A sweet love story that makes you believe in the magic of Christmas!

I wasn’t too sure when I started this book since it is based on a Hallmark Holiday movie, one which I did see when it aired last year, but knowing that Nancy Naigle was authoring this book I knew there was a good chance that the book was once again going to be better than the movie…and Nancy Naigle delivered a sweet holiday romance that, while following the movie, was such a wonderful read and, dare I say, not quite as cheesy as the movie itself.

The characters were real, the plot was rich enough to keep me engaged, and as I expected, the writing was truly wonderful. The quirky town of Evergreen, with its tradition steeped in Christmas and its townspeople as colorful as any small town, was a wonderful backdrop to not only a love story, but also to some wonderful small-town community interactions and fun. There was just enough Christmas magic sprinkled in - by way of a magic snow globe and a Santa who’s name just happened to be Nick – to make you believe.

If you love Hallmark Holiday movies or just need a nice, sweet romance that will leave you smiling, this is the perfect book to help you celebrate Christmas in July – or any time of year!

This is a cute Christmas story that got better as the story went along. Allie is a vet in a small town, Evergreen, getting ready to close up shop and move to DC to be with her boyfriend. Spencer. Allie isn’t sure about her relationship with Spencer but thinks moving to DC will help solidify their relationship. Of course, what’s a story without conflict! Enter Ryan and Zoe who are travelling to Florida for a first time Christmas cruise after the death of Zoe’s mom. There’s the inevitable snow storm that strands everyone in Evergreen and gives Allie and Ryan a chance to get to know one another. Zoe, Ryan’s daughter never really wanted to go on a cruise. She wants to spend Christmas somewhere that if really feels like the Christmas’s she knew with her mother. This is a heartwarming story and I found myself really liking Allie and Ryan and cheering for them to finally get together and realize that “there’s no place like home” – if that home is Evergreen. Overall, I found the story enjoyable and if you like Hallmark movies, you’ll probably like this book. There’s a bit too much description for my taste – but the author definitely paints a picture of Evergreen. I’d just like to have seen that done with a bit more “showing” rather than “telling” through paragraphs of description. A good story for the holidays!

I just cant express how much I enjoyed this book. The visit to Evergreen, Vermont was magical. I loved Allie and her vintage red truck. The little hint of magic with the wish granting snow globe. This sweet, heartwarming romance brings all the feels with it. It is well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you believe in the magic of Christmas, then Christmas in a Evergreen Vermont is where you need to go! Allie Shaw has grown up and lived her entire life in Evergreen. Everything she knows and loves is there including her veterinary practice., but she has decided to move to Washington DC to experience something new. Her boyfriend Spencer lives there and is really looking forward to Allie’s move. Ryan Bellamy and his daughter Zoe are going to Florida for Christmas but due to weather issues end up in Evergreen. The weather continually seems to change everyone’s direction and plans for Christmas. There is also a magic snow globe and a man named Nick that figures prominently too.

A wonderful well written story of hope, wishes and love. The characters and town will transport you to place you never want to leave. Nancy Naigle has masterfully written a story that will leave you wanting more and so happy that you took the time to visit Evergreen Vermont.

I love Christmas stories but this is clearly one of my favorites that I know I will read over and over again. Amazing story and characters you can’t help but fall in love with.

Christmas in Evergreen by Nancy Naigle is a rendition of a Hallmark Christmas movie. I saw the movie and then read the book. Loved both. Allie is a veternarion who has lived in Evergreen her whole life and has an active vet practice. Because her boyfriend lives inWashington DC., she decides to uproot her entire life and go live near him. Ryan and his daughter Zoe are driving to the airport to spend Christmas in Florida when they make a quick stop in Evergreen for lunch. What was supposed to be a quick stop soon turns into a magical few days for two reasons – the weather turns bad and they cant get out of town and Zoe wishes on the Christmas globe in the diner. Allie and Ryan meet up and the rest is a wonderful love story with the magical help of the Christmas wish Zoe made to the globe.

This book is another Hallmark Christmas movie turned book. Who doesn’t love those Hallmark Christmas movies? Evergreen, Vermont is a magical Christmas town complete with a real Santa and a magical Snow globe.

Allie is a vet and has been in Evergreen treating her patients forever. She is in the process of packing up her clinic to move to Washington, DC to be with her long distance boyfriend. But she’s having second thoughts, given she has grown up in Evergreen and she knows the town and the people there and loves them all. In DC, she will only know her boyfriend Spencer and he and his high powered friends live a different culture. She is so unsure this is the right move for her!

At the airport, Allie meets widowed father Ryan and his daughter Zoey. Their flight is cancelled from a snowstorm, and Allie comes to their rescue. She brings them back to Evergreen to wait out the storm. Ryan and Zoey had planned to go on a cruise for Christmas, but Zoey really didn’t want to go, and now she wants to stay in Evergreen.

This is a sweet, clean read (Hallmark style), with wonderful characters and a sugar cookie recipe!

Thank you to NetGalley and Nancy Naigle for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review.

