such a great book. not a great amount of action but answered so many question and as usual raised more.
Oh how I love Donna Grant and all her series and The Dark Kings are my favorite to follow. Each release gets better and better and Dragonfire is great. This one is about Dragon King Roman. He is helping V find his missing sword. Roman feels V’s sword is in Romania so they fly there to start their search. They meet our heroine Sabina right away with her brother Camlo. Soon all four team up to hep V find his sword that come to find out Sabina ancestors stole.
The story keeps a nice pace. We get to see old players in between furthering their story line. Usaeils downfall is coming. Balladyn wants Rhi more than ever and of course we don’t find out who Rhi’s king is yet. We all know who it is so unless DG throws in a curveball we’ll probally be waiting till the end of the series to get their book last.
I love this series and can’t wait for the next one. Highly recommended.
I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my honest review. This was my first book by this author and I was really impressed. There’s a mix of dragons, gypsies, Fae and druids in this action/ intrigue story that keeps you on your toes. Roman is a Dragon King who’s helping his friend find something that was stolen from him. Along the way he meets Camlo who’s half gypsy and his sister Sabina. While sparks start to fly between Roman and Sabina the four are off on a quest to find the stolen item. The strength and gentleness of Sabina was amazing and the love she has for Roman is strong. There’s not too many romance scenes between the two but plenty of action with all the characters . My only complaint was that there’s a lot of background details that were a little hard to follow at times since I was new to the series, however I really enjoyed the series and would recommend this for others. 4.5 stars.
Roman is a Dragon King who is helping another Dragon King, V, find his sword. They go to his homeland in Romania and stumble across a man who talks to animals. Sabina comes from a long line of gypsies and has the Sight but doesn’t use it. She has been taking care of her brother since their parents died. He is a man with a child’s mind and he talks to the animals.
V doesn’t remember how is sword was stolen but when he touches Camlo, he gets a little bit of his memories back. Now they are off to Iceland, where Roman is from and the group flies there. They come to a big mountain but Roman and Sabina are the ones who have to go hunt for the sword. They are faced with several obstacles but together they can do anything.
I don’t want to give too much away but this is an excellent story. You have dragons, faes, druids, and Others. A dragon who finds his mate and a gypsy who has been alone for way too long. You don’t want to miss this book.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
What a wonderful book. The premise is V's sword was stolen from him many centuries ago. He has mostly been sleeping since then, as without his sword he will go mad. Plus his sword is special as it can call the other dragons.
His friend Roman is helping him find it this time. They run across a simple man and his sister and find out they know where his sword is (general vacinity). The two siblings are part gypsy and both have special abilities. I love that Camlo can hear and talk to all animals. They have told him much of what he knows about the sword. Roman is attracted to the sister Sabina and they end up having quite a few adventures. The book moved along quite swiftly and I had trouble putting it down. There are lots of adventures and you learn much about the dragon community. There are more books in this series that I am looking forward to.
Donna Grant for the win.....again! She never disappoints! A must read in Grant's epic continuation of the Dragon Kings series! Roman didn't expect to fall for the spirited Gypsy with soft skin and lips to die to for. Forced to return home, Roman knows evil awaits and bringing this intriguing beauty with him only means danger but soon Roman and V realize that she is the key to finding the lost! Love, passion, lost and found, answers, questions and danger. I can't wait for the next book.
Donna Grant's Dragon Kings are a force to be reckoned with. This story is so intricate and captivating that it keeps you glued to the pages. As the story gets more complicated and exciting so does the story or Roman and Sabina. I can't wait for the next book and another glance at the truth behind the curtain.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Love Donna Grants work and can not wait until the next book in the series.
