"Want to know the difference between a legend and a fairy tale? Only one of them ends happily ever after."

Rock Legend, the second installment of the Nothing But Trouble series by Tara Leigh is a great second chance novel about a hot troubled drummer.

"Her energy shuddered through me, flipping a switch I hadn't realized had been locked in the off position until now. Until seeing Piper. Touching Piper. Kissing Piper. Again."

Landon is really something. During his story he shows many facets. The ones you can't help falling in love with and the ones that makes you want to take the hand of the broken boy, telling him everything is going to be ok.
Tara did really well writing and exploring his trouble with substance abuse. It was obvious he always replaced one addiction with another until he realized what really matters most to him and changed directions.

"Nothing worth having comes easy."

Piper is beautiful in her own broken way. In Rock King we got a glimpse of Piper and I already had my biased opinion about her. Lesson learned: Don't judge a book by its cover. She's strong, so strong and I'm really happy that she found in Landon a guy who appreciates her for who she really is and not for her perfection.

"Piper and I were so much alike that we were exact opposites. Mirror images."

Landon and Piper work well together. But I didn't get as much chemistry vibes than I got from Shane and Delaney. Their story was well plotted but to me mostly predictable. The part I loved most was the petting pups center. I truly love this idea and how Tara has woven a personal experience into this book.

"I needed to know him. The rock star and the wounded boy. The loner. The legend. Landon Cox was all of those things. And then some."

I really enjoyed reading Rock Legend, but it couldn't really keep up with my feelings for Rock King.

Rock Legend (book 2 in the series) capturing the joy, struggles, privileges, dreams and pain of being in the limelight. The Rockers in this series are all driven by both their desire for success and the demons they are running from. The women are strong, independent and definitely NOT cookie cutter.

Langdon and Piper's story was at times frustrating, blissful, heartbreaking and beautiful. Both characters are imperfectly perfect.

However, I kind of felt that there were several opportunities where they could have been more proactive in order to get what they wanted.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read and I wanted to read more of the series from here.

I am a big fan of rock romance reads and found that tara Leigh has hit on everything that I enjoy about this romance type of story. The storyline was very intriguing which was beautifully written. I really loved the way that Landon was a bad boy but he still had a caring side which I really loved about him. Piper was such a sweet and strong female character that I really enjoyed reading about. These two character were such a joy to read about and i can't wait tor read more in this series.

This was an intense read. Piper and Landon had a brief history that ended in heartbreak. However, the poor life choices Landon made led to Piper reentering his life, as his babysitter. Landon is truly troubled and influenced by his past, his regrets, and his inability to cope with them. Piper definitely helped heal as much as she could but he had to learn how to do it for himself. While their relationship was a big part of the book, the more important story-line was Landon coming to terms with needing help and sticking to getting that help. Their love faced many trials and at times, I was actually rooting for Piper to give up because I didn’t think Landon was healthy for her or for anyone. However, this was a story of Landon’s perseverance and he does reach a point where he deserves and can be good for Piper. I immensely enjoyed this book because it was challenging and thought-provoking. I can’t wait to read what Tara Leigh writes next!

Get ready for the second book in the Nothing But Trouble series to blow you away!

I loved Landon Cox. He was cocky, sexy and a little bit broken. He is the drummer in the mega popular band Nothing But Trouble. Fame and fortune has given Landon everything he could ever want...except the one thing he left behind.

Piper Hastings was never enough. For her father or for Landon. Piper and Landon met in college and fell hard and fast for one another. For two months they were inseparable. Happy. Then one day, he just disappeared. Six years have passed and she is the assistant to Travis, the manager for Nothing But Trouble. She has watched in the shadows as Landon took everything he wanted. Booze, drugs, women. And she has been successful in her avoidance of him, until now.

When Landon got the deal of a lifetime he chose money and fame over love. Can he prove to Piper he is worthy of her love again the second time around? Or will she decide that their love was in the past.

This book rocked me. I fell in love with these complex characters. The struggles that they both had gone through to fight their way back to their happily-ever-after was gut wrenching. Addiction is a powerful thing, but so is the love and support of your soulmate.

Rock Legend is book two in the Nothing But Trouble series, I didn't quite connect with the characters in Rock King, but I was still very much invested in this series. Once I learned that Landon and Piper's story was one of a second-chance romance, I was totally in and couldn't wait to get my hands on this! I loved every bit of this story, they had a lot to work through and it was still painful to bring all of that back. But it was all worth it!

