This is the third book of the North of the Tension Line series. It is my first time reading the series. I found it interesting reading about small-town life. I found the characters enjoyable and would like to read the other three books. The part I liked was Fiona's life, the combination of yoga and goats and the way the community stood for one another.

I didn't realise this was the third book in a series when I requested it and if I had I probably wouldn't have done as I'm not a fan of diving in mid-series and I wasn't intrigued enough by the premise to seek out the first two. But luckily I didn't feel too alienated by not knowing what came before as enough was explained. But I did wonder what the heck I was reading - what's with all the goats?! And weasels?! It soon became apparent this book had a gentle quirkiness that reminded me of the TV series Northern Exposure - that pleasing mix of the mundane and the magical. The characters were oddballs and misfits but all endearing, the conflict was undemanding and the conclusions satisfying. This was a humorous, warm and easy comfort read, a great palate cleanser, with a cosy and quirky charm all of its own.

First I want to thank netgalley and the author for a an advanced copy of this book for my kindle! Requesting this book I hadn’t realized it was a third book in a series! The characters are so different! It took me a little bit to get the background and figure out whose who! When I did I fell in love with each one differently. I love small towns and stories that revolve around them! My opinion give it time and characters start to grow on you and you will also love each one! It was a slow build but this book has a little love story a little quirkiness and some mystery! Enjoy!

It took me a little while to warm to this story...so many characters to learn about. Despite what seems to be a slow buildup, the story picks up pace and successfully wraps up each storyline.

Though it may be the third book in a series, one thing is certain about this book, it's got the makings of a small town.
I was reading it on Kindle, and ten percent into the book I'd already met more than five characters and then there are many more characters, it was like a day in a small town- you meet the eccentric ones, aggressive ones, polite ones, the ones who don't say much and those who seem to know everything about everyone but themselves.
It's a good read. My take on it for any reader is to give it time, the characters really grow on you and I loved the dialogues! Thank you NetGalley for the eARC.
