Christmas at the Cat Cafe is a fun holiday book. The author, Melissa Daley, write delightful tales as seen through a cat's eyes. This book is a followup to her previous book, Molly and the Cat Cafe. That said, the book is fun whether you read the first book or not.

I like this book as I love the animals in the book. It reminds me a bit of Rita Mae Brown's series with her animals that solve mysteries. Daley's book is not a mystery - it is a delightful romp. A romp that address issues like homelessness and other social justice issues without being pedantic.

The book ends on a nice note, and Merry Christmas everyone.

Thank you to NetGalley for letting me preview this book. This review is my honest assessment of the book.

The Growing of Families
This is a lovely cozy Christmas story. As told by the Queen of the cat colony, the story is about how families grow and change. The book is full of every emotion, from love to jealousy, anger to angst. I am sure that there are more stories about the cat cafe. This is the only one I have read and it makes me want to read more. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review.

Debbie runs the Cat Cafe. Molly is the resident kittyand was adopted by Debbiewhen she was a stray. Molly has several kittens and Jasper is the alley cat who is the father. One big happy family until Beau and Linda come to stay. Linda is Debbie's sister who has left her husband. She comes to Debbie for support and ends up moving in with her little dog Beau. Linda starts to make decisions about the cafe without consulting with Debbie. Plus Debbie's teenage daughter is being a pill.
Tension is in the air.

I have waffled a bit on my rating. The story was easy to read and I really liked Debbie. Linda got on my nerves because she didn't take responsibility for herself and let Debbie do everything for her. However, I enjoyed the cats talking to each other. What I didn't like was that the cats had emotions and reactions that were human-like and created a lot of drama within the cat family.. In fact, more than half of the story revolved around Molly's jealousy and worry for her kittens. The story is fun and I liked the characters. I just didn't expect the cats to be so serious and be so messed up like humans .

This delightfully sweet tale is told through the anthropomorphic viewpoint of Molly, a former street cat now resident shop cat. Molly had a home, until she didn't and then became the inspiration for a delicious cafe where diners could observe and, if the cat is willing, interact with Molly and her kittens. We get to know the personalities of several of the now grown kittens and Molly's alley-cat beau, Jasper. We also view the interactions of cafe owner Debbie, her daughter, and unexpected move in guest, Linda, Debbie's sister, along with various other friends and foes, all through Molly's eyes and interpretations.
I will warn that there are a few tense moments, one very sad moment, but all seems to work out in the end.

I found this to be a wonderful book to snuggle up with, with a cat or two, and maybe even a cat-trained pup. Leave your own troubles and challenges behind and see how Molly learns to face up to changes in her world. There is a slight Christmas theme to the ending of the book, but it is not over the top. Overall this is a book about family, friendship, overcoming obstacles and making the best of life's changes.

Christmas at the Cat Cafe by Melissa Daley. I loved this book. Christmas at the Cat Cafe was written from a cats perspective. If you love cats you will love this book. The descriptions of the Cat cafe and what was going on around town made you feel like you were in the Cat Cafe. The story line between the two sisters was about what family is about. The two did not always get along but they were there for each other.

Heartwarming and unforgettable. Christmas at the Cat Café is a story for all ages.

Molly’s Cat Café is located in the quaint town of Stourton. Debbie owns the café and is the caretaker of the cats. The story is told from cat’s point of view. Molly is happy with her life in the café with her caretakers, kittens and baby-daddy, Jasper. But, their lives are turned upside down by the arrival of Debbie’s sister Linda who moves in their tiny loft and brings her dog, Beau. The loft was barely big enough for Debbie, her daughter, and the cats. The final straw was when Linda decided to adopt a Siamese cat named Ming for the cafe. Ming steals Molly’s glory and this sets off a chain of incidents that no one expected. With Christmas being known as a season of miracles, Molly’s Cat Café soon becomes a happy place for everyone again.

I really enjoyed the story and the author’s writing style. She totally got into Molly’s head and it felt so real like maybe it is how cats feel. I started thinking of my new kitten and what my two older cats might be thinking of their newcomer. This is the second book in a series, but I feel it can be read as a stand-alone. It’s a wonderful story all by itself. If you love cats and a sweet story, this book will leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling and a smile on your face.

Thank you to St Martin’s Press and NetGalley for allowing me to read this and ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Interesting story told by the cats that lived in the cat cafe. Their perspective is intriguing. You'll enjoy this story and learn that cat parents are just like the humans.

Christmas at the Cat Cafe is the sequel to Molly and the Cat Cafe. Stourton-on-the-Hill has its very own cat cafe. Chief cat Molly and her baby kittens, live here in the cafe while her person Debbie serves up goodies to the locals. Debbie's sister arrives with her dog and things go awry.

