A wonderful craft mystery, engaging heroine in Savannah and a whirlwind plot that keeps you guessing. I enjoyed the other books in this series and am happy to say the series is going strong with new releases. Enjoyed a look into the art of glass blowing, something that has always interested me. And the cruise ship setting was a nice touch. Definitely a fun read!

Decepti9n, intrigue and mysterious disappearances. are an intrical part of the carefully woven plot of this story. The addition of a cruise ship and a craft/occupation that I've never heard explored continue to add to the plot. The characters are loveable to a fault. The plot kept me reading well into the night and read like that of a movie.

I cannot wait to read the next installment!

Savannah Webb accepts a job on a cruise ship to fill in for a glass blower. She arranges for her boyfriend Edward to come along and after stopping in to see his family, his younger cousin, Ian, comes along for the cruise. Ian d is appears so much of Savannah's off hours are spent trying to find him. Did he go overboard? Is her still here? Is he hiding for some reason?

This was fun because of the look at the other side of cruising - the crew rules and regulations, etc. The characters are still fun and it was great to see the ones left behind at home still got to take part in the investigation.

Savannah Web reminds me of Meg Langslow except that Savannah works with glass but both are amazing craftswomen. So if you've like Donna Andrews series you are sure to be (glass)blown away by Cheryl Hollon's. Great storyline and excellent cast of characters even some real world issue such as depression. This is your typical cozy which I adore and what a unique setting, a cruise ship with a glassblowing exhibition. As a result of reading this book I not only have found a new series to read, I have added the Hot Glass on board demonstration cruise experience to my bucket list. I cannot wait to see what is next for Savannah and her sexy Pub owner boyfriend, Edward.

I enjoy this series by Cheryl Hollon about glass blowing . This cozy series is also progressing in the romance department as Savannah and Edward are going to England to meet his family before going on a cruise with them where Savannah will be demonstrating Glass blowing techniques to the passengers. When a fellow glass expert is found dead it's a shock when they think Edward is the prime suspect. A good mystery with lots of cruising tips. This is book 5 in the Webb Glass Shop series and it's a good one. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

What another amazing addition to the Webb's Glass Shop Mystery series! I have loved this series from the very beginning and I am happy to see that the series as a whole keeps getting better and better! I was worried that when I read the setting of this book that I wouldn't get to see all of my favorite characters in the story, but Cheryl blends all of the characters into the story beautifully and showcases a bit of everyone's lives and what they are doing. And in the end it was fun to see some of our favorite characters get a break from their usual setting and see the life at sea! As usual, the story and mystery are well developed and the writing is superb! I love learning all of the different glass techniques and in this book we get to see a completely new one with glass blowing. Also at the end of the book is some really great insider glass information and a glossary of terms. I will end this review by saying that I loved the way this book ends, but I am not spoiling it for you, you will have to read it yourself to see that part! I can't wait until the next venture back to see what adventures the gang get into next!

I really enjoy Webb's Glass Shop Mysteries, and this one did not disappoint. This story leaves Florida and takes place on the high seas. Glass shop owner Savannah Webb takes a job on a cruise ship for a series of artistic glassblower demonstrations. Before boarding the ship, Savannah and Edward stop in England to visit with his parents and meet the rest of his family. His cousin Ian, has just graduated from University and his parents have gifted him this cruise. No sooner do they board the ship when Ian goes missing. Ian checked in and then vanished. Cruise ship security suspect Ian jumped overboard, but Savannah doesn’t believe he’d take his life. She enlists her friends to aid her in tracking his movements. When Edward is arrested for his disappearance and possible murder, Savannah steps up her investigation calling in her employees over the internet to do what they do best. Was Edward imagining things when he spotted a thug from his past on the ship’s deck? Why has he never shared his shady past with Savannah?

The mystery unfolds amidst glassblowing details and trips to the ship’s buffet. There was a few spots that were a bit slow, but overall this was a well-paced story. I loved that the twins came on the cruise as well and we learned a bit more about them. They were also more involved in this story than in past ones. This light-hearted mystery will have you yearning to go on a cruise and perhaps learn more about glass blowing. Shattered at Sea is a delightful cozy mystery that will keep you turning pages.

