Ryan and his daughter Zoe find happiness again in the small wintery Christmas town of Evergreen. This sweet book reminds us that happiness can be found all around us if we are strong, brave, and willing to open our hearts to it. And sometimes it helps to believe in the simple dreams of wishing on a snowglobe.

Sweet holiday novel and similar to the Hallmark movie of the same name. It felt a little long and drawn out in parts but overall an enjoyable novel.

Allie is a small town veterinarian heading off to Washington, DC to start a new life. Ryan is a single dad heading to Florida for a cruise with his daughter, Zoe. However, after bad weather leads to an airport shutdown, they become trapped in the Christmas-focused town of Evergreen, Vermont. With a little help from a magic snow globe, everyone just might get just what they want for Christmas.

This is an incredibly sweet book, perfect for the holiday season. Nancy Naigle deserves specific praise for her pacing, because each scene is crafted beautifully. She manages to keep the romantic tension high as Allie and Ryan get to know each other through their Christmas adventures. Considering this is an adaptation of a movie, it’s even more impressive.

These characters are fun, the plot is quirky and compelling, and the Christmas charm is is cranked way up. What more could you ask for?

Christmas is my favorite season. I have watched the movie this book was written based on and love the expanded version.

Allie wants to leave for the big city and Ryan wants to get away to escape the memory of his deceased wife. Little did they know that a wish on a snowglobe by his daughter would change everything.

Such a great story!!

Christmas in Evergreen is a magical book. It reminds you of how Christmas truly is the most magical time of year, made for wishes come true. I read this book on the last day of July as a way to have my own "Christmas in July," but this would be the perfect book to read at Christmas time. It's so easy to lose yourself in the small town of Evergreen and relate to the characters. If you're in need of a little Christmas spirit, I highly recommend picking up this book! You won't regret it!

For the Christmas loving community, what I'm about to say might be fighting words, but they're the truth; Christmas in Evergreen is a better Christmas story than some of those in recent memory by Debbie Macomber. I hadn't actually seen the Hallmark Movie Christmas in Evergreen before reading the book, but I enjoyed the story so much that you better believe I tracked the movie down during the network's Christmas in July programming.

The book offers a little more depth to the story than the film. I made the mistake of reading it on a fully booked plane trip and I ugly cried, but in a really cathartic way. Luckily, the woman beside me completely understood and we engaged in an in-depth discussion about the 2017 Hallmark Christmas movie lineup. Cute story, worth the read! Just maybe stick to reading it in the comfort of your own home.

I love having a couple of holiday reads in July and CHRISTMAS IN EVERGREEN fits the bill. I have never read a book by Ms. Naigle before, but she really impressed me with this sweet feel good Christmas tale. Allie is about to leave her hometown of Evergreen to explore her long distance boyfriend in Washington D.C. At the airport, she meets a widower named Ryan who is trying to make Christmas special for his darling little daughter, Zoe. A snowstorm prevents all flights going out, so Allie invites Ryan and Zoe back to her hometown where Evergreen makes its magic. There are engaging secondary characters including Allie's parents who run the Chris Kringle diner, a baby calf, and a man named Nick who looks suspiciously like Santa. There is also a town legends about wishes coming true from a Christmas Snow globe. Do Allie and Ryan get their wishes? You will have to read it to find out.

Allie is leaving Evergreen in Vermont, she is the town's vet but has decided to move to Washington to be with her partner Spencer to try and give their relationship a go, even though she isn't convinced that it will work! Ryan is on his way to Florida with his daughter Zoe to go on a Christmas cruise to try and ease the pain of losing his wife..... but Zoe isn't sure she would rather have a more traditional Christmas. With the snow storm and flight delays neither of them get the Christmas they were expecting..... but is it fate or the magic snow globe that keeps them running into each other!

A lovely Christmas story with plenty of snow and a touch of magic.... fun to read even in the middle of summer!

Christmas in Evergreen i a great Christmas story...
Allie is the town vet. Her boyfriend lives in Washington D C and convinced her to come there for Christmas. They are supposed to go to a very elaborate Christmas party there. She wants to sell her practice and work there.
She is on her way to the airport to go there before the snowstorm.
In her way out of town she meets Ryan and his daughter Zoe. He lost his wife last Christmas and he wants to take Zoe to Florida for Christmas.
There is a magical snow globe involved and things that happen along the way. I really enjoyed this book.

The perfect Christmas in July read. I fell in love with this little town of Evergreen, so friendly and helpful to everyone. From the magic of the snow globe, to making cooking and all of the decorating of the trees makes for the perfect read. Add in the budding romance of Allie and Ryan, and how can you not help but fall in love with Zoe. Hopefully her Christmas wish will come true.

Now I need to go watch the movie. I already have my Hallmark Christmas tree ornament. This story will be on my Christmas reread list for sure.

I enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read a novelization of a movie that I had already seen. I think that many readers will enjoy it. They will perhaps enjoy reading the book first and then watching the film bring it to life. Nancy's writing is easy to read, fun, and charming.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love small town, Christmas stories and this one is no exception. Allie and Ryan have their own, separate ideas of what their futures hold, but the magic of the season has different ideas. Clean romance.

As a self professed Christmas junkie, this book was perfect for keeping me in the holiday spirit all year round. I love Hallmark Christmas movies any time of the year, so I had already seen the movie Christmas in Evergreen. This was a great companion book to the movie, and having already seen the movie definitely made it more real and an easier read. I really enjoyed the short, easy read that was full of Christmas spirit. I definitely feel that those that have already seen the movie may be ambivalent about the book-it is extremely faithful to the movie, so it's not anything new. However, the story is still adorable and I loved re-living it!

Christmas. I love Christmas so when I saw this book I thought yes, it sounds like everything I love about Christmas.
This book is about love, Christmas magic and how the timing may not seem right but it is. Everything happens for a reason.
I do not give spoilers. This book will be perfect on a comfy chair, by the fireplace with your Christmas lights on. I got the pleasure of reading it for Christmas in July.
This very light Christmas read really makes your heart Happy

Allie Shaw is the town Veterinarian who is planning to leave Evergreen, Vermont and moving to Washington DC for a new experience. She also plans to see if her on again/off again relationship with Spencer is something she wants to pursue. The closer the time comes for this move to happen, the more Allie has second thoughts, especially about spending Christmas somewhere else besides Evergreen. As she says good-bye to her parents at the Chris Kringle Kitchen whey own, she gives the magic snow globe a shake. It is said that it will grant the wish if it is truly your heart's desire. As the story progresses, Allie crosses paths several times with widower Ryan Bellamy, a physician, and his young daughter Zoe. There is an unmistakable connection from the start, but as they are both leaving, the unexpected ways that they continue to meet one another is so unpredictable, you do not know where they will end up.

When I requested this novel, I did not realize it was based on a Hallmark movie, but because I love Nancy Naigle's Christmas stories. Even though I had seen the movie last Christmas, I still enjoyed the book. Christmas romance is one of the things I love about the season and this book did not disappoint. The story is full of wonder, magic, friendships, small town delights, children, festivals, Christmas and romance. With each of the main characters making their separate wishes on the snow globe, the mesh of their wishes shows the wisdom of fate and that the heart often understands what one needs well before the mind catches up. The appearance of Nick (St. Nick?) adds some of that whimsy needed in these stories. I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to watching the movie again this Christmas.I rated this book 4.5 stars, but rounded it up to five. I recommend this book to anyone who loves magical Christmas stories, romance or small town stories with happy endings. Hallmark Publishing generously provided me with a copy of this book.

Thanks NetGalley for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Sometimes wishes do come true in very unexpected ways. "Christmas in Evergreen" another installment from Hallmark Publishing based on the TV movie of the same name, doesn't disappoint is an enjoyable, 'get in the mood' holiday tale.

Allie is Evergreen's vet; but she's decided to move to Washington D.C. to start a new chapter in her life. She crosses paths with Ryan & Zoe who are attempting to go to Florida for Christmas. Through a series of mishaps, cancelled flights & snowstorms neither party starts their holiday as planned; but find something even better---their true hearts desire.

I loved the holiday theme to this story; and there is the added twist of make believe or Christmas magic with this one. The local diner has the town's 'famous' Christmas snow globe. The legend is if you make a wish with something your heart truly wants, it will come true. Many wonderful characters, but they are very supporting in nature as none stand out, so the story sticks to the main three most of the time. Allie is wrestling with moving from her hometown, starting a new job & the uncertainty the relationship with her boyfriend. Ryan & Zoe are dealing with the loss of their wife/mother & wanting something to fill a gap they can't quite explain. I particularly enjoyed the self-discovery journey both Allie & Ryan go through. I thought there was a good lesson about not fighting your nature & knowing & accepting what you think you want, to what you truly want.

This book is a fun, quick holiday read. It's an excellent companion to the movie & follows it very closely. I liked the small town atmosphere & could relate to many of the elements of such a community. If you're familiar with the movie, the book has a couple of added bonuses. First is the epilogue which takes place one year after the initial story ends. (The movie doesn't have this). It gives a nice closure to the lives of the characters. Second is a recipe for some homemade sugar cookies. The recipe looks easy & has common ingredients which should appeal to most everyone.

The story is predictable but still a winner in this genre.

The movie, Christmas in Evergreen, is one of my all-time favorite Hallmark Channel movies. So sweet, so utterly charming. Ms. Naigle's book is all that and more. I really appreciated the deeper insight into the characters' reasons and thoughts she provided and loved the feel-good and uplifting ending. Fingers crossed that there will be more of these based-on-the-movie books.