This is a heartwarming, festive story of Debbie, her cats and family at Christmas time. A beautiful uplifting read.

Wonderful, beautiful, captivating; a story like this one is a little-big Christmas's masterpiece; it is enchanting.
Amazing.
Christmas at the Cat Café by Melissa Daley is technically perfect, written divinely, the best Christmas's story that you want to read if you love animals and if you fall in love for cats; fresh, also abstracting this story from Christmas, it would be fantastic. It is clear, descriptive, intelligent, human, real.
And what a narrator...

The narrator, the voice of this book the one of Molly the cat of Debbie, the owner in an enchanting Cotswold's town of a Cat Café where Molly plays without difficulty the role of the Queen.

A little colony the one created by Debbie, composed by seven cats. At first it was Molly, later the arrival of Jasper the "guy" of the situation, a stray adorable cat and father of her five kittens.
In the family? There is perfect harmony. Debbie has a precise routine, she adores all these cats, she is comfy with her life and happy for the result reached.
She has a daughter, Sophie and a boyfriend, various friends. Nothing is more enchantingly perfect than the moment she is living in.

Nothing: 'til at the arrival of Linda. Her sister.

Oh: Linda...Undoubtedly the opposite of Debbie. While Debbie doesn't mind about her body, she is tranquil with every thing she wears, Linda living in another environment is simply more chic and researched.
She heavily discussed with her husband and without any idea of returning home too soon but keeping alive the purpose of using massively his credit card, decides of changing air.
She asks for a place where to staying at her sister. Debbie knows Linda. She is nice, but you know...Just different. She accepts with enthusiasm of giving her a sofa bed where to sleep in, hoping that the situation will be sorted out soon between Linda and David.

What a joy staying at Debbie's house. When Linda returns with various luggage Molly notices him: who the hell is that one?
Beau. Sophisticated, trendy name for an adorable dog who of course will live incredibly funny adventures with all Debbie's cats. Peace is gone...

But not only: when Debbie understands that maybe the sister doesn't have any rush to make peace with the husband, she will ask her of working in the café; Linda is great but after a while as she does with food, her quinoa recipes are memorable, her expensive clothes or accessories unforgettable, she introduces another pet in the café: someone more trendy and appropriate according to her point of view than Molly. The new arrival will be seen and lived with great suspect.

The story of the meeting between Debbie and Molly is enchanting. Molly was the cat of Margery. When Margery's memory became frail, once old, Debbie adopted her, staying in contact with Margery. Margery will surprise Molly and Debbie, you will see and Linda will try to convince the sister of bettering the existence of everyone although at first Debbie doesn't know what to do.

I will stop here because I want to invite you to go to your local bookstore, or online for buying this book on October 19 when it will be released.

It's beautiful, you will see, and you can tell: that reviewer was right.

Highly recommended.

I thank NetGalley and St.Martin's Press for this eBook.

I’ll admit...I totally judged this book by its cover. But I’m so glad I did. This is a sweet (but not *too* sweet) story of forgiveness, kindness and learning to let go. I loved Molly, Ming and Debbie and even Linda grated on me less by the end. I recommend this! 4.5 stars from me.

Christmas and Cats - what's not to love!
Christmas may be approaching but when Debbie's sister Linda and her dog Beau come to stay at the Cat Cafe it is the start of a traumatic few weeks for Molly and her kittens. There is tension between the sisters and Debbie's daughter Sophie finds things far too crowded in the small flat.
Then Linda introduces Ming to the cafe and Molly starts to feel her position both in the cafe and the family under threat.
Throw in an unexpected inheritance and kitten Eddie going missing and the festive spirit is in very short supply.
Can Debbie sort out her problems and Molly find Eddie in time to make it a Happy Christmas?
Written from Molly's perspective this is the perfect book for any cat lover to curl up with. I read it in one sitting because I just needed to know what happened.

Christmas at the Cat Cafe by Melissa Daley was a sweet story set in the Cotswolds. Molly, a cat, and her kittens live at Debbie's Cat Cafe in the small town of Stourton-on-the-Hill. Molly is of the opinion that life is perfect but there are some trials ahead for Molly, her kittens and Debbie as Christmas approaches.
A smoothly paced plot with a unique viewpoint, Molly's, and likable characters that welcome you into their lives as you read. A lovely afternoon read that reminded me of what Christmas and family are all about.

Join Molly, Jasper and the rest of the feline gang who tell their stories from their cat point of view as they observe the doings at the Cat Cafe owned by Debbie. Author Melissa Daley's writing has captured the charm of cat ownership, and how cats view the world. The cat illustrations used throughout the book are the icing on the cake, or perhaps you could write Devonshire cream topping your scone.

The Christmas at the Cat Cafe book would make a perfect Christmas gift for any cat lover.

Highly recommend.
