Double Down is the second part of the All In Duet series and continues on from where the previous book ends. Bell and Dario wants to be together but it is at high risk efor them both. They have to be careful and they pay for their wants.

Double Down is very fast paced and has drama, danger and passion in it. I like the twists and turns. The ending was not what I expected. I would at some places wanted more depth to the story but I liked it anyway because of the mix of romance, passion, chemistry and steamy scenes.
Story flows well of the pages and is rather captivating at times. I enjoyed this read.

When I saw the first book on NetGalley I had to request it, obviously, and I was really happy when they approved me. I started it right away and let me tell you that I devoured it. I was hooked up from the first line and it didn’t let me go until I reached the end. And I loved it for this. So, once I finished it I needed the second one, I seriously needed it, like physically needed to know how the story would end, so, obviously again, I requested the second book and you know what? They approved me for that one, too! I did a really long happy dance, downloaded it and devoured it. Again. Yep, they are that good.

The story is intriguing, captivating and fast-paced. And even if these books are really fast reading, we can find a lot in these pages: friendship, love, hardship, hurt, adventure, happiness, and steaminess (is this even a word?) all wrapped up in the shining nocturnal world of Las Vegas. But the really great things about this books are the characters and their relationship, not just the romantic ones, but all of the different relationships that we can find in them. For example, I really loved the relationship between Bell and her parents, even if there is a lot of baggage here, and I loved the relationship between Bell, again, and Rick and Lance, her work’s bosses.
And Bell and Dario are quite unique. I loved them both, Bell because she’s real, and she’s a strong-minded young woman. She hadn’t had an easy life, but she managed to create a new life for herself. It’s true, it’s not perfect and she has some issues, but she’s doing great and she stays true to herself from the start to the end of the story, and it’s a thing that I really appreciated.
And then we have Dario… oh my! Sexy, mind-blowing Mister Dario Capece. The big man in Las Vegas who seems like he can’t keep away from his obsession. Again, Oh My!
He’s an alpha-man, so if you’re not in the mood for them, maybe you should skip this reading. But let me tell you, that I am not a big fan of them, to be honest. I like a bit of “alpha” yes, but I am not a big fan when they start to think like big troglodytes and I don’t close an eye on them. Some of them are criminal in the way they treat women and I am not so prone to ignore the fact, but I am happy, really happy, to say to you that this is not the case. He’s an alpha male and he has some stalker moments, yes, but it’s not the troglodyte type, yay! He’s also a correct person, he tries to do his best for every person dear to him, and I appreciated it a lot. He’s also passional and sexy as hell. Sorry, not sorry!

Also, here we have a “love at first sight” trope, and again I am not a big fan of this trope, but I liked it and it didn’t irk me during the reading. So yay again!

Anyway, Torre’s characters are all unique, some of them are quite borderline or outright psycho, some of them are wonderful human being, but all of them are well developed and amazing. I loved these books, both of them, and I devoured them both because they hooked me up from the start and didn’t let me go.

I was so nervous to start this book. I was afraid of was going to happen after the ending of book one. Double Down didn’t disappoint, its full of twists.

The chemistry between Dario and Bell is still amazing. They are fighting for their happy ever after. This book was fast paced and very suspenseful. I enjoyed this duet and the intense roller coaster ride it took me on. If you are looking for a fast paced dark and twisty romance story this is for you.

And as I predicted, I couldn’t get into this second book. I had trouble with the first book, liking the characters. The insta-love wasn’t for me and seeing as it went on in this book with lots of trouble and drama on top, I just can’t say I enjoyed it.
If you want to read the conclusion, go for it, but only if enjoyed the first book.

I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

This thrilling story arrive fast enough in order to discover what direction the author took after the mother load of cliffhangers at the end of Even Money.
The much anticipated conclusion is here, or is it?Scorching hot, intriguing storyline and an easy to follow story. BUT, you cannot even understand this story without reading Even Money first.
The story picks up right where book 1 ends.
This installment was captivating, full of danger, mystery, and swoonworthy romance.
Fun, exciting and just a fun read!!
The chemistry and banter between Bell and Dario, was intense, seductive and combustible. Their bond was undeniable even if the odds were stacked against them. But what’s in store for them?
Even the secondary characters were just as combustible and perfectly developed.
After the climactic scene and what led to it, I had a lot of questions as to what led to that particular scene!
Nonetheless, it was the characters’ and their words that had me thoroughly enjoying this read from beginning to end.
However, I felt that there was not enough back story about what led to certain situations that unfolded. In fact, there were certain pivotal scenes in the story that posed questions that were never answered or clarified.
In fact, there were elements of the story that felt rushed, and we never learn the disposition of one of the villains in this read.
This led me to suspect is there another book in the forecast?
I’m more than ok with that!

