As I've learned to expect, a beautifully written and fun read. Adrienne writes wonderfully believable stories with flawed but truly good heroes and heroines

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is apart of the shifter war series. I have not read them all but was able to follow this story. I have to say I was disappointed. The story was long and drawn out. The big fight they had for the land was kind of ridiculous. It made such a big deal about a small thing. Just did not like this one.

Former enemies align, but is it too late to protect everyone they’ve come to love?
Lara has always relished being a thorn in Mason’s paw. When she was chosen as pride Enforcer, it was easier than ever to get under the passionate shifter’s skin. But with the scent of humans in the air comes a threat she’s powerless to battle alone. It’s time Lara unites with the one man she needs, the one man she’s secretly drawn to…as if by fate. If there’s one thing Mason hates more than relinquishing control to a female, it’s the attraction he feels for the fiery lioness. Joining forces with Lara against an insidious enemy only makes their primal bond hotter—and the two of them stronger. Now it’s up to them, side by side, to bring together three warring shifter clans, win the final fight and save Deep Creek.
This was an alright book. I hadn’t read any of the other books in the series but that didn’t seem to make a difference with moving the story forward. I really liked Mason but found I had a problem with Lara. I did like the overall story though. I look forward to trying more from this author.

In the paranormal world I love when the mates come together with this one being in that category with more to it than that. Mason and Lara are in the lead with this one but they are also having to team up to fight on a different level which makes for intriguing reading. The only sad thing is that this was a ending but enjoyed the whole series. They did have a charisma that pulled them through alot. There was a mystery to be investigated they pulled it through and got us through the story with a bit of steam to help along the way.

A fast paced and hard to put down culmination of the series. Our heroine is strong, independent, and fierce. I absolutely loved her. I loved the chemistry and tension between her and Mason. The build up of their relationship gave me all the feels. The stakes were high, the tensions even higher, and the book more than delivered.
A must read for any paranormal romance fan.

This is a nice novel with strong characters. Both the heroine and the hero had very realistic connections to nature and the human threat of civilization. Very different take on the shifter genre. Enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Claiming his lioness is the fourth book in the shifter wars series. It can be read as stand-alone which is a good thing considering that I have read only book 1. It was easy to get into this world an I think I might stay there for a while. I want to see the wars ending and the shifters living all together as one. In this book that's starting (slowly) to happen and I look forward to seeing wolves, bears and lions working together once more. I liked the Shoshannah and Tawodi parts even if I didn't understand them completely. I also liked Mason and Lara. Lara is not acting like the usual pack member and she doesn't follow Mason's rules which leads them into some interesting situations.

I liked the book and I had no problem finishing it. The pace was good, but maybe a little slow in some parts. The characters were mostly good and I liked them.

Cardboard characterization and an overabundance of telling instead of showing bogs down this paranormal thriller.

Mason may well be the leader of the Pride but Lara gives him a run for his money. As the pride's enforcer she is a very strong lioness with secrets. Quite a few twist in this one. The ending was just beautiful.

MY REVIEW:

4.5 Feathers

With Claiming His Lioness, Adrienne has once more written a story with characters who live not only on page, but in the woods not too far away.

As always, the trick is going to be giving a review without spoilers. Also as usual, it is extremely difficult. With the Lions and Bears still accepting a fragile peace, due in part from Alicia and Marco's story in Taming the Lion, Mason, Marco's twin and leader of the Lion's worries he can live up to the expectations of his father. Lara, the Lion's enforcer, has her own issues.

Adrienne has a unique way of challenging her characters to be better than they believe they can be as individuals and as a couple. When the two finally get together, wow! Can we say HOT! Hot isn't just what her characters need though, they need romance and connection. Two additional things Adrienne brings to the table in spades.

This is a #OneClick book for sure!

I have only read one previous book in this series, but was able to jump in here to the drama that these shifters are in now without any issues. This book had shapeshifters, evil human plots, environmental groups, and mystical seers galore!

Mason and Lara have been sniping at each other since Mason took over leadership (reluctantly) from his recently deceased father. He rules with his twin, which is probably his saving grace. Lara, the pride’s enforcer, is constantly bucking at the rules Mason puts on her. His chauvinistic attitudes only make her job harder. Determined to prove herself deserving of her position, she stumbles upon a plot to run an oil pipeline directly through their Deep Creek sanctuary. The ramifications could be catastrophic, so the entire pack (and all the shapeshifter clans) must work together to get them out.

There were a few elements of this story that overlapped. First, there’s the stubborn fighting/romance between Mason and Lara. These two are obviously destined to be together, but they are fighting tooth and nail. The fated mate aspect is just as sudden and abrupt as usual, but a nice relief from the fighting. Second, there is the evil human corporation that is lurking in the background. When Lara is captured by these hunters, there is a surprise shifter in the mix with maybe even more secrets than Lara herself. Lastly, we get to see the mystical inner workings of the magical cave. That all ends up rolling together to bring some unity to the packs. While this book was a little light on romance, it was nice to see where all the characters are in their lives and get a taste for all the different packs (even if I am just an evil human).

