It was cliche but cute. Even though it was really cheesy I somehow couldn't stop reading it.

The whole friendship thing was really nice, as well as babysitting the siblings :)

Thanks for letting me read the book!

4.5*

I won’t deny that the title intrigued me at first, I really didn’t think I would like this as much as I did but it was such a cute contemporary!! The blurb is basically the first chapter, there’s so much more to the story that makes it a lot better than just a boy stealing a bra.

Riley has a past, who doesn’t, but hers consumes her on the inside, she feels guilty about what happened when it wasn’t really her fault, but I can understand why she would blame herself, stuff like that is harsh. She has problems with relationships because of her ex, but still, she creates this beautiful friendship with her neighbor, aka, who stole her bra, and there’s jokes, playful flirting, small fights and, most importantly, friendship.

I liked that the other characters also had their stories told in a small way, you would learn bit by bit about the others life, Alec, Chase, Joe, Dylan, and Violet. I loved learning about what happened to her cousin Kaitlyn.

It was predictable at some times but to be honest, there’s a lot of YA contemporary that is, and I just found this cute and fluffy and just what I needed right now.

I absolutely loved this book! It was the perfect rom-com lift I needed and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. The depth of the book surprised me and I'd definitely recommend it.

I do love a good contemporary. For me, it's the genre that I always go to when I want quick, light read. Or even if I'm in a major reading slump and I NEED TO GET OUT OF IT RIGHT THEN AND THERE. When it came to reading A Bad Boy Stole My Bra, it was because I needed a quick, light read. I was on the way back from Malta, the sun was shining, and I wanted something where I could chill, and not think too hard. (That sounds so bad like I'm saying contemporaries aren't hard to write, but I just mean I don't have to concentrate on world-building or the pronunciation of fantastical names. I do not mean any offence.)

When bad boy Alec Wilde moves in next door to Riley, sparks fly. After their 'unconventional' introduction, Riley is determined to get her own back. A nemesis is just the distraction she needs: inside, she's barely holding it together. It's game on.

But behind the banter, there's a side to Alec that Riley actually likes. How can she get through to the real him when she can't even take herself seriously?

This book was such a nice, quick read! At just over 300 pages, A Bad Boy Stole My Bra is a cute, contemporary read following a girl as she navigates a hate-to-love relationship and high school. The title of this book insinuates that this is a very childish read; I know I definitely thought it was going to be, so I was very apprehensive when starting it. However, after a few chapters, I realised that it wasn't anymore childish than any other contemporary that I would read. The beginning, however, DID feel very very childish. I can't pinpoint exactly why the beginning made me feel like this, I just remember reading the first couple of chapters, and just noticing how childish the language was that was being used.

Also, this book was just FULL of tropes. You have the bad boy next door (who is actually a big softie), we have the girl who thinks she's a loser but well... she isn't, and then we have the stereotypical high school mean girl who is only mean because of a stupid reason. Basically, these are all the tropes that I find really annoying. You're probably thinking, 'well... Kirsty... You gave it 4 stars...' and yes, I know. Because the even though the mean girl and the loser element of this book really got on my nerves, I couldn't help but like Alec. He was so charming. The only thing that peeved me off about Alec was that he was labelled as a 'bad boy' but he hadn't done anything well... bad. Stealing a bra is not something that - I would think - would label a person as a 'bad boy'.

However, even though there were definitely elements of this book that got on my nerves, I really did enjoy reading it. I remember that I was reading it on the way back from Malta and I finished it in about half a day. It was such a quick read.

One of the things that made this book more than a cutesy-contemporary was how Riley has this hidden past where she feels mega guilty about something that she did. And even though I've seen reviews where people have said that it wasn't even her fault, I can understand WHY Riley feels guilty. She definitely had a hand in what happened, and if I was her, I would feel guilty as well. And because of her feeling guilty about this 'thing' (we find out towards the end what is it), it makes her very wary about opening up to her Mom, to her friends, and to Alec. When Riley first meets Alec, I didn't really think that there was any chemistry, but as their friendship progressed, the banter got so good. I love it when love interests have great banter because it just makes me root for them even more. Towards the end of the novel, I thought that the chemistry between Riley and Alec was amazing.