I was completely engaged with their story from the very beginning, the one thing I love about second chances is going back into the past to see what happened. And then the whole journey to get back to hopefully where they used to be. It took some time for me to come around to Landon, but I knew there was more to his story. And it sure is a painful one, he didn't have an easy past, but he did what he could to make it better. However he has some unfavorable tendencies, he'll grow on you rather quickly.

Rock Legend turned out to be a much more emotional read than I was anticipating, but I really didn't mind it at all. I love emotional romances, let me tell you, I'm all about those feels! I simply devoured this book and Leigh does such an amazing job keeping you hooked on her words.

Bring on Rock Rebel!

Major thanks to Forever Romance and Tara Leigh for the advanced reader's copy!

I really loved this book. I am constantly looking for a good rocker romance, and this book definitely delivered. Piper and Landon's romance was believable due to their history together, and it was hot! I highly recommend this to fans of Kylie Scott's Stage Dive Series.

Rock Legend is the second book in the Nothing But Trouble series by Tara Leigh. I have not read the first book, but think other newcomers will be able to jump into the series as easily as I did.

Most people know Landon as the drummer for Nothing but Trouble. Depending who you ask, he is also a playboy, a loner, the life of the party, a screw-up, or according to my fans, "The Sexiest Rock Star on the Planet." It's a reputation that has been earned behind my drum kit and behind closed doors. No one thought foster kid Landon Cox would become famous. Infamous, maybe. Notorious, probably. But successful? Never. No one except Piper Hastings. But he had to make a choice and picked fame and fortune over Piper, and spent every damn day since pretending there were no regrets. Now fate's dropped Piper back into his life and it could be a second chance. But while he is ready to give her a few great nights, he is not quite sure he can give Piper a future.

Rock Legend is a second chance romance and a redemption romance. Landon drinks too much, parties too much, and makes extra big mistakes. Leaving Piper when offered an opportunity with hs band was his biggest mistake- and neither him or Piper are sure they can ever go back now that they are thrown together. I thought both characters were well written and complex, and I liked some of their interaction. I really like for Landon's issues were handled, never sweeping them under the rug or making them easily solved. He had his demons to face, and he had to make the chose to do so. I thought that was real and emotionally genuine. I liked Piper for the most past, particularly when she is on the job or with others. I do have to admit that I found her to be annoying on occasion, and I often felt that she needed to stick to her guns more in certain situations. While I enjoyed the book as a whole, I was a little let down with her character and she was really the only thing that I I did not consistently enjoy.

Rock Legend is an entertaining and engaging read with plenty of emotion, growth, and action to keep readers turning pages. I will admit that at first glance I thought it was part of a different series, which is why I picked it up.

I didn’t read part 1 of this series, but I was given a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review on NetGalley.

Holy love!!! This story goes on and on and I LOVED it! You will see the past (and let me tell ya, there’s a LOT of it!) and live a thousand different presents all in one. Piper’s relationship with Adam disintegrates in the worst way, and as the story goes on I really start to hate him. I am thankful that Landon is the answer to the situation, even though it’s a rocky road to happy. Also...THAT ENDING! I knew what was happening and it broke my heart. I would not have been forgiving if the ending I had pictured would have come true. Just know, you will be happy if you read this book!

There are so many emotions in this book, and I loved every single one of them! Great read!

I completely and thoroughly enjoyed this story. Piper was a character I could relate to and get behind. I love Landon's character also and found him very redeemable as the rock star who found the love he never thought he deserved. I sometimes get annoyed by every romance almost always ending with a baby, but this one was perfectly written. I really could sympathize with Piper and her thoughts on becoming a parent after having a cold and distant father. The pacing was good with no lags in plot line even with some "pretty prose" of which I actually found really well written instead of extraneous. It's been a bit since I didn't have to skim like crazy through a romance story!

Rock Legend was perfect summertime reading!

This is the second book in the series, and I highly recommend that you read Rock King first, as this will be much the richer for it – also it is a really good read, so why miss out? I loved Shane's story, and Landon's is just as good.

We met both Landon and Piper in Rock King, but little could one expect to get such a rich story from them! Piper was rather Delaney's nemesis from high school, and Landon was the drummer that every groupie had had. Once we learn more about Piper's past, and why Landon deserted her, we rather change our opinion of her and his previous behaviour.

I really enjoyed the premise for this story and think that it works really well as a second chance romance, and most definitely as a rock star one. The uptight Piper and the completely off-the-wall Landon make for an unusual mix, but they quite clearly feel a huge amount for each other. When a foolish act causes an injury which could threaten the band's future, the pair are forced to face their past and consider whether there might be a future. Obviously there are obstacles, some which one might expect and others which are completely off the wall. But they all add to the drama, and the unfolding realisation that life is sometimes more than we bargain for, and that risks can make it all the richer.

