This is the second Eternity Springs novel that I have read and I am again enchanted by the magic of this beautiful town. Maybe it’s the Christmas spirit, maybe it’s the inhabitants who make this little town so magical and unique. But no matter what, this is a book that you truly don’t want to miss!

Jenna Stockton is a single mother to a six year old boy. Being a doctor, she has a hectic schedule but tries very hard to give her son a great life. But no matter how hard she works, her son has one wish that she is unable to grant. He desperately wants a father. So her son, Reilly, decides to take matters into his own hands and calls North Pole One and asks Santa to bring him a daddy for Christmas.

Devin Murphy is all too aware of the importance of a father. Having lost his parents when he was a kid, he can’t imagine how his life would have turned out if not for Cam Murphy who adopted him. He has no intention of being Santa Claus, but he just can’t tell the little boy that he has the wrong number and shatter his dreams. So he decides to play along and he soon discovers that Reilly and his mother are being bullied and pranked by someone and are in serious danger.

Not only the main characters but also the secondary characters of this sweet holiday romance will have you smiling and hearing Christmas bells. No matter where we live or what our circumstances are, I bet we all wish we had a place like Eternity Springs to run to and take refuge at. Emily March’s romance packs a lot of chemistry but leaves the reader outside the bedroom door. So if you are a fan of more explicit romances, this may leave you a little wanting. But trust me when I say that the lack of love scenes won’t keep you from enjoying this sweet romance.

Christmas has come a little early this year with “The Christmas Wishing Tree”!

This is the 15 in the series of Eternity Springs. This can be read alone but I like the series and how they all weave together. It’s about a single mom trying to protect her son from an unknown personwho is stalking them. Jenna and Reilly need to find a safe place and Eternity Springs seems to be the place.
Devin, a hunky Australian visiting his parents in Eternity Springs, He came to care about both Jenna and Reilly through phone calls before ever meeting them. Devin convinces Jenna that he and others in the small town can keep them safe, he just might be able to provide what they need. They start to have feelings for each other but Devin is only there for short term because his business is in Australia. Jenna isn’t sure what to do.
The Christmas Wishing Tree is another great installment is the Eternity Springs series!

What an enjoyable Christmas themed romance! Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. This was my first visit to the small town setting of Eternity Springs, but I am looking forward to returning via other books. Eternity Springs, Colorado is one of the highlights of this book, as are the residents. This book will appeal to readers who enjoy magical small town settings.

Also making this book especially enjoyable was the situation and storyline, which although mostly sweet and fun, contained some mystery and intrigue related to Jenna's stalker. Jenna and Devin were an especially likeable and interesting couple. Although this has a Christmas theme, the story takes place over a longer period of time than one season. This was a fulfilling, entertaining, and heartwarming read. I highly recommend it!

When I first saw The Christmas Wishing Tree, I thought it was going to be one of those feel-good books. One of those books where the male and female main characters knew from day 1 that they were meant for each other. Where Instalove rules and a relationship of 3 days is enough to know that he/she is the one. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy reading those types of books. I also enjoy reviewing them. But, I have become bored with Instalove romances. I was happy when I started reading The Christmas Wishing Tree.

The Christmas Wishing Tree is the story of Devin, Jenna, and Reilly. Devin is an Aussie on vacation in Eternity Springs visiting his adoptive parents. Jenna is a busy OBGYN who is stressed out by the Christmas time rush and a stalker. Reilly is Jenna’s 6-year-old adopted son who believes in Santa. Devin and Jenna meet when Reilly somehow gets the phone number of the burner phone that Devin was given. Reilly was told that the phone was a line to Santa. Devin and Jenna finally talk and they both agree to let Devin keep up the charade. Things change when Jenna’s stalker becomes dangerous. Desperate to provide a safe and stable environment for her son, Jenna goes off the grid and ends up in Eternity Springs. There she meets Devin. It is there where she has a stand down with her stalker. It is there where she realizes that Devin is more than Santa to her. After being on the run and afraid, can she trust enough to put down roots? Will, she let Devin and the people of Eternity Springs help her? Can she get Reilly the help he needs? More importantly, can she love?

For being the 15th (yes 15th!!!) book in the series, The Christmas Wishing Tree can be read as a stand-alone. I have some very strong feelings about picking up a book mid-series. The short version, it annoys me. I hate reading a book, having past books come up and having no idea what is going on. So yes, I was happy with this book. I was able to get into Devin and Jenna’s story without having to worry about the past books being a major issue.

