Lots of intrigue in this title which takes you around parts of the world.
Character development was good and the story line kept me hooked.
Enjoyed this book a lot. It was well paced, good storyline (even though it was a predictable "villain" in the end. I enjoyed the political relevancy, the dip into the science behind the tech, and there was just enough romance to complete everything. It was written well, the chapters flowed, clean overall, and I would read it again.
I thought this was a very good action/thriller. Sometimes thrillers are too far-fetched in an effort to be interesting. This is not one of those books. Part NCIS, part James Bond, it is written in a way that was easy for me to picture the action. The action is all fairly plausible and the characters are realistic. There wasn't a lot of depth to anything, but that's okay in an action book. The plot was filled with intrigue and fast paced. I don’t want to say anything particular about the plot, because it unfolds in a natural way, and it would be like giving away the middle of a movie. This is the third in a series, but reading the previous two isn’t necessary to understand what’s going on. If anything, they might give a little more insight into a few of the characters. I enjoyed this one, and I’ll definitely be going back and reading the first two. A solid 3.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial, and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A gripping thriller which moves from North America to Europe. Apparently the third in a series. I haven't read the previous two and found I didn't need to as it held up on its own. I now actually want to go and read the first two anyway. I'm looking forward to more from this author.
Mark and Kate have been working on Pegasus for a couple of years. The tests are good and to celebrate they go for an overnight on his boat. Just in time they escape the boat before it is blown up. Along about the same time as their rescue from the water the submarine is being stolen from his facility. Mark calls Icy who calls Eddie Grant once they figure out the sub is in Europe. The CIA works on their end to find out here it has gone. Eddie bring in his contacts and Mark & Kate do their part. Who has it ? Where is it? What do they want with it? These are all questions that need an answer and they story will take you there as you are glued to your seat wondering what will happen next.
I definitely can recommend this book because it is action packed and isn't really that far fetched.
I feel like I needed to read the previous books to enjoy this one. To me it was just fluff and I read about 5 chapters. I just could not get into it.
I am sorry to say but this was yet another book to be added to 'discarded' pile. I gave it a good try. I have read 15% of it and left it at that.
A spy novel? A crime novel? A traveler's diary? An essay on Paris streets, bridged, cafes and food? What is it? If it is a spy novel, the spy is hidden very well. 15% into the book and no sign of the main character. Too many words that could have been deleted at the first editing. Too many descriptions that have no bearing on the plot or narrative. And again, what is the plot? What is the point.
May be these books have their own readers (being third book in the series) something must have worked. However, I am not that reader.
Great book. This high tech thriller was a real page turner. Loved the evolution of the characters and their different relationships. Lots of intrigue. The concept is brilliant, with treacherous political fanatics, somewhat naive inventors and the struggle to keep corruuption from winning the end game. First read by this author, won't be my last.
