I really enjoyed reading this book. I was not familiar with Braxton's music but that is not necessary to enjoy this book. I really liked the format. Rather than just being a biography the book also includes interviews, essays and tour notes. I like the behind the scenes of the compositions and touring. The author does a very good job with making this complex music and composer accessible. After reading the book you will be inspired to search out his music. Anyone with an interest in music will enjoy reading this book.