Because that ass had it coming, and crazy comes in all packages. Talk about a fucked up Stockholm syndrome with a twist. The way in which our characters protectiveness of each other almost gets in the way is fab and it kept me hooked until the last minute. What they are willing to do for each other is only crazy if you don’t understand that their love is at a cellular level. Way to keep us hooked Alessandra!

I was dying for this book after the cliffhanger at the end of Even Money. I needed to what happened, and all the secrets and mysteries this events created. Double down surely kept me riveted to the pages of this suspense filled romance.

Lord, how I love Dario. The dirty mouth, the protective streak. Everything about him hits all the characteristics I love in my heroes. Belle was a bit flat for me in this book. I liked her. She is a fighter and unwilling to give up in what and who she wants, but I would have liked to know her a bit more.

The two of them in the bedroom are FIRE! I loved it, and I felt the chemistry, maybe not as intense but still there, outside of the bed. I felt that their love is authentic, and their emotions for one another read as believable.

A lot happens in this story, so much that I felt like so parts might have been glossed over a bit; however, I was captivated with the story she gave. I didn’t want to stop reading. I did enjoy the ending of the book, but there were some unanswered questions that I wish I would have had.

Alessandra Torre always delivers steamy reads, but this was my first suspense romance from her and I’ll be back for more.

This author slayed me with that Even Money ending! She gave an epic follow up with Double Down. The book was full of suspense and hot romance. A readers dream! Bell and Dario are two characters I absolutely loved. I can't wait to read more by this author!

The book begins right where we left off. Gwen is dead, Claudia thinks she killed Brie and our two main characters are trying to get through the mess and find out who and why would want Brie dead. The story is mostly focused on Brie who is running away from her killer and her man who is trying to avenge Gwen’s death and make sure that Brie is going to be safe so he and Brie could be together.
The book has a lot more action than the first did and it focuses on the good parts of the romance. I am not happy with the end because I still feel like the main characters are in danger and someone could be out to get them. Claudia’s point of view is scary and her last part made me think she is crazy and a very dangerous woman.

This is book 2 in this duet and I highly advise you to read book 1 Even Money before you start this one as it picks up straight were it left off.

This book took me on quite the ride, there were so many gripping and fantastic twists and turns. You will be kept on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.

Dario and Bell have to go through so much to get their happy ending. Their love is beautiful to watch, its powerful and feeds each other strength.

I am hoping there will be more to come from this series as there is a door left open giving me hope.

This book is a worthy book to close out this duet. The danger, the fear of things going completely wrong is what drives this book to its conclusion.

The hawk is hunting his prey and honestly for a while, I was not sure if this book would get the happy ending that I wanted for Dario and Bell especially after the ending of book one.

Claudia, the creepy character made my skin crawl, it was so sinister and mysterious and honestly it made me keep reading. It’s worth the read.

I like how this story has no rules, it just is what it is. Worth the read!

This is the second book and the conclusion to Dario and Bell's story. Dario has sent Bell away to protect her. Bell comes to understand more about Dario while she is gone. A series of unexpected twists keep the couple apart but will they be able to come together after? A good read.

This was a great read. There were two books in the series and I enjoyed them both. The story was crazy and had me on the edge of my seat thinking what next!!

I liked the end of this duet; however, the author did not sell me on the background of the main character. The man he is now and the man he once was just do not add up. It's conceivable, it just wasn't portrayed well. Other than that, it was a fun, light read.

WOW!! I loved the first part of this story. It ended with a cliffhanger of epic proportions.
And this second book has not disappointed me. The plot is just fantastic, full of intrigue. And if I liked Dario and Bell before, I adore them now. The rest of the characters have an important role in this book, too.
Claudia is not longer a supporting role character, proving that she is smarter than we thought.
There were some parts of the book that I could picture easily as a movie. It is a book that you won't be able to put down, especially the last chapters.

I loved the conclusion to this duology. I was kept at the edge of my seat throughout the story. The romance between the main characters was hot! I love the author's writing she definitely knows how to write suspenseful romance!

There were definitely lots of twists and turns and surprises in Double Down, which is the conclusion to the first book Even Money. It was steamy at times and I definitely enjoyed it more than the first book, but overall it wasn't my favorite Alessandra Torre story.
