Who doesn't love Drac?! My son and I ate this graphic novel. I ended up buying some of these for us to own because we both are fans of Hotel Transylvania. It's funny and comical, but still instills some good life lessons.
Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to review this title. I love Hotel Transylvania. The characters are funny and lovable Drac and his family along with the cast of monsters made this a quick and enjoyable read. Great illustrations.
I loved reading this book. Stefan Petrucha writes a wonderful graphic novel that interests both children and adults. I plan on purchasing this and adding it to my collection.
First off I love Hotel Transylvania. Second graphic novels are my secret obsession. I love them because they are so easy to read. That said I love this because the graphics are good. The story was good. I think this would be great for just about anyone to read.
Being a fan of the movies I had to read this one. I thought the characters were true to the movie and was happy to see Johnny did not give up. I think it was a great idea to do it in comic book form. The graphics were good and very vibrant. The storyline was also very good and kept your interest. Johnny tries to prove to his Father In Law Drac he can help to grow the family business. Little did he know there was unseen pranksters in the new motel. I think any fan of Hotel Transylvania movies young or old would like this story.

I'm a huge fan of the Hotel Transylvania movies, they're so fun! I was excited to get the chance to read this graphic novel! It was a great extension of the movies I love so much. It was fun, funny and adorable.
This was absolutely adorable. Perfect little story for both adults and children. Very well drawn and a nice extension of the movies. I look forward to seeing more Hotel Transylvania graphic novels.
Hmmm… Never seen any HT movie, nor read any book. But this was alright. Just – not great, and perhaps not even that good. Characters are stereotypes to begin with, so it's easy to catch up with who's who and what's what, and all you need to concern yourself with is that some human bloke with a vampire father-in-law (bagsie his wife, for she's kind of cute) has an idea above his station, that of franchising out Motels Transylvania. And things don't go that well. It's something that will pass the time for the young – any discerning child will find the structure and plot a little facile, but won't object too much. Like I said, not that good, but not worth dismissing.
I had a lot of fun reading Motel Transylvania. It was nice to see all the characters come together again, and meet some new ones too. I also enjoyed seeing Johnathan as the main character, he did a wonderful job moving this story along. His positive attitude against all kinds of setbacks was a welcome change from the norm for this series. Each panel was full of breath taking colors and it wasn’t always obvious what was going to happen next. As this story came to a close, it ends with a clever segue into Hotel Transylvania 3.
I just finished this book with my six year old and he thought all the shenanigans were golden. He liked the gremilins causing trouble and wanted Dracula to use his eyes to control them. I hope we get to see more of little Dennis soon, though we did. Get to see a bit of how he’s grown!

Smart story and good illustrations. A lot of fun to read, especially with some of the nuanced references to modern day situations (Siri not understanding verbal commands for example). Would definitely recommend!
Thank you NetGalley and publisher, Papercutz, for the opportunity to read this ARC.
This is a cute comic book about the super fun characters from Hotel Transylvania. This book tells the story of their quest to open a Motel in the Swiss Alps. Unfortunately, some pesky goblins make things difficult. Can Drac step in and save the day? Read this fun book to find out!
