Four different women of color that broke barriers and because of growing up during the civil rights movement, became the next generation of women of color that have a passion for politics. I really enjoyed reading about these women, their history, and the people they've come in contact with.

I highly recommend this book. There aren't very many women of color in politics. There weren't very many black women in any of my classes or that were accepted into my law school. I truly appreciate books like this because representation matters so much especially to young black women.

Wow. For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics allows women of color to be free and voice their concerns and opinions. This book allows women to say what they mean and mean what they say. If you are a sensitive person who does not allow yourself to be open-minded, this is not the book for you.

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics would make for a good book club read or a book used in a Political Science class or Political Communication class. Great job.
