Rachel Ford Morgan comes back to her family's ranch for the holidays after graduating from college. She is happy to be able to reconnect with her family when she meets her new neighbor, Cauy Lymond, who has come back to take over the ranch left to him by his father. Rachel and Cauy both have baggage and heartache in their past as they try to get past those memories to make a new life for themselves. Enjoyed the story and sense of family values in the Morgan clan.

This is the 4th book in this series that I've read and I'm glad I picked it up!

We finally get Rachel's story! I've been dying for her story since we found out that she existed in the last book. We not only get to see how she's adapting to her surprise family but we learn more about what her life was like with her mom.

I loved Cauy's backstory and his own struggle with the ranch and his past. It was very interesting to see how he reacted to the Morgan's family involvement in his life when he moved in.

My only complaint was that I found Rachel to be rather immature at times. She constantly wanted to run, which I get based on her past, but it got old pretty quick. This is one of those times that the age difference in the characters was rather obvious.

This is a new to me author but this book is not the first in a series for Kate Pearce. Rachel was brought up by her mother and stepfather on the east coast, not knowing that she had a father and four brothers back in California. Cauy Lymond left his home at sixteen, feeling as though he never belonged. Cauy inherits the family farm from his father and returns to try and make a go of ranching. There are so many family dynamics that come into play with both Cauy and Rachel's families but they are all interconnected. It is not easy for a woman who has grown up thinking she was an only child to live with a family that includes a grandmother and four overprotective brothers. Nor was it easy for Cauy to return to a home where he thought he didn't belong. I very much enjoyed the journey these two made to find the life they were supposed to have. I have found a copy of the first book in the series and will now go back and read the backstories that led up to this one.

This the sixth book in the Morgan Ranch series. What a great book!! Rachel was introduced into the series in an earlier book, so I highly recommend that you read the previous books in the series first! You can read the book as a standalone, but you will understand more if you have read the other books. Rachel has returned to the ranch and her family. Cauy had also returned to his family’s ranch, but he never looked back after he initially left. Rachel and Cauy meet, but it is not a good meeting. Sparks did fly between the two, but they do not like each other. Cauy runs Rachel off his ranch, but because of that, the Morgan’s return with help. Cauy does not know what to make of the Morgan’s, because they do not seem anything like the stories he had heard. This book will keep you on your toes, and you will not want to put it down until the end! The characters are fantastic, and I love the twists and turns o the plot. I highly recommend this book! You will not be disappointed!

The Rancher by Kate Pearce is the sixth book in the Morgan Ranch Series. This book focuses on Rachel Morgan, the lost daughter of the Morgans. Rachel had just completed her engineering degree and had come to Morgan Ranch to spend time with her family - a family that is all new to her. She is especially interested in the old silver mine that straddles Morgan and Lymond land. That is how she meets Cauy Lymond.

Cauy Lymond has just returned to his family’s ranch. His “father” left him a dilapidated farmhouse with a farm that has been left abandoned. He has decided to start again and work on the ranch. His father hated the Morgans and often railed against them, but Cauy was not surprised since his father treated him the same way. Riding the fence line he ran across an intruder (Rachel), taking pictures of a fallen fence line.

Rachel is concerned with the mine and the sinkhole, crevice making hole. Cauy is concerned that she is a Morgan on his land. I have enjoyed everyone of Kate Pearce’s books in this series. I like the way she writes. I like the way her characters interact with each other. I like the way the family works together and helps everyone. It is clear to me that the area of the Sierras where the Morgan Ranch is a difficult place to live, but beautiful place. The Rancher by Kate Pearce is a great read.

Another great book from Morgan ranch. This one is a love story between new found sister from Morgans Rachel and new owner of neighbor ranch Cauy. Lovely book with two well-developed characters. I loved both of them they were so opposite Rachel open, optimistic and talkative and Cauy her dark opposite. But in the end, they developed toward each other deeper feelings. The story has a great plot, it is fun, has a few unexpected twists and is just enjoyable to read.

I have loved this series and was looking forward to Rachel Morgan’s story. She was the daughter taken away when her mother left the Morgan Ranch , her husband and her four small children. Never to be heard from again.
Rachel has now been reunited with her family and is adjusting to her new place in it, when she meets Cauy Lymond. He is the son of the Morgan’s long time enemy. Much to his surprise, he has inherited the dilapidated ranch from a father that never showed him any love. After an accident that still causes him pain, he’s determined move to the ranch and restore it.
Though their first meeting was less than ideal, the Morgan family and Cauy started forging a friendship as does a relationship with Rachel.
Will Rachel allow herself to be loved and will Cauy feel worthy of love?
A story with an engaging plot that at times was heartbreaking but also heartwarming. Not only were the main characters complex individuals but it was also great to visit with the characters from the previous stories.
Another winner in this series.

