i only received a one chapter of the book, and loved it. Shelly Laurenston does it again, love her world! I am hoping that as we get closer to the book release date I will get the rest to read. now I have to wait til next year to read her book :(
I absolutely love this series and get so excited when one of Shelly Laurenston's book are getting ready to be released. Stevie and her sisters as re so entertaining and draw you instantly to their stories. I cannot wait until the entire book is released.
I enjoyed this story by Shelly Laurenston! This sisters were crazy but in a great way and a Panda is my favorite bear too! How can you not want to cuddle one. Stevie and Shen are a great couple and I can't wait to read more of this series.
Well written engaging characters. Impatient for book to be published. If quality is like her other books this too will be a real winner.
Love this author. I have read every book, including the prior book introducing this interesting trio of sisters. As usual, hilarious and well written. Disappointed to find it was only the first few chapters and not the entire book. Good thing it’s in my wish list on Amazon.
I love this series and this excerpt! I can not wait for the whole book to be out. No one makes me laugh harder than Laurenston. She’s a master at her craft.
Loving the sneak preview of this book. Can wait until next year when the book comes out. Learning more about Stevie and her past is going to make a great book. Yes!!! Bring on more Honey Badger Chronicles.
I did not realize this was only the first chapter when I downloaded it. I will say it was very interesting and I would like to read the whole book, but I can not give a review on so small a portion of the book.
I received this ARC preview from Netgalley.
The first few chapters grabbed my attention and made me laugh. I wasn't certain about the panda shifter being the male lead but his thoughts were interesting and quietly manipulative. There isn't any attraction yet but it will be fascinating to see it develop.
I was already excited and not so patiently waiting for this book to come out.. Then I read this small excerpt and am ready to read the whole book! I need to know what happens! I love these characters and cannot wait to find out more!
This is a review of the teaser...not the entire book.
I absolutely love this authors work, she never fails to deliver quirky characters that draw you in and engage you. I’ve loved Shen since we first met him, who wouldn’t want to hug that big panda? The MacKilligan sisters are an absolute riot and I am so happy to get more of them. For lovers of this author this will be a must read, if you haven’t read her work go to the beginning and make your way here. I feel a reread of her work coming on just from this teaser.
This was a complimentary advanced reader copy provided by the author and publisher in exchange for a honest review via Netgalley.
I really love this author, and had high hopes for this book. I was given a brief section to review, so my view was limited. Stevie and Shen are the two main characters, but the section I saw was a lot darker than others I've read by her. Not as snarky, and a little hard to get into the characters since the section didn't give a wide view. Would recommend, but like some of her other books better.
This is the second book in a trilogy but a book in a story Arc of shifters.
I would say that its possible to read this book as a stand alone but it would make the book much more enjoyable if you read the back log of books attached to.
The main characters are Stevie (honey badger) and Shen (Panda).
I didn't quite connect with Stevie as character in the in the first book but with the backstory given in the first chapter in this book you get to see the circumstances that have created her. I got a sense she is not as high strung as her sister Max makes her out to be ....
I loved Shen from the first book he appeared in with the other bear shifter books but I really didn't see it coming that he would be paired with Stevie.
Overall I can't wait to see where this book takes us.
This review is for the preview/sample.
I loved it! I’m already hooked! I can’t wait for this book 👏🏻❤️
This review is for the preview, and it was wonderful! We get a glimpse of young Stevie, her unique abilities, why her life took some of the turns it did, and part of her make-up. We also see a bit of Shen, and whether he likes it or not, the things he will do for her. And of course, there has to be a bad guy, some intrigue, and someone pulling the strings behind the scenes, and we get to see that as well. This whetted my appetite, and made me want the full story even more!
Review of sample...
Of course I'm already hooked, I can not wait to read the whole book.... I'm still having a hard time seeing how Stevie and the panda will work.
In a Badger Way is the second book in the Honey Badger Chronicles by Shelly Laurentson. Published by Kensington Books and with an anticipated release date in late March, 2019 this teaser chapter is a sample of the novel to come.
Paranormal humour/romance readers, especially those familiar with the author's other works will be in raptures. This is fun, full of drama and some whimsy and will please its target audience. The action sequences are completely over-the-top, but it's ecapist and undemanding.
For readers unfamiliar with the earlier stories in this series or with the related characters, this might not be the best entry point; there's not a lot of background information. It would probably be better to hunt down some of the background stories before diving into this one. There are a lot of very badly written wince-worthy paranormal romances out there. This one is well written and not cringe-worthy at all.
Four stars.
This was just the first chapters of the story, and I can't wait to read the whole thing! Stevie is an anxiety ridden hybrid, and absolutely one of my favorite characters in all of the shifter series yet. I cannot wait for the full book!
This is only a teaser but I love this book. Always thought that Shelly Laurenston writes the funniest books. Lots of LOL moments. The badgers are hilarious. Can't wait till this book actually comes out next year!
Even though just a tease (prologue & 1st chapter) that I got to read of this book, it shows everything you expect from the author -- great crazy fun characters, action, camaraderie, and lots of laughter (ok, not just laughter but outright bursts of giggles and laugh-out-loud guffaws as well). I do love the MacKilligan and can't wait to see Stevie turn poor Shen's easy going world upside down, inside out, and all turned around. The only bad part was that it was just a tease and now have to wait for the whole story.
