This is book two in the all in duet series.
This start off where Even Money ends. In all the directions this book could have went I wasn't expected what I received. This is a well written story and the suspense is insane. Plan to be on the edge of your seat throughout this whole book.
Enjoy the ride

Continuing the series, the second books is as hot as the first. You get drawn in completely, asking yourself a hundred unanswered questions. The chemistry is always there. It’s one of my pet peeves with heroine and hero.

If you’ve read the first one. Read this one. You won’t want to miss out.

I’d recieved this ARC for a honest review.

We won't be posting a review for this one because it won't get a good rating and we already posted a low rating review for book 1 of this duet.

Suspenseful and so good
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part two in the series starting right after a cliffhanger, Double Down continued to captivate me and hold me hostage. I could not get enough of Dario and Bell together. You could feel the spark and the energy; the despair and pain; the heat and the fire.
This portion focused mainly on the suspenseful twists in the story and less on the heated connection. But they were there. They were definitely there to remind us just how good Torre brought these two together and how well they work as one.
This book is full of triggers, crime, and violence. It is loaded with intense situations that capture your attention and doesn’t let up until the very end.
What started as a spicy hot romance finished as a suspense filled romance and every step of the way you get to enjoy Dario. Great series!
After the way the first book, Even Money ended, I knew we were going to be in for one heck of a bumpy ride with Double Down.
And Ms Torre did not disappoint me.
Holy crapballs, this book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. The conclustion to Dario and Bell's story had me anxious, had me sad, had me mad. For every character I loved, there were two I hated.
I anxiously turned each page, needing to know our lovelies were alright, that they were fighting for each other, that they would make it to their happy ending.
Full of action and suspense, Double Down was a great conclusion to our lovelies story - plenty of twists and turns. Though half the time I wanted to throw my kindle or reach into my kindle and punch somebody!
I can't wait to see what Ms Torre brings us next
After leaving us desperately begging for more after the ending of Even Money Alessandra Torre has hit the jackpot and given us a fabulous conclusion to Dario and Bell's story.
I'm not going to day too much has I don't want to give any of the story away but with the threat of Dario's father- in- law hanging over Bell she and Dario have lots of bumps in the road to het over if they are to ever have a chance if being together.
A series not to be missed but please make sure you read Even Money first!!
We left off with quite the cliffhanger in the first book, “Even Money.” Where will Bell’s journey take us?
Everything was still. Everything looked normal.
Except, of course, everything wasn’t.
Normal… How do you get there when faced with devastation? How does one pick up the pieces of a fractured story and put yourself back together to make the perfect game face? Bell is safe and that is all that matters to Dario. He has her hidden from the monster that is part of Dario’s life, and this evil monster has a debt Dario needs to pay. Tit for tat and all that…
Love wasn’t worth dying for, not when death can be avoided, not when two souls could part ways and each carry on long and healthy lives.
Aha, Bell… Now you’re talking my language. Get out of there! I still don’t like Dario…I was never able to warm up to him and I can’t put my finger on why. No big deal. He and I would never have crossed paths in real life and he would never have noticed me and my simple looks. I didn’t take his breath away like Bell captivated him from first glance. Now Dario loves Bell and she is reciprocating his feelings. The one thing I will say about Dario is he was the first to profess his love. He wanted to make certain Bell knew he was in this dangerous romance with all his heart.
“Love me through the cracks.” -- Dario
I would. I did. There was no way I could walk away now.
I found the writing in this second installment to have more depth, but I felt like some characters were developed in the first book and never to be heard from again. Will there be more in this series? I have no idea, but I just feel like this isn’t all neatly tied up with a ribbon under the Christmas tree. “This time she would make no mistakes.” Hmmm…. I’ll leave you to make your own judgement.
this book takes place right after book 1 ends and it is vital it be read in order and preffered that you binge read it. I think thre book is long but its kind of unnecessary I think book 2 would have worked as a novella since it had a lot of nothing in it. I mean there was super delicious hot sex which was great. I think what this book does better than book 1 is that the relationship between the two characters makes more sense and feels more stable. I think I hurt for Dario so much in book 2 I felt all of his pain but Bell to me was OTP. I wanted so much more from book 2 . I think there are a lot of really good plot twists that never worked how I wanted to. The introduction of Claudia and Laurent could use some work. I didn’t love book 2 but I think it was an okay read that kind of made me a skim a bit. I think at the end of the day I didn’t care for Bell and her immaturity level even though I liked her ast the beginning I think she lost her character.
Double Down by Alessandra Torre is the conclusion of Dario's and Bell's story. Just like book one, it leaves nothing to be desired. It is full of action, suspense, sexy times, and then some. There's no other way to say this... I devoured it.
I don't know what I would've done had I not had this book handy after the cliffhanger from book 1. Talk about a cliffhanger! Think of it as one of your favorite crime thriller TV shows where you can't wait until the next episode is out.
Dario is overwhelmingly alpha, and although their relationship is kind of an "insta-love", the way the author develops it throughout the challenges they have to face, makes you not only like the characters but feel for their struggles too.
I don't know, but by the time I finished this book Dario and Bell felt too real to me. Let me say, I wish he was real for sure LOL!
