My family and I just love to laugh and so when I saw this book I got really excited about the potential of a great laughing time together. A few of the jokes are funny, some don’t make sense, and most of them we found did not make us want to laugh at all… So the challenge was easy for us to keep because they were NOT hitting our silly bones. Again we are a funny, love to laugh kind of family and so I was quite surprised by our sad reaction to this book.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I love watching try not to laugh challenges on line. The jokes in this book are perfect for kids to tell other kids or to their parents/teachers. Some really tickle the funny bone! Good book, good jokes!
There are many times in life that we need to use our sense of humor and just laugh. Having a few jokes in your back pocket gives you something to help you or someone else take a laugh break. The Try Not to Laugh Challenge Joke Book has a lot of jokes meant to be used to get someone else laughing.
Telling jokes and getting others to laugh is fun, and doing it as a game adds a bit more fun. The object of this book is to have at least two people face each other and tell the jokes to one another. If the listener laughs, the teller gets a point. The first one to score three points wins. If you can't find anyone to play with, you could always just pop the jokes into everyday conversations and give yourself points that way.
Though aimed at kids, adults can have fun with it too. The jokes range from puns to knock-knocks, groaners to good ones. They may not appeal to everyone, but even the bad puns can bring a smile to your face.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
Just an OK joke book for me but I think kids will really enjoy it. I love getting joke books for my library because it tricks kids into reading and they love it. I especially like this one for the challenge it offers at the beginning. This would be checked out quite a bit from my elementary library.