I liked how true to life the author made Jenna’s stalker storyline. Unfortunately, in real life, most stalking cases are not addressed by the police because of the reasons stated in the book. Most stalking victims (male and female) have had to take drastic measures like Jenna took to escape their stalkers. While Jenna’s case did get resolved (because someone took her serious), most don’t. Like I said at the beginning of the paragraph, I enjoyed it. As for Jenna’s stalker, I thought knew who it was. So when her stalker’s identity was revealed, I was surprised.

I felt awful for Reilly during the book. He endured 2 traumatic experiences that scarred him. I know that Jenna was doing what she thought was right but I didn’t think that traveling the country in an RV, under an assumed name was the right thing for him. That poor boy needed therapy as soon as the second traumatic event happened. Not almost a year later. Not faulting Jenna, because she was in flight or fight mode, but still. I was glad when Jenna relented and got Sinatra for Reilly. I also was glad when she allowed him to go to the ranch, where there were people qualified to help him.

I thought Devin was awesome the entire book. He went along playing Santa when he could have been a Grinch about it. He started the ball rolling when he found out about Jenna’s stalker. He was a devoted brother, uncle, and son. He also had a jealous streak a mile wide. I called when he had a fist fight with Boone. The glares he kept giving him before that cracked me up.

Devin and Jenna’s romance was delicious. It was a slow burn. I loved it. I loved that the chemistry between them built up over time. It wasn’t instantaneous. It was 2 years in the making. What I also liked was that the sex scenes were not explicit. The author put enough in there so you knew what was going on. Loved it!!

The end of The Christmas Wishing Tree was cute. I liked how the author wrapped up the storylines. They were all ended in ways that satisfied me as a reader. I am looking forward to book 16. Hopefully, it will be Boone.

What I liked about The Christmas Wishing Tree:

Loved that it could be read as a stand-alone
Devin and Jenna’s relationship
The storyline
What I disliked about The Christmas Wishing Tree:

Jenna’s stalker
How Reilly was affected by everything that was going on
How Jenna was affected by her stalker
I gave The Christmas Wishing Tree a 4-star rating. This was an enjoyable read. The characters were relatable and the plotline was engaging. My only complaint had no bearing on my rating. That complaint was about the stalking plotline. It made me sad to see how one person could ruin someone’s life.

I will reread The Christmas Wishing Tree. I also would recommend this book to family and friends.

A cute, delightful, holiday romance that was sweet and innocent.  The characters were good, the plot was entertaining, the pacing was believable, and the passion was very very very tame.  Several kisses, but nothing else. In that department it lacked what I look for in a good romance.  If you like the tame and sweet romances, then this is perfect for you.  If you prefer to have some steam coming of the pages, go into this book expecting to be let down.  If I knew going into it that it would be tame, I would have been ok.  I did like the plot.  I did enjoy the characters and the conflict.  I did enjoy the story. But I do like to have passion in my romances, so that was the only let-down to this book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley to read in exchange for a fair review. The Christmas Wishing Tree is the 16th book in Emily March’s Eternity Springs series. It was the first book I read in the series and can definitely be read as a stand-alone as I did not feel that I was missing out on something while I was reading as you sometimes do with series books. This book is the story of Dr. Jenna Stockton an obstetrician and single mother who is being harassed by a mysterious stalker who is elevating the harassment from the merely annoying delivery of multiple pizzas to the extremely dangerous with SWATTING. Devin Murphy a charter boat business owner is visiting family in Eternity Springs when a replacement phone he was given rings and on the other end is a small boy who thinks he is calling Santa. Reilly Stockton has called Santa to ask for a dad. This is a heartwarming Christmas story that I probably would not have read on my own because of the stalker storyline as I avoid those generally. I did enjoy reading this book despite that. More sweet than steamy Publishing Date September 25, 2018 #NetGalley #TheChristmasWishingTree

A visit to Eternity Springs is always going to be special and this may be the most special one yet! I loved the premise and how Reilly and Devin met first and then how his relationship with Jenna developed just through fairy anonymous phone calls.

The plot line involving Jenna's stalker was very dramatic and since Reilly reminded me of my own little boy my heart broke for her a time or two. My main issue with the book as a whole is how quickly that ended up wrapping up. Everything is explained but I just would have liked a little more.

