Loved this book! I have followed Morgan in her previous cases and as usual, this one doesn't disappoint. This one was a little different as instead of opening with the usual crime, the opening scenes also involve Haley, the person that Morgan will be representing. Hard to explain without giving spoilers but I enjoyed the fact that Morgan, Lance and Sharp were working hard to prove Haley's innocence and work out what had happened that night. There were a couple of twists towards the end, which were well done and the ultimate one wasn't one I saw coming. Also enjoyed the dynamic between Morgan and Lance following on from the previous book. Without giving too much away, I was happy at the way that part unfolded. Another great read in the Morgan Dane series and can't wait to follow her next case!

I have been a huge Melinda Leigh fan from the start and What I've Done is another thriller to add to her impressive resume. Melinda always manages to make twists and turns in her stories so that you have no idea until the very end who REALLY did it and this book was no exception. Once you start reading her books you will not stop until you have read them all!

The fourth book in the Morgan Dane series is amazing. What I’ve Done is a complete story. The book starts with a new case and ends with Morgan Dane and her co-characters solving the case. I have only read 2 of the 4 books and I will say that I enjoyed this one more than the last because I better understood some of the characters relationships to each other and why they reacted the way they did. Yet, each book in this series can be read without any knowledge of past storylines.

With this case, Morgan is paired with Lincoln Sharp and his history. The case kept me guessing, kept me wondering, and kept me hoping that everything would work out for Haley Powell. I was intrigued by how they could possibly find out the truth when Haley had no memories and only nightmares to go on. But I knew that somehow, someway Morgan Dane, Lincoln Sharp, and PI Lance would find the needed answers to save Haley.

Melinda Leigh is a go-to romantic suspense author for me. She knows exactly how much to share without making it to romantic. There is enough romance for my heart go pitter patter a little but it never gets entirely mushy. Of course, the suspense is phenomenal. The suspense is definitely what kept me entertained and turning page after page needing to know what would happen.

What I've Done was a suspense thriller that I could not put down! Melinda Leigh is a go to author when I need a good mystery/suspense book. I get so caught up with her characters that I can feel their emotions down to my bones. Some are good, and some are just plain bad. (This is still a good thing for the reader.) You want to be able to place your self in these characters world. The story line was chilling and my wide eyes could not read fast enough to find out the truth at the end. I needed a change of my reading pace and What I've Done took me out of that reader slump. I am back into this genre and I will be keeping my eye out for more to come from Melinda Leigh. The characters were amazing and you grow to love them!

The fourth book in the Morgan Dane Series is a whodunit that will keep you guessing till the very end. Morgan & Lance work together to defend the daughter of Sharp’s old partner. And of course, find the real killer. Lots of suspense and romance had me turning the pages late into the night. This series keeps getting better and better. Especially with the ending that i didn’t see coming!

Everyone's favorite defense attorney is back in another romantic mystery from Melinda Leigh. In What I've Done, Morgan Dane is once again tasked with the impossible. Her new client is arrested for murder with no memory of the night she spent with the victim. The prosecution is piling up evidence, so with the help of PIs Lincoln Sharp and Lance Kruger Morgan has to find the truth before it's too late.

After the shocking outcome of Bones Don't Lie, I wondered how this series would continue. What I've Done is just as compelling a mystery as the previous story and even ends with a surprise. What I appreciated about this story is that there were so many possibilities to explain what happened the night Haley went home with Noah and woke up covered in blood. It seemed like the only reasonable explanation had to be something out of the box and complicated, but the truth will make you wonder how you missed it.

Morgan has come along way from the grieving widow of Say You're Sorry. Her heart has healed and made room for a love she never thought she'd find again. Lance has even shown growth in his character, but one things remains true: he will protect Morgan at every turn. I love how their relationship has blossomed even under the stress of investigation and danger. Morgan's determination to make sure her clients are protected from injustice is only part of why I keep coming back to this series. I'm so eager for the next chapter in her story and the next compelling mystery from Melinda Leigh!

This is the 4th book to the Morgan Dane series. This story follows Haley Powell, who wakes up one morning and sees a trail of blood and ultimately finds the body of a man who bled out. A man who lives in the house that she woke up in with now memory of how she got there or what she did. Haley is the daughter of a close friend of Sharp, one of the PI’s that Morgan works for and so she takes the case in defending her because everything seems to clean cut, almost that Haley was framed. This is a really fast paced story, following the twists and turns that come with this story and uncovering who is framing Haley and wants to shut her up so she takes the fall for what happened.
Another great story by Leigh, I can’t wait until the 5th book comes out!