This is a paranormal romance and the concluding story in the Shifter Wars series, but it still works well as a standalone IMHO. Whilst the shifter wars have ended, leaving an uneasy peace between the clans, humans are encroaching into Deep Creek, threatening their home, their secret and their very existence. Can the shifter clans learn to work together to protect themselves and their futures?

This is a story of changes in roles, secrets, a common enemy and spiritual guidance. I found it an enthralling read and it is packed with drama and suspense as well as some surprising revelations, too. Humans are planning to run an oil pipeline through the national park, where the shifters secretly roam, and also hoping to kill any large predator that might be a threat to their workers. Can Mason and Lara put aside their differences to work together to unify all the shifter clans and overturn the plans and protect their homes and lifestyle?

Hiding personal attraction, worrying about rejection, keeping secrets and so much more have important roles to play in this suspense filled paranormal romance. It is an engaging read and an action packed page turner that I thoroughly enjoyed escaping into.

I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

The fourth and final book in the Shifters Wars is a little bit sassy, with strong, compelling characters that easily pull readers into their thrilling story. Lara and Mason’s relationship is a bit rocky to say the least with all the attitude flying about and their need of a referee, also both are quite stubborn but the chemistry is undeniable and it’s not until a secret is revealed that they realize why the spark fly in every direction. The relationship is has quite a bit of emotional turmoil and snarky dialogue along with sizzling chemistry but the happily ever after part of this romance is in question for quite a bit of the page turning events that happen during this steady paced and smooth flowing plot.

Intrigue and anticipation build throughout the story as the shifters try to discover just what the humans are what up to and just what they should do about it when they discover that they could destroy not only their home but have plans for the shifters themselves. There are quite a few surprising twists to ensure that readers are kept on their toes and a there are few unique elements in this shifter world as well.

I was completely caught up in the story and found myself wishing that I had read the previous books in this series, now don’t get me wrong the story was quite enjoyable on its but I think I would have had better understanding of the problems that the shifters had faced in the previous story and how they reached this tenuous peace between them, so for me personally I recommend reading the books in sequence as I intend to do soon.

Book 4 of the Shifter Wars series has a fast-moving plot with the antagonism between Mason and Lara keeping it lively. This back and forth combative dialog at times made me a tad crazy because I kept wanting to sit them down and talk to them about getting along.

Mason was an Alpha but most times I felt like Lara was more Alpha than him. It is obvious to this reader that one should not prejudge the characters because by the end of the book the what fors and whys to their behavior are answered in a believable manner.

Lara for me was a female character that I would have problems with in real life because I felt she had a chip on her shoulder and her manner of doing things felt self-involved. Later in the book I appreciated her take charge attitude and her softening of character continued to show a female leader I would admire.

This is an entertaining read and I recommend it to readers who enjoy paranormal romance. I rate this 3.75 STARS.

The final installment to Kerry Adrienne’s Paranormal Romance series, Shifter Wars, has finally arrived. Claiming His Lioness, the shifter world must band together to fight a common enemy…. humans. When an oil company decides to run pipes through the wild of Deep Creek, it would be up to the three waring shifter clans to stop this from happening before the humans find out that shifters are not just a thing of myth.
Claiming His Lioness, a fast-paced and exciting climax to this fantastic series. In the first two books of this series, Waking the Bear and pursuing the Bear, the lion was represented as being the enemy of the piece. That could be further than the truth and with Lara and Mason story, you will see why.
In my opinion, Claiming His Lioness was the best book in this series. Fans of PNR will totally enjoy this book

The fight with the humans ramps up. Intolerance and hatred are felt by more than just the shifters. Mason and Lara join forces to save their town, themselves and their way of life. But feelings are difficult to overcome and pride has it's own agenda. Will they be able to work together long enough for emotions to grow?

If ever there was an oil and water relationship this appears to be one.

Mason is Alpha, ruling the pride with his brother Marco. Still recovering from the latest battle for the cave, a new threat has arisen. A pipeline through the protected lands all the shifters live around. Somehow it had gotten approval without anyone knowing it was happening.

Everyone must work together to stop this, the Bears, the Wolves and the Lions. Not an easy feat. But Shoshanna has declared Lara and Mason are the key to everything.

Lana has a secret that she is sure will turn Mason and the pride against her even as they realize they are mates.

Full of suspense, love and sizzle, this is a page-turner you won't want to miss.

Claiming His Lioness by Kerry Adrienne is book Four in the Shifter Wars Series. This is the story of Lara and Mason. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Lara and Mason butt heads and try to set the other one off. But now they need to come together to work to save Deep Creek. This leads them to bring their feelings out that they have been keeping at bay.
Overall enjoyed their story and I will look for more books by this author.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin/Carina Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series that I have not read. I really wanted to like this book but I had to force myself to finish it. I skimmed all the sections about Shoshannah and Tawodi. I am sure that there are many that will love this book but it was not for me. I found Lara obnoxious-she eavesdrop and goes out on her own without thinking of the consequences. It is a little slow in places but it does have a HEA. I rate it a 3.

Fast-paced and exciting. The sparks are definitely there for Lara and Mason and I think they are good together. I enjoyed seeing everyone cone together to stand against a new enemy (humans) to protect their land/territory.
A very satisfying conclusion to this series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias.
