Very nice story. I liked the storyline and the characters were well thought out. I really enjoyed reading it.
I wasn't ready for Christmas in July when this was released. Now that it's Christmastime, it's a great read for the season. Hallmark movie in book form.
All I want for Christmas...
4,5 stars
I've read quite a few Christmas themed book in the past weeks already, and I have to say: this is the best one yet! It has a sweet as candy love story, which might be a bit too cute for my liking in some books - but here it fits perfectly well. But most of all this little books spreads Christmas cheer all around and set me in the right mood for the holiday season.
I wish I could be in Evergreen right now, where the whole town is decorated for Christmas. Where even cars have a wreath on the hood. Where they have an open air ice-rink. Where the town square has a gazebo and a wonderful Christmas tree in the front. Where there is lots of snow. Where everyone knows each other. Where they serve holiday themed food at the Kris Cringle Kitchen, and if you look closely you can even spot a guy looking just like Santa on one of the tables. Where you can make a wish on a magical snow globe, and if your heart really really wants it, and maybe even your toes, this wish could come true.
As I said, the love story is sugary with a cherry on top, but it's not cheesy and therefore I didn't roll my eyes once. Also, Nancy Naigle turned the script for the movie of the same name into a beautifully written book. I would like a sequel, please! And watch the movie now.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a fabulous book, especially if your love Christmas and all it's surprises. FANTASTIC characters, descriptions of scenes, and extremely well written! You will feel like you are in Evergreen itself. 📚 Enjoy!!
I received a free copy of this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. This story is based in Evergreen, VT, and they take Christmas seriously, all year round. They are known for their magical snowglobe, which is located at the Chris Kringle Kitchen. People come from all over to hold the magical snowglobe in hopes that their wish will come true. The main character, Allie, is a small town vet and she is moving to Washington, DC, to be closer to her boyfriend, Spencer. Ryan and his daughter Zoe decide to make a stop in Evergreen on their way to the airport to start their Christmas holiday in Florida. This is where Zoe decides to make a wish with the magical snowglobe. Both Allie, Ryan and his daughter end up at the airport waiting for their separate flights out of town, when all flights are canceled due to the snow storm. All hotels around the airport are booked solid and Allie remembers seeing Ryan and Zoe at the Chris Kringle Kitchen and has offered them a ride back to town for a place to stay. This is where the story really begins and where the globe has other plans in its sight for Allie and Ryan. This is truly a quick read and a classic holiday romance book. Sometimes you need to follow what your heart truly wants. I would highly recommend this book to those that enjoy feel good holiday books.
I love Hallmark Christmas movies and what's better than a movie... a book with the story expanded. This is one of the beautiful reasons I love Hallmark. Christmas in Evergreen adds parts the story making it an even better and sweeter tale. I just loved this all the more and you will too.
Evergreen Vermont is a magical place where Christmas is enjoyed year round. Based on a Hallmark movie so you know the story is sweet and wonderful, this book is a happy fun read. Ryan and his daughter, Zoe are stranded at the airport when they run into Allie. With both their flights cancelled she invites them to her hometown of Evergreen. Ever since she shook the magical snow globe on the counter of her parents diner her plans to move to Washington face obstacle after obstacle. Ryan lost his wife last Christmas and is determined to make this a happy Christmas for Zoe. The whole town pitches in to make a Christmas dream come true. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
“Christmas in Evergreen” tells the story of wishes coming true. While Allie Shaw plans to move her home and her veterinary practice from the small town of Evergreen to Washington D.C., other plans seem to be in store for her. A series of unusual events brings her into contact with widower Dr. Ryan Bellamy and his daughter Zoe. The story skillfully weaves their lives into the life of the town of Evergreen, and of course is full of holiday surprises for quite a few people.
This was just a “feel good” story for a traditional Christmas, with a “happily ever after” ending. Perfect for sharing as a family, with a cup of hot cocoa and Christmas cookies.
I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
Delightful Christmas story based on the Hallmark movie.
Wishing upon a snow globe brings Christmas wishes to life in a small town with only one road into the heart of the community. Lives are changed for the better, romance ensues, and a little Christmas magic saves the town's premiere event for the holidays.

A delightful story, a Hallmark Christmas movie turned into a book, what could be better.
A story of small town Vermont, Christmas activities, people who open themselves up, inviting strangers to join in with time family and friends celebrating.
A lovely Christmas read!
I can’t imagine a better feel-good Christmas romance! Very sweet and heart-warming. If you enjoy Hallmark Christmas movies - you will adore this book.