Yes it’s Christmas in July and there really doesn’t seem to be a better place to be than Evergreen!!
I was surprised to see this as one of Netgalley’s offerings but the title caught my attention immediately, especially because it’s followed by the subtitle “Based On The Hallmark Channel Original Movie.” I was immediately interested because it’s usually the movie based on the book and not the book on the movie!! It was fantastic! It really does read just like a movie and I am so glad I read this little Christmas gem!
It takes place in the small town of Evergreen where the townspeople take Christmas very seriously and it seems like it may be cheery and jolly all year round!
Allie has lived in Evergreen all her life but though she loves it, she feels like she may need to explore the world to find her place. She decides to start anew in Washington DC. Ryan, a widower and single dad, is trying his best to give Zoe, his daughter, a Christmas like no other! So he books a vacation to Florida followed by a cruise to a tropical paradise. Zoe is not convinced Christmas with palm trees can be a great Christmas.
This trio first meet in Evergreen where Ryan and Zoe stop on the way to the airport for a bite to eat. Allie recommends her family’s diner—Kris Kringle Kitchen. Later at the airport they all bump into each other again after their flights are canceled due to a snowstorm. Eventually they end up in Evergreen waiting out the storm and Allie proceeds to show them just why Evergreen is just the best place to spend Christmas and why the snow globe in her family’s restaurant is so special. In so doing, she learns something important about herself. Ryan begins to see that a tropical Christmas really isn’t the best. Zoe makes a wish on the magical snow globe!

This is not a new author for me but it’s the first small town romance of hers I’ve read. I cannot wait to read this series. Nothing can lighten your burdens more than a joyful Christmas story!!

A special snow globe. Three people that need special love in their lives. Allie, Ryan and Zoe. Each one has plans for what they think will make a special Christmas. As we all do we make plans and then expect God to bless those plans. With a little Christmas magic, a small town and lots of friends Allie, Ryan and Zoe learn what a real Christmas is.

This book is a Hallmark movie-based book so there is no cussing and no sex – it is family friendly and very heartwarming.

If you've seen the movie Christmas In Evergreen, this is a seriously beautiful book adaptation of that story. Nancy Naigle absolutely nailed the charm and the feel-good Christmasy feeling of the movie by adding the kinds of details that make it that much richer while still staying true to the original story. But unlike the movie, the book has an epilogue that is so sweet and so perfect that you'll find yourself grinning as the book comes to an end.

If you haven't seen the movie, Allie is a veterinarian who is planning a move to DC from her tiny hometown of Evergreen. Ryan and Zoe are trying to get somewhere warm and tropical for the holiday when a comedy of errors sends them to Evergreen, the unofficial Christmas capital of Vermont. Zoe is immediately smitten with the town, and Ryan might just become a little smitten with Allie.

This book has everything a reader could want in a heartwarming Christmas story – there is a lot of humor, a ton of heart and emotions, and all of the Christmas-related goodness that make the holiday so great.

This is a feel good holiday romance with a little Santa magic thrown in! I enjoy these type of stories because you always feel happy when they are done. The book tells the story of Allie and Ryan. Both are unsettled in their lives. Allie is about to embark on a move to a new city and new job but is feeling unsure if this is the right choice. Ryan is trying to find a new normal after losing his wife and becoming a single parent. The town of Evergreen is the stereotypical small town. They have a Christmas theme to most everything which is charming. Sit back and enjoy the visit to Evergreen and watch while everyone gets their wish! I received an advance copy for an honest review.

In my life it is never to early to begin planning or thinking about this year’s Christmas celebration. Heck, the only thing I buy on the day after Christmas sales madness are tree lights, because you can never have too many strings of lights around the house. So when I saw a Hallmark Christmas Movie Book being released in July… you can bet your mistletoe I was on that like snowflakes in a snow-globe.

Christmas In Evergreen takes a fun, romantic and Christmas-y look at the priorities in life, the changes we make not for ourselves but because it seems the right thing to do at the moment. Allie is leaving her small home town and heading to the big city to be with her on again – off again boyfriend… mainly because he’s big city all the way. It seemed the right decision at the time, but now as that date comes closer and the reality is truly setting in Allie is no longer quite so certain. Add into the mix a sweet, lovable little girl, her handsome widowed father and one legendary magical snow-globe and you can never tell what fate will have in store.

Ryan and his daughter, Zoe are headed to Florida for a cruise that neither one really wants but… without his wife in their lives Ryan doesn’t really know how to celebrate Christmas anymore. It seemed like Zoe was up for the cruise but… she’s just putting up a front for her father. A quick side trip to the small town of Evergreen is an eye opener in many ways. And once Zoe makes a wish on the town’s famous snow-globe, well, things begin to fall into place in an unusual fashion. Discovering Allie was probably the best part of it all, but can three people snowed in and kept from their original plans find a small romantic, family oriented Christmas miracle of their own?

I loved this Christmas Romance so much. Ryan and Allie fit perfectly although it may take a little bit of time for them to figure that out for the long term. Zoe is adorable and often steals the scenes she’s in. She just wants her dad to be happy again, and Allie certainly does make him happy. If you adore anything Christmas, love to get lost in a Holiday romance at any time of the year… and believe you can never have enough Christmas tree lights then you’ll love Christmas In Evergreen. It’s a lighthearted, fun romance with some very special touches. I completely enjoyed my time in this world and wish I could go back for another visit soon.

