Piper and Landon had me wrapped around their story so hard, I couldn’t stand from my comfy chair until I finish it. The passion, their chemistry blows me away. Piper tries to avoid the boy who broke her heart. Landon is in chaos and he needs help. When they collide it sets sparks and fire everywhere. The story line is superb and the rock star romance I wanted to read delivered with a bang.

Loved this book! After reading Rock King, I thought I knew what to expect, but this book took me through plenty of emotions. Both Landon and Piper have pasts that weren't easy, but they managed to thrive in spite of it. The chemistry between them is insanely hot, and what I like is that this isn't just a rock star romance, it's a story about rock stars yes, but it's also about learning to not let the past consume you and realize you are both worthy of loving and receiving love unconditionally.

I love this book. Rock Legend is so fantastic. Tara knows just where to suck us in. Right away I felt for Landon and everything that he was and is going through. I couldn't get through this book fast enough just to see how it ended. Landon felt like all his past mistakes and new ones could never been worthy of a man for Piper.
And Piper not wanting to see Landon ever tried for 6 years to get him out of her mind. But things have a way of working out for Piper to actual see Landon again. Whether she wanted to or not. But can she forgive the boy who broke her heart all those years ago? Because Landon isn't that same boy he is now a man who knows who he wants. And he wants Piper back only can he forgive himself and see that he is worthy for her?

We were first introduced to Landon and Piper in Rock King and I was really intrigued by them both so I can't tell you how happy I was to discover they would get their own story. Rock Legend took a hold of my heart and didn't let go. It's really well written and deals a little with alcohol and drug abuse it's a book that has me turning each page in the hopes that Landon and Piper would eventually get their HEA.

Landon and Piper have a history and when they find themselves thrown together the chemistry they once shared is still very much a the forefront but it complicated. Can they work through everything that went wrong years ago, learn to trust each other and get a second chance at love.

A great read that can be read as a complete standalone but I would also recommend reading Rock King too, to get the full effect of the guys from Nothing but Trouble.

I absolutely love this full of angst rockstar romance. The story for me was far better than some that I have read and beings as this is one of my favourite troupes. It's a huge deal. I devoured this book in a couple of days not wanting to put it down at all and waking in the night to reads little more before sleep claimed me again. This book had me hooked from the start.

This forbidden, cat and mouse, second chance romance was so good to read as it played out. In some parts I was shocked by what I read and others it was beautiful. It also was heartbreaking to read that children were treated like that. Piper and Landon were both effect by their childhoods in different ways. It effected them and their relationship but what really effected it was what had occurred when they first fell in love years before the fame and the fortune.

This story has secrets and they are not mine to tell. They are hard to read but you can see why the characters act and behave like they do. This isn't a basic story about a rockstar falling in love. It's not all sunshine and roses. It definitely is a hard road to read but the outcome is all that matters.

This is a huge recommend from me. This is a great read and a fantastic series so far. I can wait to read what happens with the rest of Nothing But Trouble.

Landon Cox has bad boy written all over him and boy oh boy does he know how to work it! When Piper Hastings enters his life again, several years later and after he broke her heart, Landon knows this time he won't let her get away...he intends to make her his forever. Piper Hastings has been in Landon's orbit for years, thanks to her job, but she hasn't ever allowed herself to be alone with Landon because she fears for her heart.
This was a hot but adorable read that I fell in love with!

Landon and Piper have history with each other and that history threw both of them in a tailspin. Piper came out of it stronger but Landon fell into troubles but was able to hide it behind his rocker status. I felt so bad for Piper at times through this book when it came to Landon, but I was super happy he finally pulled his head out of his butt and got himself under control. Enjoyable read that I finished all in one evening.

I am loving this series! In the first book Piper was kind of aloof and distant, but reading her story we can relate to workaholic ways and in the end she worked very hard to be loved. In a way she represents women in all the world, someone has said to us in a long time ago that we have to be perfect in everything to deserve love and we seemed to have believed since it is a great pressure to be a woman... We have to work, take care of our family and be pretty everyday and it is not easy! But I digress and have to say that this book is a great love story with wonderful characters. I loved their connection and how they found love in the end.

My Review: Oww, my heart. You all know I'm a sucker for a second chance romance, and boy is this an emotional one. Landon hurt Piper years ago, and she's spent that time avoiding him. And you know what? I can't blame her, Landon was a jerk of the highest order. But watching these two come back together and combust? Oh yeah, my idea of a good time.

