I am a huge fan of The Onion and John McNamee's cartoons so I was delighted to be able to get my hands on this book. Funny from start to finish. I really enjoyed it.

A highly enjoyable collection of comics. The drawing style is cute and harmless, while the plot of the individual strips portrays a subversive sarcastic streak. Each comic is 1-2 pages long and completely hilarious. A few of them even made be laugh out loud. It was a new experience to read individual comics in a collection format like that. I tend to enjoy more of a storyline format, but overall an entertaining read.

These comics were so funny. Re-telling and do-overs of fairy tales, along with just random shorts, made for a very entertaining read.

Despite the description and my optimism going into this based on the cover, I was not able to really enjoy the comics. They were disjointed and the humour just didn't appeal to me in any way. The illustrations started out as cute, but as I got further into the book and more annoyed with the actual humour, I started to turn against them.

I'm sure that there is a perfect audience for this comic, but it wasn't me.

A few of these were funny, and I liked the art style. But in the end the tastelessness of the language and treatment of religious figures kept me from finishing. Thanks Netgalley for the free sample.

I loved revisiting childhood fairy tales through this book. Each page added a fun twist to some tale or the other. Sure, I did forget most of them 5 days after I read the book, but it is still fun to flip through the book and landing on a funny strip. I looked for the instagram account for piecomics but couldn't find it. Would love to read these little strips every day, if possible!
Definitely check this book out for some snorts and smiles.

A few made me laugh at loud but I would have loved more of a through-line. The individual comics may strike some readers but it felt easier for me to set it down and forget about it.

It's extremely amusing!

It's not only Goldilock, but I also met Sleeping Beauty, Godzila, and Harry Potter inside. I like how the author turns the real story into something funny. Although I can not recognize some of the characters, I still enjoy reading it.

This is a graphic novel for adult audiences - even though it looks like it could be for kids. It is full of one-twp pages comic strips about various things like fairy tales retold, pop culture, and overall culture. It is really funny and very quick to read through. A few of these comics I have seen online and it was great to see them all together as a collection. I think this would make for a great coffee table book or if you are really into sarcasm and macabre things - just a book for your overall collection.

The comics deal with death, religion, social norms and plays on the fairy tales that point out just how skewed they were/are. It is a great one to pick up and flip through.

A fun collection of comics. I am not familiar with the authors work before this, but there were a few really clever jokes and a lot of good pop culture references.

** I was given an ARC of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I truly liked it :) Some stories are pure perfection! It's both adorable and so harsh. Amazing combination. Thanks, #Netgalley :)

This was a laugh from start to finish. Short comics regarding various fairy stories and myths rewritten with a great sense of humour.

Goldilocks and the Infinite Bears is a cute and amusing series of comics. I really enjoyed the pop culture, religious and sci-fi references. I loved the twists on old stories and like that the author comic's mind has similar ideas as mine.
I really enjoyed this and would recommend this to my friends!

This is a collection of one and two page comic strips that were obviously created by someone who worked at the Onion. Almost every page is genuinely funny, and many of the comics were actually "LOL" funny for me. There is a lot of humor around contemporary perspectives on mythological or historical contexts, like "The Romans had a god for everything." is met by the god of eye crust and the god of atheism. Goldilocks finds herself in a hell for porridge thieves, infinite bowls of porridge, something wrong with each of them. It is a really funny book that would be really successful on a coffee table or waiting room, where someone can pick it up and read 1-3 pages at a time.

This is cute and funny. The illustration is shorthand (probably) so it is not that amazing but it is still adorable. The scenarios, topics, and stories make it much more likeable.

I really enjoyed the humor in this one and would definitely recommend this collection to my friends and family looking for a good clean laugh.

There’s no defining plot to these hilarious bits of insanity; this is more like those one-panel strips that have a slice of life, except these are longer. None of that matters, as this is one of the funniest books I’ve ever read.
On to the best jokes.
Right off the bat I laugh at the joke that names this collection: how cold the porridge is, and how many there are, and why.
Frogs can do anything with social media.
“I like my glass a little stained.” What started off as a bit of social commentary turned into a well-crafted and slightly naughty joke. Awesome.
“East Hell?” Sure.
Some of these are more incredibly clever than LOL funny, like the Shakespeare lost opportunities.
“Aw, I’m their boo!” I can picture Trump in that role.
That thing about certain badly-named animals. . . totally me.
Yep, don’t trust that road-crossing chicken!
Puppies are so an element.
I admit I had the same thought about Little Red Riding Hood.
Murder-spikes and rainbow tails of pain. Perfect.
Totally get the Rudolph thing.
The dragon that barfs peanut butter could get a job anywhere, even if it is chunky. . . especially since it’s chunky.
“Let me check the rescue/sexual favor exchange rate first.”
Something felt really good inside when I read the blurb on the back and saw that the author writes for The Onion.

I love all things cheesy and terrible and great. This is one of them. It had me laughing out loud while eating lunch alone and wanting to show different pages to specific friends and family. Definitely not one for all audiences, but it was right up my alley.

This one tickled my funny bone - I love the simple illustration style and knew I would just from seeing the front cover. The sketches are concise and genuinely funny (sometimes a bit crude!) spins on parables and fairytales.

This collection of comics, usually literature related, was just not for me. It’s not my type of humor. There were a few strips that put a smile on my face, but most, not so much. My favorite strips are probably Humpty Dumpty and the Mirror on the Wall.