Glass Shop Owner Savannah Webb goes to England to meet her boyfriend Edward's family and to book a working cruise from there. Savannah is going to create works of glass art with a couple others in daily workshops throughout the cruise that will be auctioned off to charity at the end of the week. Unfortunately, Edward's cousin Ian who came on the cruise with them ends up missing and Savannah and Edward set about digging through Edward and Ian's troublemaking childhood to find that the mystery on board ties in with that past. Now Savannah has to solve the mystery with Edward and her friends' help beofre it's too late for the cousins.
I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review, all comments are my own.

3.5 stars rounded up.

This was not my favorite book in the series. I had a hard time getting into it and it didn't keep my attention very well, which is unusual, because I really enjoy this series. In fact, the book before this one, I think was my favorite out of the series so far.

We're still spending time with our favorite characters, Savannah and Edward. We even get to see some of our favorite secondary characters like the Rosenberg sisters. Amanda and Jacob are a still a part of the story, just more on the peripheral edge.

The setting is a cruise ship and maybe that was part of my problem, I don't know. Every other book I've read set on a cruise ship, I haven't really enjoyed either. So maybe that was my problem with it.

The plot line was decent. I knew who the villain was before it was announced, but there were still red herrings. I did thoroughly enjoy the ending tho!

I still recommend it if you enjoy this series, it's just not my favorite of the bunch.

This series just keeps getting better and better!! This time Savannah has been offered the chance to be a temporary glass worker on a gorgeous cruise ship. Despite qualms about leaving her businesses in the hands of her workers she decides to go. Edward comes along as well so she can visit his family in England along the way plus his cousin Ian is going too. Things start out smoothly until Ian disappears with Edward being the main suspect. Savannah has to save her man though showing her investigator skills yet again with a few surprise twists. The glass details in these books maze me every time and I learn something new making me wish I had these skills. Combine that with the great characters and well written mystery to get a cozy that everyone really must read. I completely loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Shattered at Sea is the 5th installment in this series. This series is normally set in St. Petersburg Florida, however, in this book Savannah is hired as a replacement to demonstrate glass blowing on a Mediterranean Cruise. One of the perks of this as they can fly to London and meet Edward’s family and his cousin Ian is going to join them on the cruise. She is surprised that Rachel and Faith Rosenburg (the twins) are also on the cruise. Edward’s cousin Ian disappears and at first it is believed to be either suicide or an accident as he had been drinking heavily. Savannah is trying to find Ian and continue her obligations as a glass blower. The disappearance becomes a murder and although not the deepest of motives to get murdered it still was sold and I did enjoy this book. This is my first book that I have read in this series and the author does a nice job of laying out relationships and such that you can enjoy this as a stand alone. I will definitely be going back to get the first four in the series to catch up so I will be ready for the next one when it comes out. Good read.

Princess Fuzzypants here: My parents are on a Mediterranean cruise. I hope theirs is less adventurous than Savannah’s. She is a guest instructor and her beau, Edward, booked to share her free moments in a super romantic place. It is bad enough that Edward’s cousin Ian is tagging along as a gift for graduating University. Do not worry he is not around long enough to be a fifth wheel as he disappears the first night of the cruise. The ship’s security think he jumped overboard but neither Savannah nor Edward nor the elderly twin groupies who follow Savannah around think this is the case. There are some terribly dark aspects to his youth, some that he shared with Edward. It all comes out and security finally figures out first that not only is her missing but that Savannah and Edward are capable allies in figuring out what is going on, but only after there is a real murder.
I like these books as there is lots of texture and complexity without being too clever. It makes a good combination for an enjoyable read. I also enjoy the sequences where Savannah is blowing her glass. I find that particular art form fascinating. It is a skill I could never attempt. Kitties lack opposable thumbs.
There is a rhythm to the books which has been building since the first one. I am sure you could pick this one up as a one-off and still enjoy it but there are some interesting character developments that are a treat for fans of the series. I would say start at the beginning and work you way through.
I give five purrs and two paws up.