This was an awesome read. I love rock stars, and second chances, and just... all of this. I understood how Piper felt - heck, I felt what Piper felt. This was just... so good. I don't think I have enough words to describe how much I loved this. So I'll just say.. READ IT!

Cover Lovin': I think the lights give the guy's face an almost cartoonish quality, but overall I like this cover.

Recommendation: Can be read as a standalone.

Final Rating: FIVE out of FIVE stars (5/5)!!! Loved this. Couldn't get enough. Get your copy ASAP!

Piper and Landon’s story blew me away from the start! Piper seemed a mess of a woman And Landon was a lost soul! Both needing something only the other could give!

Second chances aren’t always clean cut and are definitely not easy but when a love is soul deep a second chance is all you need to get everything you’ve always needed!

I loved Tara’s message of self acceptance laced writhing the pages of this beautiful story! All to often we get lost trying to become what we feel others want us to be and piper is a perfect example of someone trying to be someone that she isn’t just to please others and it’s not until she truly loves herself and who she has become that the love she needs finds her!

"Fame and fortune. Hollywood Hills and chemically induced thrills."

Wow! I really enjoyed Landon & Piper’s story! Rock Legend is book #2 in the Nothing But Trouble series. It can be read as a stand-alone. Rock God, (book #1) is Shane & Delaney’s story. Rock Legend is a definite building block in the Nothing But Trouble series.

Landon Cox is the ‘legendary’ drummer for the world famous band - Nothing But Trouble. He has the             3 C’s – cocky, cool and confident. Being a drummer allows him to burn through all of his chaotic thoughts. Sex and booze is his alternative coping mechanism, thus earning him his ‘legendary’ status.

"Most people know me as the drummer for Nothing but Trouble. Depending who you ask, I'm also a playboy, a loner, the life of the party, a screw-up, or according to my fans, "The Sexiest Rock Star on the Planet." Apparently, I'm a legend."

Piper Hastings grew up trying to be perfect. We first meet her in Rock God as Delaney’s friend from back home – New York. Piper has many reasons for needing to be perfect. This propelled her to LA for college and then work. Piper is a public relations assistant for one of the hottest talent managers in Hollywood who also represents Nothing But Trouble.

Piper and Landon have history. Six years ago Landon had to choose. His career or Piper. For reasons that are explained (no spoilers) he choose his career. Landon has no idea that Piper works for his talent manager Travis Taggert. Piper has been able to avoid Landon until one night she couldn’t….

After six years, how would Landon taste?

"Like regret, I realized with a sickening thud. Because regret is all that remained of what we once shared."

Talk about a moment! Landon is stunned to see Piper. He thinks about the girl he left behind six years ago…

"Six years ago, I traded Piper’s intimate whispers for center-stage drum solo’s, her dazzling smiles for the anonymous adoration of a million faceless fans."

Piper and Landon take us on an emotional journey filled with second chances, fear, poor self-esteem, insecurities, self-loathing, lust, and mistakes. So many mistakes! In many ways each of them feel as if they are not good enough for the other. While Piper often feels rejected, Landon feels as if he is not enough. They each cope in their own ways.

"Seeing Piper again after all this time was all it took to strip away the elaborate pretense I fooled myself into believing- that I was doing fine without her."

"I wasn’t."

Just when you think things are ok, they’re not. Life happens and many situations occur. In the end, it’s how they handle the situations that will matter. Rock Legend was everything and more! The buildup was steady and the emotions real. Piper and Landon share great chemistry! I knew Landon would be a handful and I was not disappointed! I am enjoying the Nothing But Trouble series. Although each story is a stand-alone, reading Rock God (book #1) helps set the scene. Each one gets better and better!

Looking forward to Dax & Verity’s story in Rock Rebel!

Rock Legend by Tara King is the second book in her Nothing But Trouble Serie. Every book, while connected, can easily be read as a standalone. The previous book, Rock King, tells Shane and Delaney´s story.
Piper Hastings is friends with Delaney since school. She´s a PA to Travis, the bands Nothing But Trouble manager. And nomes est omen, the bands drummer is nothing but trouble.
Landon Cox is the typical rock star, full of himself, uses and abuses alcohol and drugs. Groupies swarm him and he enjoys his lifestyle. But there´s a secret. Piper and Landon share a past and now, 6 years later she tries despeartedly to go out of his way. She hides and he loves the chase. Their chemistry is through the roof high and there´s a lot of ember under the ashes. But a major twist turns everything in a rollercoaster of emotions. Lives are about to change for forever and nothing will be the same.
I loved Rock King and had high expectations for Rock Legend. And what can I say, I was so not disappointed. The writing is great, and I very easily connected with the characters and the story. I loved the writing ,the story and the words and give 4,5 stars. I can´t wait to read the next story in the series, Rock Rebel.