I do have to say the way this ends leads me to think there might be more stories, though it says this is the conclusion. Then again, perhaps any subsequent stories can focus on the other two main secondary characters.
Dario and Bell were a rollercoaster of a ride to read. I wasn't sure how I felt about some of the characters' deaths, but not everyone can have a happy ending or if that'd been the case, it would've made the story too predictable. Perhaps that is exactly the reason why I liked it so much. I didn't see coming some of the twists in it.
If you haven't read these two books, you're totally missing out.
I really liked this book. It’s a great sequel to Even Money. I loved the twisted mind of Claudia, the determination of Dario and Bell’s strength despite all the drama going on. Great work and a must read for anyone who likes romantic suspense.
Loved the second and final book in this duet. ‘Double Down’ picks up after a massive cliffhanger and murder in’Even Money’. A lot of suspense and mystery packed into this story. Dario and Bell grow together as a couple while managing to grown on their own as well. I love a good romantic suspense and this duet checked all my boxes.
The danger is real! There are some characters that are really messed up in the head and have the means to make some serious damage. When Bell's life is threaten Dario is goes into action mode, into protection mode. The good thing I really liked is that Bell follows her heart and sticks to Dario's side. In other stories mistakes are made because victims always think they know best and leave themselves open and vulnerable to threats. Here, I was very surprised Bell understood that following Dario's lead and instructions was the safest way plus I also liked that even when she was scared she had faith in him and their relationship. A difficult one but a strong one non the less.
This is the second book in Alessandra Torre’s, the All in Duet. It picks immediately after the cliffhanger that was Even Money. Dario and Bell still have a very strong connection. This book has everything; drama, humour, action, and suspense. A must read.
OMG!! Double Down is the second book in the All In Duet by Alessandra Torre. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough! A well written conclusion to a wonderful story.
Double Down picks up where Even Money leaves off and continues to take us on an intense ride. With extremely interesting characters and lots of action, the love Bell and Dario share far outweighs the risk and danger they have to endure to be together.
An incredibly exciting, amazingly written and suspenseful crime drama with enough sweet, romantic and sexy scenes to please everyone!
Double Down opens right where Even Money left off. From that very first page, the novel moved forward at a quick pace. The suspense was high, and it kept me on the edge of my seat as the story played out.
Dario and Bell still had that strong connection that developed between them in book one, and the love they shared could certainly be felt, I only wish they had a few more steamy and/or romantic moments together.
This book focused more on the drama, action, and suspense aspects of the story and less on the romantic side. I found the build-up to be great, but the climactic point was mediocre and everything was too quick to wrap up. The 'villain showdown' so to speak didn't really happen and I suppose I was expecting something more.
Despite having less of a romantic focus, Double Down was an intense and gripping read. The duet as a whole was an entertaining ride. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a romantic suspense fan!
I loved this series for so many reasons. The characters were interesting, the plot intriguing, the sex scorching and the writing tight and perfect. Once I picked this up I couldn’t put it down and now, long after I’m done, I’m still craving more of Bell and Dario.
Picking up right where Even Money left off, Double Down deals with the attempt on Bell’s life and the lengths Dario must go through to protect the woman he loves. I found his protectiveness to be oh-so alpha, and adored reading about Dario putting Bell above everything. Sending her to his home in Louisiana to protect her, I enjoyed seeing the humble beginnings where this King of Las Vegas began. It humanized this larger than life man and made him just that much more desirable to me.
Alessandra Torre’s ability to spin a tale full of twists and suspense and unresolved ends drew me in, and I truly could not put this book down. While I longed for a happily ever after for this couple, I can’t say that I’m sorry that everything was not wrapped up on a nice neat bow. The secondary characters were so interesting and likeable that I’d love to see some of them again, and while Bell and Dario deserve their happy ending, I’d invite more drama if it meant getting to experience more of their brand of romance.
Loved this half of the duet from Alessandra!
I don't want to spoil anything because again, second part of the duet, but I really enjoyed this novel. It was well paced and with characters that I really enjoyed from start to finish. I loved the secondary characters even if we got a smidge less of them in this read.
This was SUCH a fun read. I adore the fact that no matter what book Alessandra writes it is a COMPLETELY new read and still has that perfect sizzle. (I.E. not the same plot over and over)
This was no different, it was a breath of new and completely fantastic.
Also, I totally want more. SO MUCH MORE!
This ends with enough unsaid that we could totally get more in this world. I need a book for everyone. ALL OF THEM. Especially Laurent!
Dario and Bell went through SO MUCH in this series is was suspense filled and brilliant in a way that you just fall for.
Gambling, romance, and ALL THE TWISTS.
Double Down is a thrilling conclusion to the All In Duet! This story picks up right where Even Money left off, and we're introduced to a few more excellent supporting characters.
There's passion, intrigue, and a glimpse into the mind of a killer. Overall, wonderful romantic suspense--a very solid 4 stars. It's 4 not 5 for me, because I just wasn't drawn into the conclusion quite the way I was the first part of the duet, and it leaves things hanging in a way that left me unsettled (though for many, that may be a positive for a romantic suspense!)
Bottom line: Bell and Darion's duet is worth a read!