I did think that there were too many secondary characters, but they were neither too much in the forefront, or too much in the background. They were just... there I guess? But one of the secondary characters that I really did love was Riley's best friend. I thought that she was so cool, and she supported Riley through everything and was also going through the same grief that Riley was over the death of Kaitlyn.

Overall, I found this to be a very fun read, and just what I needed for the journey back from Malta.

Trigger Warnings: death, panic attacks, homophobia

I’ve read a lot of very angsty contemporary YA lately so in that respect this was a breath of fresh air – funny and light, and surprisingly heartfelt. It was a quick read that I finished in a single sitting so clearly the story drew me along. The characters were very typically teen – which meant they didn’t match my experience of being a teenager at all! – but they came across as authentic and engaging. The humour was good if occasionally obscuring the story. I loved the focus on friendships here. Ultimately a quick contemporary blast that I will be ensuring the library carries a copy of.

A Bad Boy Stole My Bra by Lauren Price is a sweet and endearing contemporary YA perfect for fans of Kelly Oram and those who love their YA romance with chemistry and sweetness.

Riley Greene is a quiet, normal sixteen year old girl who is haunted by her part in an accident that cost the life of someone she loved. Riley is used to keeping to herself until a new family moves in next door and she wakes in the middle of the night to find the teenage son stealing her bra. Alec Wilde is a bad boy who quickly earns himself a reputation at school and Riley is determined not only to recover her bra but to get Alec back for stealing it in the first place. What starts out at payback soon blossoms into an unexpected friendship and soon Riley is discovering a new side to Alec that makes her feel all gooey inside. Yet Riley’s past still haunts her and her secrets and fears may be what keep her and Alec apart for good…..

A Bad Boy Stole My Bra really was just a sweet and easy novel to read. Lauren Price has created an adorable YA romance perfect for those looking for a light but still engaging story to get lost in. Fun and endlessly adorable, A Bad Boy Stole My Bra was effortlessly written and very easy to devour. Told through the perspective of down to earth and very normal teenage girl Riley, A Bad Boy Stole My Bra is charming in its sweet and funny way that readers are sure to love.

Riley was a sweet and kind protagonist to follow. Just a normal teenage girl with friends and family and normal problems. Author Lauren Price makes it clear Riley is haunted by something regarding her cousin but doesn’t reveal the complete truth until the end of the story leaving you as the reader reading along desperately. Alec was a very charming love interest who was part bad boy, part sweetheart and won me over easily from the moment I met him and throughout the story.

The driving force behind A Bad Boy Stole My Bra is undoubtable the building romance between Riley and next door neighbour Alec, and boy was it perfect. The two of them had a great chemistry from the moment they met and Lauren Price manages to weave lots of fun, funny and even awkward moments into their relationship. There was a lot of fabulous dialogue and charming moments and I thought it was so cute seeing them fumble and grow together. Their friendship seemed so natural and effortless and I really enjoyed seeing it build to the obvious romance I knew it would.

Sweet but sassy and oh, so adorable from beginning to end, A Bad Boy Stole My Bra is just a fun YA contemporary romance to read. Lauren Price has written a very sweet story and I definitely recommend this for readers who are looking for something with a bit of sugar and teen drama—a great read!

I absolutely loved this book!

I was so excited to see this on NetGalley, immediately recognising it as a story I read a while back on wattpad, and was thrilled when I was accepted to read the arc.

The story of Alec and Riley is wild(e) and crazy and constantly brought a smile to my face and made me giggle out loud.

With her past hidden to protect herself and new challenges now awaiting her, who knew what would happen, especially when it all started with a boy, a dare and a Mickey Mouse bra.