I am definitely putting these two books on my reread list and look forward to reading them again soon.

Absolutely amazing! So much pain could be felt as Landon searched for a way to finally be free to live his life. Regrets and his abusive childhood destroyed who he was. He never really shared who he really was but he did with Piper. Having her back in his life will finally heal the pain that threatens to consume him.

“I needed to know him. The rock star and the wounded boy. The loner. The legend.”

How come I had never heard of Tara Leigh before??

Rock Legend was just phenomenal.

This one checked all the boxes for me.
It was sexy, funny and emotional at the same time.
I adored Piper and Landon!

The passion between them can only be described as hot hot hot. Their connection blew me away. I felt it in their kiss , in their interaction, in a nutshell in every single page .
It’s the story of two lost souls who have managed to find each other again after life tore them apart.

“ We’d been all too real. A love story cut short. No happily ever after ending for us”

Now, it’s time for them to decide what do they want.
Can they get the second chance that they deserve?

Landon Landon Landon *Swoon* his character has so many flaws that makes him perfectly imperfect. I love him!

The secondary characters grabbed my interest and I have already 1 clicked Rock King.
Tara Leigh has definitely been added to my 1click list.

THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!!

I really enjoyed reading this book! This series started with a bang and just kept the momentum! Who doesn’t love a second chance romance with a bad boy? I could totally root for these flawed characters!

Piper and Landon have a history. And, it is the kind of history that results in hiding from the other person when you happen to accidentally be in the same room. The kind of break up that hurts because you didn't see it coming and it wasn't handled well.

So, ending up in charge of making sure he recuperates from a drunken idiot moment? Not able to hide your way through that...and, they are forced to talk...and to reconnect.

Their relationship is rocky, but believable. And, the author in this title managed to pull of something that, by now, I thought was impossible. There is an "oops-how did that happen" moment in this book that while I saw coming it wasn't as predictable as usual...so, kudos on that.

I enjoyed this title overall. There were a couple of places where I thought the characters might have overreacted a bit, but not enough to pull me from the story or make me unwilling to invest in them.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

I liked the story overall. Piper was a bit whiny and ignorant sexual wise for her age. I didn't really get the fact that if they were so in love to begin with why did Landon not go to her when he could? He is a strong willed character and that seemed like something he would do. I liked his back story with his foster family. There was a bit more narrative in the book than I prefer and seemed to be a bit repetition in their internal thinking.

Absolutely love this rock n roll group. It kept me interested through the whole story. I couldn't put it down!

This is the second book in this great rock star romance series.

The band is Nothing But Trouble and Landon is the drummer. We met Piper in the first book and found out she was one of the mean girls at Delaney's high school but she's really changed as she matured and the two are now great friends.

Six years ago when she was in college, Piper was very much in love with a guy who made promises but then chose his rock star career over her and didn't ever look back. Now she's working for the band's public relations company and doing everything she can to avoid said guy, Landon. She loves her job and sees no reason it should be a problem because she's totally over him, right? When they do eventually cross paths Landon is shocked to see her. He has missed her like crazy but knows she's better off without him and his bad boy reputation.

But... what would it hurt if it was a one time deal to get her out of his system?

This is a great second-chance rock star romance with some very sad, moving and sexy moments!

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Family. It is all about family.

Landon Cox -- the drummer for Nothing But Trouble. He is living the rock star life, trying to bury his feelings. Feelings about his family, his band and the girl who got away.
Piper Hastings -- PR is a fixer with a 5-year plan that does not include a boyfriend who leaves her for his boyfriend. What better way to get over a break up than a one-night stand with an old flame?

Landon and Piper meet 6 years earlier, when he is a drummer for an up-and-coming band and she is a freshman in college. Their chemistry is instant and and lasts until Landon makes decisions that ultimately involve family, both his found family and the band (his 2nd found family).

Piper has no idea why Landon disappears from her life, but she picks herself up, mends her broken heart, and eventually becomes a PR wizard for the company who manages Landon’s band. The job puts Piper in Landon’s orbit and they reconnect. They must overcome obstacles (a drunken accident in a swimming pool, an ex-boyfriend, family) to reach their HEA. And it is a great HEA. There is a lot of angst, but I was rooting for both of them to succeed.

Along the way, Piper learns the correct way to apply a condom.

Solid friendships and family is what you make it. A solid 4 stars. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
