Hard Glamour by Maggie Marr is the 1st book in the Glamour Series and can be read as a standalone in this new series.
Lane Channing decides to follow her dream and ends up in Los Angeles for the summer. But nothing happens like she expected things to. Her job is gone, she's completely broke and has no home. She thought she would get that " break" but nothing happens and everything goes bad for her but then she catches a break- she gets a chance to work for Dillon MacAvoy. He is a fast rising movie star, Hollywood's bad boy. He only cares for his career and his brother.
Lane becomes his script reader. The sexual tension is deep between them which one thing leads to another. Dillion isnt sure what he wants with Lane and the angst runs high in this read. Soon he has to decide, love or career for Lane isnt about to be 2nd in his life forever and the choice he makes was the wrong one. Can Dillion make things right and end up with the Hollywood ending? Can the shine still keep or will it end up tarnished by the "Hard Glamour" ? This is a good first start to a new series by Maggie Marr and the pairing of Dillion and Lane is amazing.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

Great start to this series! Is the premise something new? No, but Maggie Marr did a great job with the character development and presented the story in a way that held my interest from start to finish.

Dillon and Lane are my new romance couple! This duo endured so many ups and downs but they survived and became stronger. They make the reader believe in Happily ever after!
I loved the character Choo too! I am hoping his story is revealed in one of the next books!

When you like glitz and glamour stories about the rich and famous in Hollywood this is your book.
The writing is good and the story is entertaining.

I really enjoyed this book it was full of push and pull, I cant be with her/him but I cant fight this chemistry we have. Dillon started out as a serious jerk because he did not want to acknowledge that there might be something between him and Lane and Lane just wanted to follow her dreams and quit being hurt by Dillon's words. I extremely loved the banter between everyone especially Choo, he was my favorite. I highly recommend this book to anyone because its got a great storyline, the characters are well written, the steamy moments are sexy, and it keeps you intrigued throughout the whole story.
