He Loves You Not by Tara Brown
This book is confusing. The cover screams new adult/adult, but the story itself screams YA. Unfortunately, I really didn't connect with this story or the characters. And honestly, it's probably due to my mistake because I saw the author's name and the cover and requested the title without really paying attention to the blurb. The characters are so immature and shallow, pretty much only talking about superficial things. I've seen many reviews compare this book to an episode of Gossip Girl and I couldn't agree more. And wooooow it is long. I skimmed for the second half or so to try and give the book a chance, but it's just not for me at all.

He Loves You Not by Tara Brown started off slowly for me, but once it got going, I couldn’t put it down. The characters were all well developed, and overall this was a light, fun, heartfelt, and highly entertaining read. Recommend!

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

As I've learned to expect, a beautifully written and fun read. Brown writes wonderfully believable stories with flawed but truly good heroes and heroine

I loved this one! It was so swoon worthy and romantic! I can't recommend this one enough to people! It makes me want to read more from the author

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it though it's definitely longer than it needed to be. Lacey is a middle class girl trying to keep up with her rich friends. I found the first half (or nearly half) really slow and I kept waiting for the story to pick up. The last half was good, if rushed in some areas. I like the scandals and socialites, they made for fun reading.
It's about a 3.5 star read. I'll probably check out more from this author.

I'm 20% in and gave up. The characters are not interesting. I have no desire to find out what happens to them. Also I hate the name Jordie. I am not a fan of the writing either. It seems to be going nowhere and I have way too many other books to read to commit to this one.

I have to say I didn't finish the book.
But I'll rate it anyway. Not because I want the average rating to drop or because I want my percentage on NetGalley to get higher but because I think you deserve to know why this book just didn't work out for me.
It's really important for me to enjoy the book, to read because the writing or the story got me hooked. And it needs to happen soon in the story, not too soon of course but not too late too. Because I really don't like to wait for the story to get interesting.
The blurb of this book was something I'd usually consider reading. But it lacked in the plot. First 30 % of the story is really boring. At first, I thought, yeah, okay, let's read about how rich people live but then I was just done. I DNF-ed at 38 % because the book looked like a terrible episode of Gossip Girl if one existed. It was all about rich people, how the heroine and her rich friend got manicures and massages and went to parties, gotten drunk... Probably 2 % or less were about Lacey and Jordan actually having a conversation. Even that was not really interesting. I wanted to read about them not how Lacey thinks her best friend is spoiled. (Don't even let me start about their friendship, I really couldn't connect with Lacey and I think she's too judgmental)

Didn't read the first book and was concerned I'd be a little bit lost with this story, but not the case. I liked this book because it's a trope that's starting to gain some traction in the romance genre, but there aren't an overabundance of "honey trap" stories yet. The character development was done well, sometimes their actions were predictable, and sometimes they were frustrating, but I still enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to see how everything would turn out.

This was one of those books that i was kind of concerned about reading as i had missed the first book in the series. But what a great book it was. While at times the characters could be slightly predictable - the story line was fresh and new and not the same stuff seen in romance books times and time again. The characters were both at times lovable and at other times you ended up disliking them in the ultimate love hate relationship - but considering i demolished this book in less than 4 hours...i think that tells you everything you need to know.

I did not enjoy the first book in the series and although I gave it a try ultimately I had the same issues with this book.

I reall loved this story and the characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an Reader Copy of this book which I received through
Netgalley.

That I’m a fan of Tara Brown there is no doubt, but I have to say I LOVE what she’s doing with the Serendipity series!
They’re different than your usual NA books, they have a really good story and plotline behind the romance, they’re well written and funny as hell.
Also, they are VERY ACTUAL and, because of that, it’s so easy to relate to the story and connect with the characters. They deal with subjects that are more than trendy, they’re what we’re leaving at this time and age. And Tara captures that perfectly!
When it comes to the characters, I felt more connected to them than I did to the ones from the first book. I love them and their banter. Both the main and the secondary ones.
Tara’s sense of humor is ON POINT and I caught myself laughing out loud while reading the book. It’s so smart and funny!!!
I definitely recommend this read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!

Easy and enjoyable read that will make you smile and also think about certain topics that the story evokes, the same ones that gave depth to the story and provoked strong reactions in you while reading.

This book is a hoot and a good book to read. This book kept me laughing and shaking my head at the same time. It was a fun read with plenty of drama and lots of steam. I was hooked from beginning to end.

I couldn't put this down and I didn't want to! He Loves You Not was told from dual prospectives of Lacie and Jamie. During one Summer vacation before the final year of collage. Lacie starts her own business testing the faithfulness of boyfriends around New York... Jordan happens to be one of those boyfriends.... the problem.... she falls in love.
Tara Brown does a great job of writing from both perspectives and made me fall in love with not only her main characters but her side characters. I was in love with Jordan and cheering him on. I was embarrassed for Lacie and cheering on different relationships along the way. I wanted to know who was going to get busted and was good. Would Lacie get caught in her deceptions?
This was the first book I read from Tara book I had read and was pleased to find that she had already published many others and I can not wait to read more by her!
Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the early e-ARC in exchange for my honest review and opinions.

I don't usually like young adult romances but this was unexpectedly enjoyable. The characters (especially the female MC) had a certain maturity to them with loads of character development as you go through the story.
It offered more than the regular cute and cliche young adult issues and a HEA. would recommend this one.

This was a cute story but it didn't feel very original. The idea was unique but the overall plot arc felt very generic.

I understand the world that Tara Brown is creating and the vibe is very "Gossip Girl" but I just can't get past the fact that I find so many of her characters unlikable. I wanted to enjoy this book and was drawn in by the blurb but it was hard to get into the plot when I just couldn't emotionally connect to any of the characters.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and feelings are my own.

He Loves You Not ended up being a did not finish for me.
I liked the idea of this story, but I found it too slow, too drawn out.