This is the fourth book in the Morgan Dane series, I have not read the first three but will remedy that straight away I so enjoyed this well crafted story with a cast of great characters.
Morgan a widowed mother of three Is a defence attorney, asked by her friend Lincoln Sharp a retired police officer to take on a case involving the daughter Hayley of an old friend.
Hayley had been out to a bar and left with Noah, after that she remembers nothing but wakes up in a strange bed covered in blood, she finds Noah dead from a multiple stabbing in his kitchen. As far as the police are concerned it's an open and shut case, Hayley is the murderer and they don't intend to investigate further.
With the help of her boyfriend Lance who is a private investigator Morgan is determined to find out the truth of what really happened that night. With great detective work they find a multiple of holes in the prosecutors case, but need to prove them.
A wonderful book, well written and engrossing, thoroughly recommended.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for opportunity to review this book.

Great story, very intricate plot, the solving of one murder leading to the resolve of two earlier cases. Well worth reading, look forward to further Morgan Dane stories.

Haley wakes up covered in blood and finds her evening romp Noah stabbed and dead.
She wakes up confused and disorientated with little to no recollection of the night before. She doesn’t know what happened or if she did it.

This book sucked me in without reading any of the previous novels in the series and I was still able to follow along with the characters and the story just fine.

Morgan Dane is a great character. She is a recently turned defense attorney but she definitely cares about people. She takes the case as a favor to a friend, Lincoln Sharp who feels like he owes Haley’s dead father who was also his old partner before he was killed in the line of duty.

This book is full of twists and turns and you don’t really know what happened until the end. I really enjoyed this and will read more from the series.

This is the fourth book in this series, and each one is better than the last.

Morgan Dane is an attorney, widowed, mom of 3 little girls, and caretaker of her grandfather, who raised her. She is highly ethical, focused and dedicated to her family.

Lance Kruger is a private investigator and Morgan’s boyfriend. He is smart, kind, loyal, protective and very good at what he does. He loves Morgan’s family as his own. He watches over his own mom who has mental health issues.

Lincoln Sharp is a retired cop turned private investigator. He took Lance and his mom under his wings when Lance’s dad disappeared when he was a young boy. He is a health fanatic, eating only organic, concocting many different protein shakes and herbal teas as he sees the need arise.

Morgan, Sharp and Lance share an office and work well together as a team. Grandpa helps out at times with cases, doing detail work, taking advantage of his work history (retired cop) and connections. Lance’s mom is a computer whiz and helps out with background checks and more.

A woman from Sharp’s past comes into the office, asking for help for her daughter who has been accused of murder. The evidence against her is quite convincing. The team goes to work against high odds of proving her innocent. So many unforeseen twists and turns, several not so nice people and the intrigue just keeps on going.

This author does an excellent job of weaving her tales without getting distracted by too much extraneous detail. This book definitely focuses more on the suspense than the romance. Lance and Morgan are an established couple and you feel it in all their interactions. I would have liked to seen more from these two, but realize in the real world it would be a very fine balancing act between work and her kids. Lance gets that and makes it work. Very mature relationship.

I loved learning about Lincoln Sharp in this book. I was also happy to see he is going to get a love interest. Of the two possibilities presented, I figured out which one would be chosen, and am very excited for Sharp.

As soon as I finish one book in this series I start anticipating the next one. Start with book one, you won’t be disappointed.

In this fourth Morgan Dane romantic thriller, we once again find Morgan and her boyfriend, P.I. Lance, working a case that has a connection to someone they know. The book opens with a young woman, Haley Powell, waking up with blood on her hands and feet, and a blood trail from the bedroom she is sleeping in through the hallway and to a dead body. She remembers nothing that happened after leaving a bar with the victim. We also learn about the death of Lincoln Sharp's partner years earlier when he was a cop. He promised his dying partner that he would take care of his family. Haley, is his daughter.

