that good.
Book 2 in The Keepers series find Tinsley Jensen still a captive in her own cottage on Seahawk Island, still terribly afraid of the Skull who raped and tortured her years ago. The Skull wants to finish what he started and Tinsley becomes convinced he has returned and is playing games with her. Will anyone believe she is not just being paranoid?
FBI Special Agent Wyatt Camden, drawn to Tinsley despite her pushing him away, vows to protect her and catch the Skull before he tries again. But is Tinsley just imagining the Skull's return?
Herron's books are always a great read.
Thanks for the opportunity to read this before it hits shelves later. I haven't read the other books in this series but after reading this one I want to go back a read them. This book had it all for me, murder, revenge, romance and all the little things that made this book amazing for me. I really liked Tinsley from the beginning she was a survivor and all the way through. I was a little worried about the reporter, but I guess there has to be characters you don't like, in all the books. This was a great book and recommend for sure.
Love this series!! The Keepers, the skull who is trying to scare Tinsley? . Is the Skull back or is this a copy cat? Will Tinsley finally be free of the skull? SO many questions answered in this second book in the keepers series. Glad to see there looks to be a third in the series. I have always loved Rita Herron's books and she didn't disappoint in this series. Suspense , a bit of romance perfect romantic suspense book!!! Look forward to the next book! Read this series! I guarantee it will keep you up all night reading!
Good Little Girls is the second fast-paced suspense book in The Keepers series written by author Rita Herron. Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for the advance copy.
3* Reads a little tired and with a female who yes, might have survived an ordeal, but who was rather selfish...
I've not read book 1 in this series, but you don't need to. There are enough hints about the type of book it was, and what happened that I suspect I know who the leads are.
This reads OK, but it's rather slow moving and a little lacklustre in parts. I did get that the female lead was seriously traumatised, but she came across as a heroine from the 80s/90s, not a contemporary one. She wasn't, thankfully, TSTL, but she perhaps could have used her brain a little more where a certain character close to her was concerned, and might have helped avoid the loss of a good person.
The tale didn't have the angst or danger that I expected, and the romance felt inorganic - there'd been an attraction from before, it seemed, but when the leads got together, towards the end of the tale (understandably, realistically) it was low-key and a little too... sudden, especially with the traumas we were privy to.
Not sure if there will be more in the series, but it's possible, as another female character featured (and was a lot more interesting than this lead), but it's not a series for me.

This is Rita Herron's second book in The Keepers series . This is Tinsley's story of what happened to her when she was kidnapped by The Skull in Pretty Little Killers . Tinsley was brutally attacked and tortured for days by The Skull but was rescued by FBI agent Wyatt Camden . Wyatt is busy searching for not only The Skull but The Keepers ,vigilante killers that are killing the city's most dark and depraved citizens for justice . This is a gruesome hold your breath crime thriller ! A good long look into the mind of a serial killer ! Herron created a perfectly dark , unsettling , spellbinding storyline ! A MUST read ! IN Rita Herron’s second book in the Keeper Series, we find out what happened to the Skull’s last victim in Pretty Little Killers.
Tinsley Jensen was rescued by FBI agent Wyatt Camden, but since she’s been free, she’s become a prisoner in her own home. Terrified the Skull is still out there and will come back to claim her – the girl that got away – she has a panic attack whenever she tries to leave her home, making her an agoraphobic. She is terrified of anyone touching her and hates that the Skull ruined her chances of every finding intimacy and love with a man.
Wyatt Camden wants to catch the Skull and not only because it’s his job. He want to see Tinsley live her life again, be the girl she was before she was kidnapped, raped and tortured.
When the Skull makes his presence known to Tinsley, first by kidnapping her friend, then someone very close to her, it’s a beat-the-clock suspense storyline finish to the end.
I loved the first Keepers book and this one was just as good. The dialogue is excellent, the conflicts well drawn out and the plot fast.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read an arc of this book for an honest opinion.
5 stars from me.
3 1/2 Stars
Good Little Girls is a dark, unforgiving story that will stick with readers long after they put the book down. Rita Herron create a dark world where killers who get away with the most hainius of crimes are free because of the wealthy and technicalities of the law. Individuals (Keepers) decide they can no longer allow this to happen. They kill those who are the vile of the world.
I couldn't give the book a full 4 because the end of the story is rushed and unrealistic compared to the rest of the story. The author throws the ending together to make HEA readers happy which wasn't need and took the story away from its realism.
Even though this is in a series this is a stand a lone novel. The first book is mentioned enough to allow readers to understand what is going on but not enough to pull away from the current story.
Good little girls might trigger those who have sexual assault.