However, everything else delivered in full. I loved seeing all the residents of Eternity Springs and I loved how they all supported Jenna. While this isn't my first Eternity Springs novel I haven't read all of them so I was unfamiliar with a number of characters but that really wasn't a problem. I loved how the relationship developed even further between Devin and Jenna. It was so sweet though Devin had some fairly reasonable reservations. I really liked them both. Devin is sweet and soft hearted though he wouldn't really admit to either one of those things. He's just a good guy all around. Jenna is smart and strong and so determined to take care of her son. She wants to do everything on her own but is able to take help when she needs it and a good solution is offered though she does have some concerns. Reilly feels like such a typical little boy. He's sweet and energetic and while he is incredibly resilient he doesn't take to every change easily.

This was a lovely Christmas-y read with a touch of suspense and a bit of humor. I love the community of Eternity Springs and I loved the characters. This is the perfect book to get you in the holiday mood!

Favorite Quotes:

Her son could be a terrier when he got an idea in his head, and lately, every time she turned around, he’d been yipping and yapping about needing a daddy. How about I just order one online?

Those are really big antlers.” “They’re called a rack,” Michael informed Reilly. “My brother Devin says guys really like big racks.” Jenna made a strangled noise in her throat.

I choose to live my vision, not my circumstance.

Devin didn’t dream about finding The One. His MO was The Many. He liked having a harem, to use his father’s term.

If Cam dyes his hair and starts wearing turtlenecks, I’ll lose my mind.

My Review:

Although it is not primarily a holiday story as the events span more than a year, this was a sweet, light, and effortless read and a gentle way to ease into the season. The premise was original with several active and engaging storylines of light suspense and contemporary romance. I don’t recall many books were all of the primary and secondary characters were as considerate and likable as those inhabiting this unusually relaxed and accommodating small town. The writing was well-paced, easy to follow, and pleasantly amusing.

Babies, puppies, a budding but resistant romance, and maybe one of the best cast of truly nice and sincere group of characters you'll find, The Christmas Wishing Tree had it all.

Every year there is that one holiday story that touches my heart and reminds me exactly what the season is all about. This year, for me, this is that book. It's an amazing story of love, compassion, family, and friendship that you won't soon forget.

There is nothing Jenna Stockton won't do to protect her son Riley and keep him safe. Stumbling upon the small mountain town of Eternity Springs, CO will turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to them but it will take a little time for her to realize and accept it. This is their journey and it's one you don't want to miss!

A delightful Christmas novel in the New York Times bestselling Eternity Springs series.

My Thoughts:

This is my first time reading any of the books in this popular series. I guess because it is contemporary I more or less ignored them but I will not miss another one.
This book has moments of laughter, freight, and tears.
I had a difficult time putting it down for such mundane things as work and sleep.
It is not to be missed with a storyline that stretches over two Christmas seasons and brings us to a wonderful conclusion.
This book gets a high 5 of 5 stars for storyline and characterization and a mild sensual rating because it has only closed door scenes.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

If you’ve read other Emily March novels about the fictional town of Eternity Springs, Colorady, you know what you’re getting. There is a sweet romance with a bit of woo-woo angel magic. I liked this more than some others because there was a bit of a suspense element as Jenna and her adopted son, Reilly, are the target of a mysterious enemy who has had them “swatted” twice thus terrorizing Reilly and forcing Jenna to leave her OB/GYN practice and travel across the count.

Add in that Reilly had called Devin thinking that his cell number was the number for Santa Claus and told Devin that he wanted a daddy for Christmas. Devin enjoys talking to the little boy and mentions that his town of Eternity Springs is a great place. Jenna and Reilly end up going there and falling in love the town as well as Devin. But Devin just wants to go back to being a fisherman in Australia and so won’t commit to Reilly and Jenna even though he’s clearly fallen for them.

The suspense plot was wrapped up pretty quickly and painlessly. I wanted more than that since it was built up so much in the first part of the book. Finding out who the bad guy was was pretty unsatisfying.

The other problem I had was that the town is peopled with with the characters of March’s earlier novels. I couldn’t keep track of who was who or remember their back stories even though we’re supposed to sort of just be riding along with who is who. I know that is a common problem with book series and it’s a delicate balance to give repeated backstories every new novel, but it is also irritating to have people who are characters in the new book whom I just don’t remember at all.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

It felt a little strange to be reading a Christmas story in late summer but this is a lovely story that has a bit of everything, stalking, mystery & of course romance. This is the fifteenth book in the series but could be read on it’s own. I've found that the more Eternity Springs books I read the more I become involved in the community & passed characters only add to the enjoyment of the book. The story flows well & the characters have plenty of depth

