A preview that will have you laughing and anxiously waiting for the book to be published. A quick into Laurenston humor and fun. Interesting characters and a plot that is full of humor, danger and excitement.
Crazy, smart, emotional Stevie and bamboo eating Shen --- I cannot wait! I know this book is going to be highly hilarious and intensely sexual. I don't know how I will make it until April of 2019. This author writes amazingly humorous sexy books.
Well, what a tease.... I thought I was getting the full book.
It is off to a great start.... and I look forward to reading the full novel.
I think this series is such a fun and entertaining series!
I absolutely LOVED this excerpt and cannot wait to read the whole book! Shelly Laurenston/G.A. Aiken is one of my absolute favorite fantasy romance authors and no wonder when she has the most on point, laugh out loud, humor I've ever encountered. Just the idea of reading her books brings a smile to my face and that's worth it's weight in gold. Her stories are also very engaging and I like that they're not just chatacter driven, but also has good plots as a rule. Her books are a 2 for 1 deal in that regard and this latest series is no exception. Thank you to the publisher for giving me this sneak peek!
Can't wait to read the entire this. The preview was like a description of a very funny and entertaining book.
Many thanks to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this ARC
Can't wait for IN A BADGER WAY...always a fun time with Shelly Laurenston and her amazing shifters. The humor and snark is always spot on-you can feel the emotions and want to jump into the story.
In a Badger Way draws you in and keeps you wanting more. Another amazing book from Shelly Laurenston.
You are introduced to Stevie MacKilligan and Shen Li. Two opposites who can't seem to seperate even if they wish to. They will have you laughing and shaking your head from the very beginning.
In a Badger Way, by Shelly Laurenston is a captivating and highly entertaining paranormal action-suspense romance. My review is based on only the prologue and first chapter, yet I'm definitely interested in reading the rest of book!
Stevie MacKilligan is an unusual shifter, even among her fellow shifters. Her personality ranges from shy and extremely terrified of bears (except panda bears) to ferocious and terrifying everyone in her path. As the youngest of three honey badger shifter sisters, Stevie is overall the least violent, yet always finds herself in troublesome situations.
Due to various circumstances in the first book of the series, Stevie and her half-sisters are living in a bear shifter community, along with her brilliant musical friend and his panda bear shifter bodyguard, Shen. While the prologue focuses on Stevie's childhood, the first chapter reintroduces Shen (who was also featured in the first book), as he and Stevie are already dealing with humorous situations! This book seems to focus on the Stevie and Shen, yet the other characters are vital to the story...a sometimes violent story that's still full of heart, hotness, and humor.
It's the second book in The Honey Badgers series, and I'm looking forward to reading the full novel, as soon as it's released. :) While waiting for the release date, check out the first book in the series, which is titled as Hot and Badgered. For fans of this series, there are two additional book series, titled as Magnus Pack and Pride, that precede the The Honey Badgers within the same world.
Based on the prologue and first chapter, In a Badger Way is recommended and geared towards those who enjoy reading unique paranormal action-suspense romances.
Note: I received this book excerpt from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I voluntarily read an advanced preview 1st chapter copy of this book and I loved it!
I need more ASAP, I had to laugh at myself when I got to the end of the chapter because I kept swiping to get to the next page....I was so into it I forgot that I only had one chapter!
"ARC is a two chapter preview of the book"
Okay, this author has been one of my absolute favorites since the discovery of her shapeshifting trilogy "the Magnus pack" - and from there it has been nothing but nights of anticipation for her next release. The first book of this new spin off brought me back into the world I loved, the humor and the romance was enough to make me laugh and steam up the glasses!
First things first, the intro to this second novelization has me prepping for my pre-order almost immediately. Our first introduction to the leading lady in the first book made my not only love her character, but thirst for more interaction with her crazy sisters. Finally, I get our males story too! Ive been waiting for my panda to get his happy ever after since he entered the page on that first iceskating game. Those two are going to be an excellent pair! Can not wait for the story to continue! This sneak peak has me wanting more!