Thank you to Netgalley and Montlake for the advance copy of Rita Herron Good Little Girls.
This book had a thrilling storyline and touches a little on some side effects of panic attacks and PTSD. Maybe I should have read the first one first as I felt I was missing a little something. Good book none-the-less.

This is the second book in the Keepers series from Rita Herron. I've read several of her books including book 1 of the series. This could be read as a stand alone book, but there are many overlapping characters with book 1 so I encourage reading that one first. If you are not familiar with Rita Herron, you should know that she does not shy away from discussing the dark things that her characters go through. There are depictions and flashbacks of very violent and graphic scenes. So be warned.
This story follows Tinsley and Wyatt. Tinsley has faced a lot of trauma in her life, including being abducted, raped and tortured several months prior to this story. She is agoraphobic and because of this is trapped in her fear. Wyatt is the agent assigned to her case several months and they have developed a close friendship. Throughout the story, you can see the two opening up more to each other and she begins to break free from the fear.
There are actually multiple "villains" in this story, but 1 true big bad. If you are not familiar with the Keepers storyline, they are a group of women who met in a private chat room and in the first book one goes rogue and becomes a vigilante. Given that they target rapists and murders, it's hard to consider them the main villains. The author has a way with creating sympathetic characters who are not always 100% good. And that makes for a good story.
This is the 2nd book in the Keeper Series. Very suspenseful mystery and I loved the characters. The end left you wanting more and I can not wait till the next books come out
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
Tinsley was held captive by the Skull and brutalised and degraded but she was rescued by detective Camden. Wyatt is now busy trying to pursue the Keepers, vigilante killers trying to rid the city of the depraved madmen.
Tinsley is in danger and can she escape again as the skull is hunting her. This was brilliantly written and I look forward to the next book and seeing how characters evolve.
I read the first in this series and this one did not disappoint!! What a great 2nd book in the Keeper Series. Suspenseful .... thrilling ... completely invested in the outcome of the characters. Can't wait to read the next one!!
Thank you #netgalley and #montlakeromance for the eARC.
Whew.. Now that was a suspenseful book... If I suffered from anxiety I'd need a pill after that.. FYI.. This is NOT a standalone book. You need to have read the first one.
Man where to start.. Tinsley Jensen is the sole survivor of the serial killer known as the Skull. Since her escape she has been a shut in from fear since he escaped capture.
FBI Agent Wyatt Camden was one of the agents that was on her case when she went missing and was the one that rescued her but was almost gravely injured by the Skull. Now fully recovered he still feels a sense of guilt that they were unable to capture the Skull and keeps in close contact with Tinsley even though she skittish around people, especially men.
The 1st anniversary of when Tinsley was taken is coming up and everyone is on edge knowing that the Skull is probably going to come back and take her. This right here is when your anxiety levels start going up.. Not going to give too much away but the author did a spectacular job with the build up that was also accompanied by other side plots that were just as thrilling.
I cannot wait to see what's next in this insane series..
A interesting second in a series thriller. I picked it because of the cover but enjoyed it. I would recommend it to those who enjoy thrillers.
Tinsley Jensen has become a shut in. She was kidnapped and tortured by The Skull. She is the only victim of The Skull who has lived. Now she is afraid that he will come back and so she never leaves her house. She has cut off everyone, including her sister Carrie Anne. Carrie Anne is desperate to reconnect with her sister which leads to some very bad choices on her part. Cat Landon, former FBI profiled is in a psychiatric facility. She joined a group called The Keepers who sought justice for victims and didn’t care how they got it. FBI agent Wyatt Camden helped rescue Tinsley and she has grown to depend on him. He is one of the only people she truly trusts.
This story mainly revolves around Tinsley but Carrie Anne and Cat play a big part in the mystery. Marilyn Ellis, the reporter who will do anything to get a story, is an unlikable figure. I kept hoping she’d get taken by The Skull. This is the second book in The Keepers series but it could be read as a stand alone. This book has suspense, mystery and a sweet romance. I had a hard time putting it down. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
Tinsley Jensen may have escaped a brutal killer, but she’s still a prisoner in her own home. Tormented by memories of the madman that nearly killed her and who is still on the loose, Tinsley stays closed up inside her island home. FBI agent Wyatt Camden saved Tinsley once and feels duty bound to make sure nothing happens to her. While he has feelings for her, Tinsley can’t open herself up enough to have a relationship with Wyatt. Instead she finds comfort in the online support group she’s joined, not realizing she’s inviting danger into her island sanctuary. As always, Herron delivers an action packed story with a creepy killer and a spunky heroine