I love Christmas stories. I love small towns and families that get along. This story has a single father trying to do the best he can for his daughter. Hmmm, maybe he should have asked her what her wishes were. Speaking of wishes, I wish I could make a wish with the magic snow globe. Have you ever just picked up and moved somewhere new and basically started over? Do you think Allie was making the right choices? I loved this story and the characters in it. What a fun place Evergreen is, especially at Christmas! If you have read any Nancy Naigle books, you should check them out.
I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is mine.

You cannot go wrong with a Hallmark Publishing book especially a Christmas book. You will find yourself full of smiles and happiness. Currently this is probably my second favorite Christmas book/movie from Hallmark (the first being Journey Back to Christmas).

Allie is leaving Evergreen, VT, her hometown, to try and make her relationship with her boyfriend in Washington, DC. When it comes time to leave to spend Christmas with him in DC anything and everything that can go wrong does. In the process of trying to leave she meets Ryan and Zoe, a father and daughter on their way to Florida to spend Christmas. Sparks are flying. Is it just the Christmas spirit or something more?

A clean romance with no foul language and no steamy sex scenes ( a chaste kiss or two). I would feel very comfortable giving this to a 13 year old reader who is wanting to move up to grown up books.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Hallmark Publishing through NetGalley. Any and all opinions expressed above are entirely my own.

This is a wonderful touch of Christmas in July. If you are as crazy for those Hallmark Holiday movies as I am, you are going to love this book!

The town of Evergreen, VT takes Christmas very seriously. Allie Shaw grew up in Evergreen and she is going to miss the crazy little town but it's time for her to make the move to DC to give her relationship a real chance. Isn't it?? After losing his wife a year ago Ryan Bellamy is determined to make this Christmas special for his little girl Zoe and he's certain that a trip to Florida is the way to do that. Zoe has different ideas. When a side trip to Evergreen on their way to the airport turns into a several days stay and if Zoe gets her wish they will never leave!

Put this on the must read list. I highly recommend it.

I freely admit, I downloaded Nancy Naigle’s latest, Christmas in Evergreen purely for the cover. I love, love that red truck. I also, loved, loved the Hallmark movie last Christmas. Naigle easily captures the fun, warmhearted feeling of the movie within the pages of the novel. Who says the books and the movies can’t be better?

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Christmas in Evergreen is a delightful and enjoyable Christmas story by Nancy Naigle, the queen of holiday stories. Reading this book gives you a taste of Christmas in July. This is a book based on a Hallmark Holiday Movie by the same name.
We have the heroine, Allie, a veterinarian, leaving her home town of Evergreen, the town that loves Christmas, for a new job closer to her long distance, her on again, off again boyfriend. The closer the time comes for her to move, the more Allie second guesses her decision, at least subconsciously, delaying her trip.
The hero is a single day who only wants his daughter to have a very merry Christmas. After losing his wife and Zoe losing her mother, physician Ryan plans on staying as far away from the snow and memories. Therefore, he planned for them to go on a cruise in Florida. However, when a snow storm grounds their plane they make a small detour to Evergreen which turns into an extended stay and Ryan and Zoe are bombarded with the Christmas spirit along with a lovely lady to go with it.
From the first time these three meet there is an unmistakable connection. While Ryan and Zoe are temporarily in Evergreen, the magic of the town and people greatly affects them. Each one these three separately make wishes on a magical snow globe, the connection of their wishes demonstrates how fate and the heart often understand and know what one needs well before they realize.
Ms. Naigle wrote a wonderfully heartwarming story that reflects the magic of Christmas and finding love. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend this book to other readers.

Christmas in Evergreen is based on the Hallmark Channel movie, and the text in the book reads more like a script than novel. The descriptions are vivid but feel really choppy. There’s solid dialogue but I’m not surprised since this story was a movie first. If one can get past the choppiness of the text, it can be an enjoyable, easy read.
The storyline is cute, a typical feel-good Hallmark presentation, with a happy ending.
The story centres around the small Vermont town of Evergreen in the days leading up to Christmas. The town veterinarian, Allie Shaw, is closing up shop to move to D.C. to be with her boyfriend. Widower and daughter, Ryan and Zoe, are traveling from visiting family to the airport to catch a flight to Florida for the holidays. A snowstorm matches the three travellers together and the rest is Christmas magic that unfolds.
The characters are loveable and there’s quite a bit of satisfaction that happens for the reader in the end. You can’t help but want Allie and Ryan to end up together.

A typical Hallmark Christmas movie. Sweet, charming, adorable, happy ending, etc. This one did go on a little bit beyond the usual end of the movie kiss. My husband and I always laugh when the couple starring in the Hallmark movie of the moment kiss and say "the end of the movie." Loved reading about all the snow when it is over 100 degrees outside. I don't celebrate Christmas, but I still enjoyed the story.