I remember reading this book years ago on Wattpad and i enjoyed it just as much now as I did back then. You get emotionally invested to the characters and all their quirks. The storytelling makes you laugh and cry with the characters and go along their journey with them. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a feel good romance novel.

Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and finding your hot new neighbor in your room with your most embarrassing bra in his hand. Then next thing you know hes out of the window bra in hand and back in his room full of the popular boys from school. How mortifying.
This was how Riley was first introduced to Alec. But boys will be boys and a dares a dare. That doesn't mean she has to sit back and take it. Riley was going to get her own back (aswell as her bra) if its the last thing she does.

She wasn't expecting to find the first true connection with someone since her cousin's death almost a year ago with Alec. But the hot bra theif was much more than she expected. She could easily talk to him and felt comfortable and safe with him but when she realizes shes falling for him (hard) she knows she can never tell him or anyone her darkest secret. But secrets never stay secrets for long will Alec be able to seen past it stand by Riley?

I loved this book it was such an easy read and i couldn't put it down. I had to keep reading to find out if the flirting between Alec and Riley would finally turn into something more and what Riley's dark secret about her cousin's death is.
Definitely worth the read for those who love teen drama and romance

THIS WAS SO FLIPPIN CUTE I COULD HUG A POLAR BEAR RIGHT ABOUT NOW
Even though I had never heard of this book, when I saw this book pop up on Netgalley I was like I KNOW I AM GONNA LOVE THIS.
The title both repulsed (probably not the right word but we're gonna go with it) me while also making me think, this is gonna be hilarious.
And I was SO SO RIGHT about it being hilarious.
I haven't read a funny contemporary like this in over a year, and I think I'm going to have to buy myself a copy of this book ASAP because I love it THAT much. I mean, you give me comedy and you win my heart.
Trust me when I say you need this!

A Bad Boy Stole My Bra was kindly provided to me by Black & White Publishing via Netgalley.

Our Mc Riley is instantly attracted to her new neighbour Alec Wilde until she catches him in her room on a dare stealing her old bra; vowing to get revenge we see a sweet friendship and eventual romance begin to form.

I thought this would be a light-hearted read but there was depth and a secret that you are anxious to learn more about throughout the book.

Riley was a great character, she was grieving because of the death of her cousin and best friend Kaitlin, she suffers panic attacks that she struggles with. Alec was a great support for Riley, he was witty and cocky but deep down was quite the sweetheart.

Most of the side characters were likeable and played a pivotal part in the overall book, I especially liked Violet and Tiana was the least likeable. I found the relationships between the characters and both their family and friends to be written well.

A Bad Boy Stole My Bra was written well and dealt with issues such as death and anxiety, it wasn’t all light and fluffy; it had depth. What let it down for me was how built up Riley’s secret was only for it to be rushed and more or less brushed over quite quickly. Other than this, I enjoyed this title.

Thank you to Black & White Publishing via Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this title.

I absolutely loved this book!

Going into the book I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to like it or not but Lauren Price made sure that I not only liked it but loved it! She steered away from cliches and just when you thought she was going down the road of one she added more depth to the story and made you fall in love with the characters more than you ever expected.

I love the way throughout the book there's a hidden secret that you desperately want to know. The banter between Riley and Alec was amazing and to be honest all of the humorous throughout the book was great.

I could spend all day listing what I loved about this book but I would be here all year. I would recommend this book to fans of The Kissing Booth and also readers who love funny and witty books with great characters.

A Bad Boy Stole My Bra made me smile, and kept me engaged for the whole book. It was humorous and a feel good read. I enjoyed reading, and in fact read it in a day. I would recommend this to fans of teen fiction, 'chick lit' and romance books.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

I've said it time and time again, but during the summer, especially when the weather is nice and hot, like it's been in England lately with the heatwave, I adore reading cutesy contemporaries. When I saw this book on NetGalley, it seemed like the perfect summer read, and it really was - I mean, I read it all in a day, so that'll tell you how good it was. In A Bad Boy Stole My Bra, Riley is awoken one night to find a stranger in her room, climbing out the window with one of her bras. Safe to say, she's shocked to say the least. When she is actually introduced to him, he is her new neighbour, Alec, and between them both there is competition to get each other back, starting firstly with the bra. As the competition intensifies, the sparks fly, and they grow closer to one another, and start to understand just who they are.