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

A scarred hero, whether physical or emotional, will draw me to a story. We now get the story of Rachel, the lost Morgan, and Cauy Lymond and what a story it is. There is so much emotion featured in this story. Controlling is an issue for both of these characters and stubbornness to boot. Can either let go and try not to control situations all of the time? Read this fabulous story and find out.

My second favorite story behind Yvonne and Rio’s. Even though we have now seen stories for all of the Morgans, could there be more stories…maybe Jackson? Oh, I see there is one. YAY! And Dave, yeah he deserves a spitfire also.

The Rancher is about an emotionally and physically scarred man returning to claim his inherited ranch from a father that loathed him. He loathed him to the point of driving him out of his ranch by the time he was sixteen.

But what he found when he returned was friends and family, even if they have to drag him kicking and screaming into the fold.

The Rancher was sweet and sexy. This is my first read into Morgan Ranch series and The Rancher holds it own but I now want to jump back and read the five previous books in this series. It was just what I needed, a fresh, fun and entertaining romance with a strong family core.

Rachel and Cauy are two individuals who were brought up to feel unloved and unwanted. They both dealt with this in different ways. Rachel became a people pleaser. While Cauy left his family home, because his father treated him so bad.

These two broken soul meet up and at first old prejudices born from other people kept them at arms length. However, they find themselves being thrown together time and time again and unbeknownst to them an attractions is building.

I loved the dance these two had. I loved that Rachel was a little more aggressive in her seduction. I loved hat she was owning what she wanted and in this case it was Cauy.

I will say there were times I didn't know if I should hug Cauy or throat punch him. He liked to run hot and cold to Rachel. I completely understood why he felt the way he did but after discussing it with Rachel and she telling him it didn't matter, he still tried to push her away.

I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Rachel's carrier is one that is typically held by a man. Cauy soon realizes that Rachel knows what she is talking about and could be the best in her field.

I highly recommend this book it is funny and some surprising twists and turns.

Loved the story. Rachel and Cauy meet and slowly an attachment is formed between them, but along the way there are miscommunications and hurt feelings that almost destroy their budding relationship. Rachel is the youngest of the Morgan children and only now comes to find a family she never knew existed which is hard to accept at times. Cauy inherits his father’s ranch, much to his surprise because his father treated him badly growing up and at age sixteen he left home and made his own way. Rachel talks constantly and wears her emotions for all to see and Cauy is the exact opposite. He is soft spoken and a man of few words which at times is nit to his advantage. There is a happy ending but they both struggled to get there. The book is well written and at times highly emotional. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and would highly recommend it as a great read. I hate to think this is the last book in this series.

Another hit by Kate Pearce! The family continues to fall in love as Rachel finds herself face to face more times than she'd like with Cauy. It's a nice story about new love, forgiveness, and acceptance.

The Rancher is Book 6 of the Morgan Ranch series. I would have to say this story stands fine on its own but between the backstory which involves Rachel pretty heavily and that all of the characters from the earlier books appear here, I highly recommend reading the others.

Ever since Rachel was "found" in the earlier books, I was so looking forward to her story and Ms. Pearce certainly did not disappoint. Cauy was the perfect match for her. Very enjoyable story.

Based on the hints in this story, it appears a Book 7 will be coming involving Jackson. I can't wait!

I have had a wonderful time reading the Morgans series. Every story was unique in it's own way but still connecting. I can't wait to see what new stories Pearce has in store for us next.

I enjoyed this romance that had a little bit of humour and drama in the storyline. It is book 6 in the series, and there were a few times that I wondered if I had all the info, or if some of it was presented in the previous books, also previous characters are revisited which may be spoiler if you are wishing to go back and read the earlier books. The story kept my interest all the way through, though it was a little slow at times, but it also gave a realistic development of the relationship. The ending was a little rushed and abrupt for my liking. Overall, a good story. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Love this series. The history of this family is unbelievable, but yet they all come together each time. Wonderful story of how family sticks together. Wonderful series.

The Morgan family are welcoming, hard working and if you ever dreamed of where you’d like to belong, their family and home would be top of the list. Ruth continues ruling the roost, but the love and devotion she has for this complicated crew, is unsurpassed.
 
While complications are the norm when finding love and a future, Rachel and Cauy are perfectly suited and their story is told with care and finesse. The Morgan Ranch series is one that readers will never want to end, and I for one can’t wait for more!
