What a fun and silly read! The writing was cute, the artwork was adorable. Finn really enjoyed reading it.
Chadwick likes to play a game of ‘who am I” as he introduces his friends. I like that this book choose animals from a distance location, in this case Chesapeake Bay. So instead of Zebras and elephants, you have herons and osprey. Quite a nice change of pace from standard “who is it” books.
This is a cute lift-the-flap book about animals the live in the Chesapeake Bay. The format of Who Am I?, then clues given allows the reader and child to guess what the creature might be. Opening the flap, then shows the answer with a great picture. If you know the area, this will be a guessing story, if not, it is quite educational about Chesapeake Bay life. The illustrations are really cute, and the text has a good rhythm/rhyme to it. A great story for children aged 4 to 6. A wonderful addition to kindergarten and grade one classes as well as family libraries. Both my grandchildren loved it and wanted me to read it again.
This was cute. My girls liked the animal illustrations. I liked that the names were a bit more creative than your average set of names.

Chadwick & Friends is a sweet sweet book for the youngest "readers,” who will enjoy meeting Chadwick the Crab and his friends who live in the Chesapeake Bay. Endearing illustrations and rhymes and flaps that lift to reveal each character add charm. The book is also designed to help develop hand-eye coordination, small motor skills and language and identification skills. 5/5

I remember Chadwick books from when I was a kid so I was excited to review this one.
It took me a LONG time to figure out how to even view it but once I did, my 5 year old and I enjoyed it immensely.
She loved learning about all the friends and the rhymes make it so fun. Can't wait to get my hands on a hard copy for my 18 month old to enjoy lifting the flaps.
And now I must go find my old Chadwick books and bask in the nostalgia.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced review copy.
Chadwick & Friends by Priscilla Cummings is a sweet little lift-the-flap book and is sure to be about with the little ones. Chadwick gets to know his neighbors as he explores (with the help of the reader) the Chesapeake Bay. Simple concept but this book will be a delight for read aloud time with every flap lifted.
This is such a cute little story come poem. Beautiful illustrations with a feel good message to children. Amazing work.
Cute "Who Am I?" lift-the-flap style book that introduces Chadwick's "friends," a bunch of animals that live in the Chesapeake Bay. The illustrations are really cute, and the text has a good rhythm/rhyme to it. Each page is a "Who Am I?" question/riddle for another type of animal, rather than an actual story.
Very educational! I love how it gives children the opportunity to learn about some animals and creatures they may not know or be familiar with already! The descriptions were creative and great little tidbits that kids can take in and remember!
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a child's guessing book where they learn about different ocean creatures. They are given a clue and must figure out the corresponding animal. The pictures are very bright and appealing. A cute book.
