As someone who has had body dysmorphic disorder for most of my life, this was a very helpful book. I found the tips to be helpful and comfortable and I try to rebuild a connection with my ownself. I would definitely recommend this book!
I absolutely love that someone has written a book about befriending one’s body! And I also absolutely love that this author underscored the theme of self-compassion throughout the entire book. I am not a therapist or a counselor of any kind, and even though I felt like the book was maybe slanted towards professionals who are working with clients who have body issues, I received a lot from it Also.