I watched Christmas in Evergreen multiple times in Hallmark but this book blew the movie out of the park! I absolutely love Christmas Hallmark Romance as it brings fun to the holiday and opens your heart. I'd recommend this to anyone! Second Nancy Naigle read and this author is becoming a favorite.
I enjoyed reading this Christmas romance! I enjoyed the characters in this story and found it heartwarming, although it was easy to predict the ending.
What an outstanding way to get into the spirit of Christmas.
Ryan, Allie and Zoe made my day and have me wanting to put up the Christmas tree. Since i'ts not even fall my husband may not be happy about that, but this book brought so much joy and was like sitting in the house on a winter day and watching a feel good Christmas movie.
Amazing story that I'll be reading again and again. I loved Evergreen.
Christmas in Evergreen is yet another endearing novel by Nancy Naigle wrapping love and Christmas spirit in the hearts of two people struggling with decisions and with life. In the town of Evergreen in northern Vermont, Allie Shaw is preparing to change her life and move to Washington, DC. Her maybe again boyfriend, Spencer, lives in DC and is intent on them trying again. Allie is excited to move but torn at leaving the town that she loves so much. Ryan Bellamy lost his wife the year before and he is determined to make this Christmas so much better for his daughter, Zoe. When their plans (and Ella’s) turn south due to weather, both Ryan and Ella get the gift of a Christmas neither one could have seen coming. Cute and sweet story!
Loved this story! It was so sweet! Love happy endings! I want to live in Evergreen and celebrate an old fashioned Christmas!
I loved this book.. I have read this author before and love all of her books. The movie followed the book fairly well. I always love to read the book to see how well the movie follows it.. If you like romance, I high;y recommend this book.
Christmas In Evergreen is a warm and lovely story that occurs right before Christmas. Dr. Allie Shaw loves Christmas and has organized a festival in her hometown of Evergreen, Vermont since she graduated from college. But this year is different. She and her former boyfriend tried a long distance relationship between Evergreen and Washington, DC for a while only to end it. Spencer has convinced Allie to close down her Veterinarian practice and move to DC to give it another try. She is planning to spend the holidays in DC and then move there after Christmas.
Dr. Ryan Bellamy and his daughter are passing through Evergreen on the way to catch a plane at the Burlington airport heading to Florida and a cruise. Ryan's wife died just before Christmas last year and he wants to give Zoe a different experience this year. While in Evergreen they meet Allie when her old pick up truck won't start as they walk by and strike up a conversation. The next day they meet up again at the Burlington airport. When a snowstorm hits the area, all flights are grounded. When there is not a place to stay, Allie invites Ryan and Zoe back to Evergreen where a new inn is opening soon.
Allie, Ryan and Zoe form a friendship in a short amount of time as Allie entertains them and shows them around town, where everything is Christmas-themed. They got to see Allie deliver a calf that arrives early and they then throw their efforts into helping with the Christmas festival. As Allie shows them Evergreen, she realizes that she doesn't want to leave home. When Spencer shows up unexpectedly, Allie sees him as someone different from herself, especially next to Ryan.
This is a sweet story of people going in different directions so there is no way that they can mesh their lives. Right? The Christmas spirit adds a special touch to this heartwarming story especially with a snow globe in Allie's parents' cafe where one can make a wish after shaking the globe. I can see why it has been made into a Hallmark movie. It is easy to imagine.
Thanks to Hallmark Publishing through NetGalley for a complimentary ARC of the book. Thoughts and opinions stated are mine only.
A snowy small town.
A snow globe that grants wishes.
A love that’s meant to be.
Evergreen, Vermont is about to be in the rearview mirror of Allie Shaw’s vintage red pickup truck. It’s hard to say goodbye to her small town and her veterinarian practice, but she’s moving to Washington D.C., where her big-city-loving boyfriend lives.
Ever since Ryan Bellamy’s wife died, he hardly knows how to celebrate Christmas. He’s decided to take his daughter Zoe to Florida, and Evergreen is just a quick stop on the way to the airport. While they’re there, Zoe partakes in a local tradition, making a Christmas wish on the snow globe at the town diner.
But neither Allie’s nor Ryan’s Christmas goes as planned. They’ve checked their wish lists twice, and they didn’t say anything about meeting someone new…or about a fresh chance at love.
As their flights keep getting cancelled due to the weather Allie gets to know Ryan and Zoe. They spend a lot of time together and Allie shows Ryan how Christmas should be and Zoe has the best time . Allie also needs to decide should she move to DC or just stay in Evergreen , where her heart is. I do remember seeing this movie on Hallmark and I think the book and movie are pretty well the same.
What a sweet story. I was hooked by the cover and loved every single page. The characters are now like friends and I hated to leave them as I read the very last page. I received a complimentary copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for this, my honest revire.