Love, love, loved this rock star, second-chance romance! Tara Leigh hit it out of the park with this one.

This is the first book I have read by author Tara Leigh and it definitely won't be the last. Rock Legend is about Landon, the drummer from the rock band Nothing But Trouble, and PR rep Piper. I was hooked on this story from the first page! Landon is everything you expect a rockstar to be, a complete hot mess. Piper basically becomes his babysitter. Their chemistry is off the charts but there is much they need to overcome to find their HEA. This perfectly developed book gives you a little bit of everything....angst, laughter, tears and some hot sexy times. I throughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

When you read a great first book in a series, you wonder if the sequel will be better or worse. Well, in this case, the second book was just as good as the first one! Great story, great pace and great characters!

The magic of this story is that both characters had met in college and had a strong attraction; for two months they were inseparable. Then Landon Cox had to make a choice: his music or his girl. He needed money, so he chose the music. Six years later, Landon is a manwhore, immersed in a world of drugs and booze and groupies, but he’s lonely in a world of partying. There’s not a day that he doesn’t remember the girl he lost.

Piper has been working for Travis Taggert for three years. Travis is the agent of the Nothing But Trouble band, but she has managed to keep away from Landon for all those years. Even the previous year, when she had been working with Delaney in mitigating Shane’s scandal, she had kept away because she was working exclusively with Delaney. Until one day Delaney decides to give Shane a surprise visit, and Piper takes her to the venue and has a surprise encounter with Landon.

Their chemistry is as hot and electrifying as always, they still feel for each other and succumbed to their attraction. However, Piper is ambitious in her job and cannot socialize with a client. Yet, Landon succeeds in being assigned to Piper’s care. This couple has such strong feelings for each other, and so many obstacles to surpass. Piper is still hurt by Landon’s sudden abandonment without an excuse, and she’s still hurting from her current boyfriend’s cheating. Landon is broken, in the sense that he had a family he lost. They have a lot of comings and goings, a lot of passion and caring is expressed, but the story feels like a star-crossed lovers, where they can’t get a break. There’s a lot of heartbreak and misunderstandings, separations and searching for themselves. The environment they live in is an obstacle, but their friends are a huge support system.

I like the characters that this author portrays. They are broken but strong. Piper comes from a stable home but is unloved by her father, so she has learned to look perfect, make everyone believe she’s fine even though she’s breaking inside. She’s driven and kind. Landon comes from crack addicted parents, suffered abuse, and lost his adopted family through his own actions. He has a strong sense of guilt and of being “nothing but trouble” to any woman. Yet, he volunteers at a dog shelter unanimously and is generous. In spite of their differences, their hearts want each other and they make their way.

Very riveting and fascinating, this story is as addictive as Rock King, very heartfelt, a real page-turner. The pace and the story never lagged!

Rock Legend
Nothing But Trouble series book #2
Release Date: July 17, 2018
Review copy provided by the publisher

I'm blown away. Really fucking blown away! Can I just tell you to buy the book and read it? Because seriously, this book will more than likely end up on my top 5 favourites of 2018.

Tara Leigh is a new to me author. I read the first book in this series, Rock King, and I adored it. But this book has now made Ms. Leigh an auto read for me!

Landon Cox has fame and money. He's the drummer for the wildly popular band, Nothing But Trouble. Despite having the world at his feet, he's not content, and he's far from happy. He numbs his life with booze, drugs, and women...a lot of women. But there's one woman in particular that he's never forgotten and wants back desperately, Piper Hastings.

Man, I loved these two together. I loved the chemistry and push and pull between them. The love scenes lit up the damn pages; seriously smokin' hot!

Piper and Landon both have their share of baggage and drama in their lives. But what drew me in and convinced me they could work past the bad stuff, was their absolute need for each other. It was like they were each other's oxygen. I could feel the love between them...even when they didn't want to admit it!

