"If you can fake it you've got it made" you will read but there is no faking this is a great read. I was dubious with the V.W. string but the story that builds around Nguyen Chinh and Vincent first, then bringing Clay into the mix was very well done and held my attention.
Just as there are three character views there are three threats coming at old Vincent from different directions. Good action scenes, no over the top 'bull-fu' and I liked the suspense. Read on people.
The strange tattoo on the wrist of a soldier in Vietnam is the focal point for this story of revenge, treachery, relationships and crime. The cast of characters is quite diverse, including Vietnamese, Chinese, Italian Mafia, and a broad range of Americans. ,Actually, the main character in the story is Vince Taggart, owner of the titular tattoo. and crooked businessman. The book casts a good light on the relationships between the major players and does a good job of analyzing the motivations on all sides. I received an ARC through Netgalley which had a number of txt problems which I presume will be edited out prior to publication, so I can't comment on the style of writing. The coverage of details varied greatly depending on the items being described. The dominant theme could well be Karma as circumstances continue to throw the characters together.