Do you believe in Santa? Jenna will do whatever it takes to keep her son Reilly safe but no matter her stalker seems to find her. How much longer can she carry on for? Reilly knows that his Mom is trying to keep them safe but he wishes that he had a Dad that could help. Reilly knows that Santa will bring him a Dad if he asks so he calls Santa and tells him a story. Devon doesn't know how this young boy got this number but he is happy to pay along and in no time they are becoming friends and he gets to talk to Reilly's mom Jenna but everything changes after Reilly gets hurt. Devin hopes that one day that he does get to meet her but that will never happen will it? Jenna & Reilly have been hiding and they are both surprised when they meet Devin but they are both afraid that the stalker will find them again but he isn't letting them run again. Can the town really help catch the stalker and will they be free to live their lives in peace? But Jenna knows that Devin needs to go back to his life and she realises too late that he has stolen her heart but what can she do? Devin wasn't looking for a family but can he give up everything for them? A good read. The townsfolk all add to the story and they take care of their own. Jenna is one fierce mom that will do anything to keep her son safe and if that means being on the run she will do it. Devin finds what he is looking for and he needs to decide if Santa is going to keep his promise. I was lucky enough to receive a copy via Netgalley and the publishing house in exchange for my honest review.

Devin comes home for the holidays to be home with family when he gets a phone call from a little boy from a far and he wonders what more he can do to help this young man. Jenna is doing what she loves when a phone call from her son sends them to a small town in Colorado. Will Eternity Springs magic show in their lives or will they just be better off to continue to another journey?

I was so excited when I saw that another Eternity springs book was coming out. I love this little town and all the fun characters. When this book started it really started off strong and I had a hard time putting the book down. However I felt with such a big thing that was so prominent in Jenna's life kind of took a back seat half way through and then would pick up a little bit here and there. I was disappointed because I felt like in those moments the book dragged. I did enjoy the over all storyline I just wish it would have been constant through out. This book has very small amounts of adult language/situations. I also loved the fun "blizzard" twist in the book. (that is not giving anything away so don't worry). Over all if you have been reading the books about Eternity springs grab this book you won't be disappointed to catch up with these fun characters.

A sweet, romantic novel about a mother's love that will do whatever it takes to protect her child.
With action and danger, situations so tense I could not stop reading until things got better, and characters I quickly became attached to, I was never prepared for the next shoe to drop.
A romance we all wanted to see succeed, but realistic enough to allow life to make it difficult.

Devin Murphy loves adventure and decides to returen to his hometown of Eternity Springs. Jenna Stockton and her six year old son Reilly, left Florida after a difficult experience and they end up in Eternity Springs trying to start again and settle down. When Devin uses an old phone to bring Christmas joy to Reilly, he gets a little closer to Jenna, but will sparks fly?

The Christmas Wishing Tree is a lovely festive book located in Eternity Springs and we see familiar characters and places from the other books. There's love, friendship drama fun and cute animals as well as familiar faces and the pace of the book makes this a joy to listen to.

I have reviewed books 13, 14 and 15 in the Eternity Springs series now and adore the characters and settings.

Blog tour post on 22 September 2018 on Katherine's Book Universe. Thanks to Emily March and St Martin's Press for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

I received The Christmas Wishing Tree written by Emily March from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. I have just found Emily March this year and have been enjoying her books. This is the most recent Eternity Springs novel but can be read as a stand alone.
Devin Murphy adopted son of Cam and Sarah. He returns to Eternity Springs for a Christmas trip and receives a call from an unknown boy thinking he is calling Santa. What is a man to do when a boy ask Santa for a dad??? Tell him to keep believing.
Jenna Stockton adopted Reilly as a baby. As a doctor and single mom, she struggles with time management. Add to the list of never-ending things to do, she thinks someone is stalking her. So when she receives a call from an unknown number telling her son wishes for a dad, she doesn't know what to do. Over the next week, a bond is form between the two without ever exchanging names. But when SWAT raids Jenna's home, and she realizes someone called them as a prank, she decides she needs a change of scenery to keep her son safe. Remembering Santa telling her that Eternity Springs was filled with magic, she heads west. When Devin and Jenna meet face to face, can they come together and create a family?
A cute book that is a little far fetch; but that is what Christmas miracles are for right? Jenna was very trusting from the beginning and Devin was determined to stay away since he wanted to go back to Australia. The stalker treat ending was anti climatic and blah. Also, I would have like some more back story for the stalker and Devin with his "never want to marry." The reason was just dropped in the story and never expanded on really. Solid 3 1/2 stars #TheChristmasWishingTree #NetGalley
