I received an arc from Netgalley. This felt like a major tug of war between the two main characters. I enjoyed the main characters but got a little tired of Jake and Sari giving small pieces of themselves and then shutting down.
I like this series though and the strong protective rangers and will continue with the series.
Good read. I enjoyed the story as well as finding Jake and Sari to be great characters. I did find the story a little slow moving, dragging in several parts. Overall an enjoyable story though. Both Jake and Sari have issues from their past that they still dealing with. Together they may help another heal but are they willing to risk it?
Ranger's Courage is a amazing sequel to the first in this series, and is jam-packed with heartfelt and deeply emotional moments, learning to let go of the past, and finding the one person that is willing to love you for who you are.
I was deeply moved by Jake and Sari’s story and the author did a wonderful job of building their background and describing the difficulties faced with moving forward. I look forward to the next book and more of Ms Munn’s engaging characters.
Sari and Jake's story was good overall. It kept my interest to the end, but could have been better. The story starts out with a search for a teenage girl in the Rocky Mountains of Montana. Jake is part of the rescue team, and Sari owns and works with a search dog. Starts out good, and the search is successful. I wish there would have been more like this, as this was the most interesting part of the story. Sari comes across as strong, and Jake is all macho and strong. The story gets a little strained in the middle, when they are jumping in and out of bed a lot, but both have issues with their past they cannot share and get past. By the time of the big reveal at the end it seemed a little anti-climatic, and didn't see the need to stretch it out so long. Other than that though, I did like the characters and the dogs were fun. Would recommend this book, and it is a good summer read.
This story is about a forest ranger and a search dog handler. Jake and Sari are both damaged by things in their pasts. Neither one is good at communicating. As they get to know each other and tell each other about what had happened to them, they grow closer.
I wanted to like this book. I liked the description but the book seemed disjointed. It was hard to follow what was going on. One paragraph would be talking about something the the next paragraph would start with something and I was left wondering how we got to that point. I just couldn't get into it. It has the potential to be a good book.
This is an emotional story about two damaged people coming together and learning how to open up to each other. Jake was married but, his wife was murdered. Sari had a bad childhood. She never knew her father and her mother wasn't able to take care of her. Now he is a Ranger and she trained a search and rescue dog. They came together to save people and ended up saving each other. This is a good book and I would definitely recommend it.
Great read - second book in this series, but I don't think it matters if you haven't read the first.
Siri is a dog handler, called in to help with a missing person search. That is her first meeting with Jake, the ranger in charge. Both of them have secrets in their past which are stopping them move forwards in life. But they can't ignore the attraction between them.
Looking forward to the next book!
I really enjoyed this story. Finished it in 9ne sitting. Could relate to the female more than anything. Loved how the author kept my attention in the story. Can't wait to read more!!