I really enjoyed this book, and the main character, Riley. She has a hidden past, where she feels guilty about something that happened, that really wasn't her, or her ex-boyfriend's fault, but that they still blame themselves for. Because of that she is a bit apprehensive about opening up to others, especially romantically. With how her last relationship ended, when she meets Alec, though she thinks he is good looking, she can't find herself really comfortable at first with his playful flirting, but she gives as good as she gets. Once they have opened up to each other, and become really good friends, that's when Riley begins to think she might be up to the possibility of more, and, honestly, I was desperate for it to get to that stage. Their chemistry was unreal.

The side characters in the book all had their own stories, though some we learn more about than others, like Alec's friends, Chase, Joe and Dylan. There is an element of sameness to some of them, as the main plot revolves around Riley and Alec, but I did enjoy learning little bits, here and there about them. The subplot surrounding Riley's cousin Kaitlyn, and what happened to her, did keep the book from being completely fluffy, and brought a level of seriousness into the book that was probably needed to make sure it didn't get ridiculous.

I never read this book when it was on wattpad - I don't think I ever read anything on wattpad - but from what I've seen from others, it doesn't seem to have changed much since it's been published traditionally. It was predictable at times, but most YA contemporaries are - if you enjoy contemporary fiction, give this one a go.

I don't want to be harsh and I'm also probably not the target audience age-wise. However, I found myself cringing as I read this book and I didn't finish it. The writing had a self-conscious tone to it which made the attempts at humour awkward and jarring. The characters were too cool for school, including the protagonist. I could see what the author was attempting to achieve - a sort of Gilmore Girls relationship between the protagonist and her mum and a Jess-like neighbour, and I think she could do so, but she didn't achieve it in this book.

This one took me a while to get into. I was going to DNF it, but after reading a few reviews, I changed my mind and kept going. It was okay, it did pick up after a bit.

I wasn’t that’s interested at first because the characters didn’t interest me as much and I wasn’t interested in continuing it. It felt cliche and flat, but it honestly turned out okay. The characters were basic and the plot was just cliche and totally YA, but overall it wasn’t terrible, pretty enjoyable.

I rated this for its cuteness.

I needed this feel-good book! I was up all night finishing it and seriously impatient for that kiss! The wait was worth it though.

Ugh. I love all the characters. Minus Tiana that is. But all the main ones. Riley and Alec are just so ASDFGHJKL adorable. I swear I would read a whole series about these two!

This also dealt with issues though. Such as grief and anxiety which was pretty well done. Also addressing insecurities.

Would strongly recommend if you're in a reading slump.

I actually already read this book on Wattpad. I really enjoyed reading it again. I'm so glad that Lauren was able to get this book published. This book has humor, tear jerking moments and really falling in love for the first time. I highly recommend it!

Not my sort of book, but it did keep me reading until the end. It’s perfect for those who love The Kissing Booth and She’s All That.

This was a disappointment. I'd heard quite a lot about the book and it seemed like such a funny idea, but it actually fell quite flat on me and I'm not really sure why. The swear words also really put me off. I can't imagine anyone ever saying "grasshole", even a teenager with a younger brother. Just say the actual word or use a different word.

I really liked the relationships, not just between Riley and Alec (talk about a slow burn!) but also all the friendships and family relationships in the books. It was a really good set of characters and even so many of the side characters felt really real and honest.

I guess it just didn't have the humour that he title implied. It was more centred around the grief and guilt that Riley and the people around her feel about what happened to her cousin. And though that wouldn't usually put me off, I just wasn't prepared for it. I just didn't manage to engage with the book the way I do with most books.

I'm really disappointed. It wasn't a badly written but I just couldn't get into it..