Morgan was a former prosecutor but she is now on the other side of the courtroom taking on cases as a defense attorney. This book actually has her in court defending a man who has some issues with anger management, much to Morgan's detriment. Morgan is a tough as nails lead who is backed by her P.I. partners who are also very likable. She is also extremely smart, which balances the brawn from the men. The romance between Morgan and Lance has been a slow build over the previous books, kept in the background of some intense cases with plenty of action in the investigations. There’s just the right amount of questioning suspects, following clues and forensics to give it a realistic feel with some great twists and turns along the way. With every new case Morgan works with her former high school boyfriend turned P.I., Lance Kruger.

What I’ve Done by Melinda Leigh is a great addition to the romantic suspenseful Morgan Dane series. Each book in the series features a new case to solve so they could be read as standalone however, there is a lot of character development and background that carries over book to book so I would recommend reading it in order. This is a wonderful series that I have breezed through as I can't wait to see what is next for this trio. I recommend it to lovers of mystery, crime, and romantic suspense.

M/F Thriller
Triggers: Rape and Murder

I have read all of the books in this series and this one is just as good.

Morgan is again, fighting against a tough situation for her client. Haley woke up covered in blood with no recollection of what happened the previous night. With the mountain of evidence against her, can Morgan find a way to save her?

In this story, we follow on a trail of a messy case. Haley is suffering from amnesia and the protesters are hot on their trail. Throw in friends of the victim holding back, brother of the victim throwing all he's got to stave off his own grief and it's just a mess of accidents, sabotage, and murder.

Morgan and her team pull a thread that starts them on a path that exposes them to a crazy killer. Without giving too much away, let's just say it is much more than it appears. I am loving this series and can't wait for more.

This is a new to me series and I have to admit I read the three previous books over the weekend before, devouring this one in one sitting.

Morgan Dane is a force to be reckoned with but is as fragile as the rest of us. She's learning that she can depend on Lance Kruger, the former police officer turned private investigator for more than just business.

In the fourth installment, Ms. Leigh skillfully intertwines Morgan and Lance's growing romance with the latest case that lands on their doorstep. In this instance, it's an old friend of Sharp's that needs help defending her daughter against a murder rap.

Haley Powell woke up in the bed of her crush, Noah. Feeling out of sorts, she got out of bed to discover that she was covered in blood and that Noah's body was in the backyard. She doesn't remember much from the night before, or how she ended up at Noah's place, it appears to the local police that she's guilty.

Morgan, along with Lance and Sharp, set out to find out what really happened the night that Noah was murdered. Interviews with the witnesses and friends paint a poor picture of Haley but Morgan feels that there is something off about the whole thing. Digging deeper into the muck only brings danger to Morgan and Lance on more than one front.

The closer they get to solving the mystery of the Friday night that changed Haley's life, they must also contend with Morgan's stalker and a firebug out to get Lance.

I thoroughly enjoy this series and can't wait to read more about Morgan and Lance.

This series just keeps getting better! I read this fourth book in a single sitting, refusing to go to sleep until I solved the murder. While I did finally manage to piece together some bits of the whodunnit, I love that the last few twists took me completely by surprise.

This is the kind of murder mystery that makes me really anxious. It starts with an impossible situation and just gets worse. As evidence piles up, it starts to seem like an impossible task for Morgan to prove her client’s innocence. At about the halfway point – right about the time Morgan and her team started to question their own assumptions – I didn’t trust anyone. The author builds tension perfectly in this story – while completely messing with my head.

Beyond the murder mystery, Morgan’s personal life also takes some interesting twists. Morgan’s client is a family friend of Sharp’s and we get to learn more about another dark period in Sharp’s police career. Once again, Morgan balances her family responsibilities with a difficult case – and tries to fit her relationship with Lance into her already complicated life. I love the way Morgan alternates between single mum everywoman moments and badass superhero strength – sometimes on the same page.

There are a few moments at the end that made me fear this might be the last book in the series and I’m really hoping I’m wrong. I’ve come to love the Morgan Dane stories and I’m already eager for the next one.

Wow Melinda Leigh sure knows how to keep you really engrossed. I ended up staying up really late, as I just had to find out how the story ended. Imagine waking up covered in blood, not knowing where you are. Or what happened the previous night. That's exactly what happens to Haley. Morgan Dane takes the case on as favor for her private investigator friend. As Morgan works the case someone doesn't want her to find out what happened. Rocks are thrown through car window screens and petrol bombs too. Time is running out, can Morgan keep Haley out of jail and find out who is behind it all?
If you love romantic suspense, I highly recommend checking out this series.
