Thrilling story with a plot that kept me turning the pages, really well written with great characters. Highly recommend to everyone who is a fan of this genre.
Love this series and can't wait to read more of it , with that said I want to say thanks Netgalley for letting me read it and review it in change for my honest opinion.
I sure would like to meet a Joe Buckhorn. There is lots of excitement with the cattle rustling and range war going on in thus book. Johnstone does an excellent job writing the old west.
Johnstone books are guaranteed to keep the reader enthralled as his characters ride into trouble with guns blazing to save the day...and usually the girl. This book is no exception. A new chapter in the Buckhorn series, Joe Buckhorn accepts a job to track down a missing son. Along the way he battles cattle rustlers while saving the daughter of the rustler's leader. Confusing? No, just another excellent book by the Johnstones.
For anyone who enjoys a good western you can't go wrong with this novel. Ending was slightly disappointing without the hero versus bad guy you might have expected. But apart from that there was plenty of action throughout. Not quite a Louis L'Amour but almost as good.
We love westerns around here and Johnstone is one of our favorites. My husband has read every book he has written. I don’t think the books are as good as when William was alive and writing on his own but we are hanging in determined to read all his books