I appreciated the realness of Landon's rock star lifestyle. The author didn't sugar coat the substance abuse or the journey to recovery.

The writing was beyond stellar. Admittedly, first person POV isn't my favourite, but Tara Leigh's writing pulled me in so much that I didn't even pay attention to that. I loved that you got both of the characters perspectives.

I'm not sure I can do this book justice with my review, but I hope I've convinced you to give this series a go. While this book can be read as a stand alone, do yourself a favour and start with book #1, Rock King. Trust me, you don't want to miss Shane's story. He's cocky and too sexy for his own good!

I loved this book. It had me turning pages faster than I could possibly read. I just had to know if Piper would end up with Landon. It was such a cute love story. I love how Landon describes Piper as the one that he will always regret yet she has been so close to him for 3 years. I mean Piper keeping her identity and involvement with the band away from Landon took a lot of work. Just that build up alone had me wanting them to end up together. I was so happy both Landon and Piper were able to resolve some issues from their families. I love when a story can truly have a happy ending and each character is now living up to the best of their ability. I also loved how there were so many things I didn´t see coming. I mean talk about excellent writing. There were so many things that my jaw just dropped while I was reading. This is my first book from this author but it won´t be my last. I loved her writing style and the way the story just flowed so well. I enjoyed the depth she was able to bring into even the background characters. I mean Delaney and Piper going to the same high school but weren´t friends, but now they are friends because of Nothing But Trouble. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance with twists you didn´t see coming and two people you will instantly fall in love with!

Rock Legend is the second book in the Nothing But Trouble series by Tara Leigh although it can be read as a standalone.

We met Piper and Landon in Rock King, now prepare to fall in love with them in Rock Legend. Six years ago Piper was just a college girl in love with a musician - a musician who would eventually break her heart when he walked away to pursue fame and fortune. Nobody expected Landon to become anything but he proved them all wrong - drummer for the most popular rock band in the world with more money and women throwing themselves at him than he knows what to do with - but he's never forgotten the girl he walked away from six years earlier. The only girl he felt anything close enough to love with.

Even though Piper has worked for the PR company that manages Nothing But Trouble for four years it isn't until after one of their concerts that the inevitable happens and they come face to face.

Landon wants another shot with Piper, if for no other reason but to give him closure. Piper, fresh from a break-up, wants to prove to herself that what she had with Landon was just the romanticism of a young girl and nothing could have been as good as she remembered. But their sizzling connection will prove them wrong. For two people who don't believe they'll ever deserve a happily ever after, they may find the happiness they were always hoping for.

I was afraid going in that I wouldn't love this book as much as Rock King because Piper comes off as kind of snotty at first in Rock King, but I actually really loved her as a character. Landon is your typical rock god with a dark past often depicted in Rock Star Romance but he is perfect for Piper. The yin to her yang, the wild to her calm, the spark to her fire and together they're explosive on the page.

The only thing I found a little unbelievable was that Piper had been working for Travis and closely with Nothing But Trouble for quite a while but they hadn't come face to face before. Seriously? Not once in four years? Piper must have had some luck avoiding him for that long.

Overall, this book is sexy, sweet, and oh-so-addicting, the writing is good, the worldbuilding is believable, and the characters are well developed and well rounded. If you love romances where women fall for cocky, smart-mouthed rock stars you must read this series!

I enjoyed this sexy, entertaining story. It is the first book I have read by Tara Leigh and now I plan on reading the other books in this series. This is the second book in the Nothing but Trouble series and each book is about a different band member in the rock group, Nothing but Trouble. I enjoyed this feel good, second chance romance and I found it easy to like and relate to the characters.

Piper and Landon were in love but one day Landon left without an explanation. Now, six years later, Landon still regrets his decision to leave Piper. When he left, he broke his heart and Pipers.

Piper is now a public relations assistant to one of the hottest talent managers in Hollywood. She is a strong, independent woman and is she is also sweet and alluring. Piper is not happy when she learns her newest assignment is keeping Landon out of trouble. Her boss expects her to stay by Landon’s side and monitor his behavior. Landon is the drummer for the successful rock band Nothing but Trouble and he is a mess. He has demons and he drinks and hooks up with random women to silence the noise in his head.

Even though Landon and Piper are both successful, they have scars from their past that they are afraid to share with anyone. When Landon and Piper are together they help each other heal and become better people.