Title: Shattered at Sea

Author: Cheryl Hollon

Series: A Webb’s Glass Shop Mystery book 5

Chapters: 25

Pages: 264

Genre: cozy mystery

Rating: 4 stars

Shattered at Sea by Cheryl Hollon is the 5th book in the A Webb's Glass Shop Mystery in which Savannah is doing glass blowing as part of a cruise. In which her boyfriend Edward and some of his family including his cousin Ian are a part off. Getting back into glass blowing shows Savannah just how much she missed glass blowing. But then Ian disappears at first the the ship's security thinks that it was suicide. But then Edward becomes the prime suspect. But there's no body.
Savannah is determine to not only find Ian but prove Edward's innocence. She may have solved 4 previous mysteries but she's never done without her team or on the high seas.
Shattered at Sea expect for a few chapters is completely set on the ship. This one was the fastest paced of the A Webb's Glass Shop. I finished it in one setting I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

A destination vacation becomes available along with an opportunity to work aboard a cruise ship.
Savannah had trained in glassblowing and dreamed of working onboard a ship before her life got sidetracked when she took over her father's glass business.
This opportunity also offers a chance to get to know her boyfriend, Edward's, family better. Together, they visit his family home, celebrate his cousin's graduation, and are planning on spending time with cousin Ian on the cruise, a gift from his parents.
They did not expect for the Rosenberg twins to be aboard ship or for a less savory element of Edward's past to be revealed. Ian is lost to them after the first night afloat. Could any of this have to do with a curse over breaking crockery?
The bad luck seems to affect not only shipboard life but also life back home.

Characters we've watched grow and build relationships in previous books pull together to protect loved ones and solve Ian's disappearance. Secrets abound!
I found the glass blowing descriptions fascinating. I need to spend more time in glass shops and museums near me.

The only part I did not feel satisfied with was my tension towards and anger over the onboard security members. I still think there are secrets there to be revealed.
However since Savannah and company were only cruising for a week, and next time will be back on dry land, I will let that go and look forward to the next book.

Offered the opportunity to demonstrate her glassblowing skills aboard a Mediterranean cruise, Savannah Webb not only agrees but brings her beau Edward along for the cruise. Of couse, he will be rooming with his cousin, Ian, who's celebrating his graduation. Secrets from their childhood are exposed when Ian goes missing after the first night at sea. Savannah draws help from her investigating posse on board and back in St. Pete. Another entertaining book in one of my favorite series.

This series just keeps getting better! Thanks Net Galley and the publisher for an ARC. I so enjoy this cozy series and I loved the fact that this one took place on a cruise ship - a nice change of location! The characters are well developed and I am looking forward to the next book!!!

This is the 5th installment of this popular mystery series based on glass blowing. I find each book in series fascinating and I learn much about my favorite subject of glass blowing. Each book in the series is intriguing and fun to read.
In this next in series our protagonist Savannah is on a cruise ship to teach glass blowing. I loved the setting of the sea and the ship descriptions made me feel as if I were on the ship . Savannah is glad to get back to her craft and share her talents with other glass patrons on the ship.
The mystery was so different from the previous books and I enjoyed that aspect of the mystery. I liked that all of the members of the Webb's Glass Shop team were included in the sleuth to some degree. . Savannah and Edward are getting along as their relationship grows even when he is accused of murder on board! . . The sleuth was well crafted and had many clues along the way. I am looking forward to the next book!

Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the ARC.

Shattered At Sea is the 5th in this series of books and unfortunately I had not read any of the previous books in the series so it was a bit hard for me to follow the characters having not had prior knowledge of the other books in the series. I thought this book started out a bit slow and seemed to be a tad confusing to me. I did however enjoy learning about the Glass Blowing and thought the author did a great job with that aspect of the book. I'm was expecting this to be a murder mystery but it turned out to be something different so again for me it was slightly disappointing. Perhaps if I had read the other books first in the series this one might have been a better read for me. - I do think the author describes things well and that the characters are interesting enough. I would like to read more of her work but make sure that I catch the beginning books first as this was not what I consider a "stand on it's own" type of story.

This is the fifth in the Webb's Glass shop series and I have mixed feeling about it. I've read the previous mysteries and, I must admit, I was expecting a murder straight out of the gate. When it became obvious that this was more missing person than finding a corpse. I had to shift my thinking. Truth to tell, I didn't much care for the missing cousin, Ian. Setting that disappointment aside, I was very happy with the addition of the Rosenburg Twins, Savannah Webb's "groupies" from home. Those two seniors are wonderful. Learning about glass blowing, especially how to manage it on board a cruise ship, was fascinating.
While this entry wasn't my favorite of the series, it as still a good mystery, just not what I expected. That is on me, not the fault of the author. I know I will be looking forward to the next mystery with Savannah and Webb's Glass Shop.