I received this ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review. Netgalley provided a short excerpt from the book (maybe the first two chapters?). It's a continuation of Ms. Laurenston's new focus within the wonderful alternate world that she's created. In this world, humans coexist, unbeknownst to them, with shapeshifters of all breeds. Bad things happen (but not graphically), characters are well written, each book has a hero & heroine with an HEA. All good things. I enjoy everything I've ever written by Ms. Laurenston under both of her pen names. This looks to be another great addition to the series and I've already pre-ordered my copy from Amazon.
DO YOU DON’T YOU.......
Its a catch 22 for readers, a book you are waiting patiently(read desperately) for has the first few chapters available to hype the interest in the book reader for the release day.
Do you download or don’t you?
Can you wait once you have had that clip for the release or will you be even more desperate for the book than you were pre spoiler because now you have that connection with the characters that you didnt have before. Its the age old question and I have to admit I love a spoiler chapter but sometimes they are just a little too much for me to take when I know I have an age to wait for the release of the book it’s a sneak peak of.
I was lucky enough to be selected to read the preview chapter of the latest Honey Badger book by Shelly Laurenston In a Badger Way and I can’t wait to read the rest if only March wasn’t so far away I’ll be on tenterhooks waiting for the release to read Shen and Stevie’s story, just how would a honeybadger Hybrid and a giant panda coupling work? Well if those first few chapters are any indication with a lot of anxiety filled funny moments, burrowing and chewing of bamboo.
Can’t wait #honeybadgersarecoming
This is a review of a sample given to me by Netgalley for a honest review. First confession: I already read all those scene in excerpt the author had already released for the fan of the series. I hoped this excerpt would have new scene, but no luck. Onto the story: this is the excerpt of book two of the Badger series. Book one was Hot and badgered, which is a spinoff of her pride series. It is about Stevie the third and baby of the Mcgilligan sisters, whom we met in the previous book. If you read the previous book you'll remember Stevie had an unusual reaction to Chen (who we first met in Bite Me (Pride #9) he is Vic Barinov (the hero) best friend) so it was not much a surprise but more exited glee that greet the news that those two would be he heroes of the next story. This open by given us a bit more insight to the sisters unusual childhood, from Stevie side. And we see Chen take his first try at calming Stevie himself (if you'll remember from the previous book she suffer nervous breakdown from having panic attack) and for a fist try with no help it was not bad. Kyle Jean-Louis Parker our lovable narcissistic genius return once more, and he is entitled as ever! All in all am existed for this new book, and this preview did nothing more then wet my appetite for more, can't wait!
Thanks for letting me try this book. but it was a little too full on, a little too madcap, a little too many cooks right from the very start, making me wonder if I'd missed a previous book or an extended prologue somewhere, or even possibly a first chapter. It was frankly too confusing to progress beyond the first chapter.
Thank you, however, for the chance to try it out.
shelly is amazing and talented. i love the shifters and how strong willed they are. they don't let anything hold them back.
I really enjoyed the first book in this series and am looking forward to this one. I love her strong characters!
Omg the first chapter just teased me and now I’m even more ready to read this book! March seems so far away! 😩😩
I can't wait to read the rest. I've been waiting for shen's book since he was introduced years ago!! March can't come fast enough.
I loved the excerpt and want the full book.
The prologue was interesting and shines new light on Charlie and Max. I knew they were awesome but not that awesome, especially when so young.
I'm curious how Stevie knew that the nurse was going to kill her. She's very young at his point, and shouldn't have gone through puberty yet. Do shifter kids have a better sense of smell then normal humans? Did she smell the drug?
I also got to give Shen props. I laughed about the bamboo and driving the bears away with his noise. It's at an evil genius level of awesome. I'm a little sad that he didn't want to help Stevie more but kinda get it. He's supposed to be watching Kyle, not Stevie. But he has the hots with the girl. He should at least try and play nice.
I love this and can't wait for the entire book to be available. These books are wonderful and I can't wait to see where the story leads.
