Great romantic read with low drama. Fast paced novel with a great build world. Perfect read for an afternoon. Arc provided by Netgalley
Monica Blair never imagined the man she loved would steal from her and marry another woman before she had a chance to say "I Do."
Matthew Caster has one job, to take the crazy woman in a bridal gown away from his sister's wedding as quick as possible.
This book is fun, flirty, and packs a lot of spice into a great bookcation read. If you love strangers to lovers, fake marriage, revenge, spicy, cowboys and damsels in distress go read this.
Kick back, put on your cowboy boots and pour a glass of lemonade. It's time to head out to a ranch and have a whole lot of fun.
Heidi Betts' One Wedding, Two Brides was fantastic. I truly enjoyed reading this book from the very first page.
A fun, witty story! Monica and Ryan were back and forth a lot, but it made for a good tale. Opposites attract, right? I'll be looking for more from Heidi Betts.
One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts
Book #1: Fairy Tale Bride Series

My Rating: 3/5 stars
Monica Blair is having none of her shady ex-fiancé getting a happily ever after! After all her planning, buying, arranging, and being totally stoked about her future with her fiancé, Monica is ready for a little retribution. For Monica Blair, a generally spirited yet not crazy photographer, her form of retribution is to have her own happily ever after, RIGHT NOW!
With a bit too much alcohol, one smoking hot wedding dress, and a half-cocked plan, Monica shows up at her ex’s wedding reception and makes a complete and utter fool of herself. To be sure, Monica’s show was quite the sight, but all it earns her is a trip out of the reception hall over the shoulder of seriously hot cowboy. It is during that moment, while trying not to puke when the rest of her crazy plan make its presences known. Why not marry the hot cowboy and make her ex crazy jealous?
Ryder Nash has 99 problems and a crazy, drunk woman is absolutely one of them! What’s more, the crazy lady has an insane plan to get married, make her ex crazy, and pay Nash a ton of money for his involvement. With a financially failing ranch, too many overdue notices to count, and a dream that is fading faster by the day, Nash sees the crazy lady’s plan as relatively insane and hard to explain to his family and friends, but an opportunity to save his ranch and all the animals he cares for. Sometimes, a little bit of crazy is exactly what a cowboy needs in his life.
Once the alcohol and the intensity of the moment has passed, both Monica and Nash wake up to the reality of their shared situation. Once she’s sober, Monica drops a bombshell on Nash: not only doesn’t she have the money she promised him, but the money has been stolen by her devious ex, the same guy now married to Nash’s sister. Between the two of them, yet another crazy plan is hatched to retrieve Monica’s money, expose her ex for the rat bastard he is, and then part ways. As far as plans go, it isn’t the craziest of the TWO they’ve had, but it does come with risks. With nothing more to do than see the crazy through to the very end, Monica and Nash pack their bags and prepare to crash a honeymoon!
The Bottom Line: One Wedding, Two Brides is a cute, light read that kept me engaged, but didn’t overwhelm me with the awesome. This is one of those books where you just accept the wild, the crazy, the totally implausible IS the premise and go with it or DNF it. I chose to go with it, in large part because I liked Monica and Nash and the interactions between them. Clearly, their situation isn’t normal, but they muddle through it with a great deal of stubbornness, sarcasm, wit, and humor. In essence, this book is the epitome of fake it until you make it and that is exactly what Nash and Monica do. While I can’t say this is an amazing read, it is a cute, mostly satisfying read that will appeal to a great number of romance readers. I wouldn’t move this one up to the top of your TBR, but I would keep it on the list and save it for a rainy day.
Sorry to say this book was not a winner for me; I was underwhelmed with Monica's character, and the fact that she was drunk when she got married, yet Ryder was sober was a miss for me.
Monica is jilted by her fiance and out for revenge, or at the very least to get her money back. When her crazy plan goes awry Ryder saves the day. When she wakes up in unfamiliar surroundings with a ring on her finger she is shocked. How much did she drink? Then it all comes back to her, or at least up to the point that she met the handsome cowboy currently sharing her bed. They hatch a plan to catch her ex-fiance and get her money back. They deeper they get involved in exposing Matt the more their attraction grows. Maybe this wedding isn't so fake after all.
Cute story about an unexpected marriage for convenience that starts off with an incredibly drunk bride and a sober groom who just needs a little help. I loved Monica's character, especially watching her adapt to live on the ranch when she's used to big city living. Her new found love of horses, and especially Rumpy, was touching.
My only complaint, the only reason I rated this three stars instead of four, was because there was far too much inner dialogue for my taste. Page after page of paragraph after paragraph of internal dialogue. Honestly I skimmed a few pages and didn't lose anything in the story.
This is the first book I’ve ever read by this author but it definitely won’t be the last one I can tell you. I absolutely loved it! Everything about it, from the characters to the storyline was so good that I couldn’t put it down. I seriously didn’t want to do anything that requires me to put down my iPad. This book had me from the very beginning and kept my attention throughout the entire story. That doesn’t always happen for me with new authors that’s why I will definitely be looking this author up for more books in the author. A must read of 2018 for me and now one of my favourites all time ever books.
It should be noted that I did not finish this book. I could not handle the whole thing of how the heroine was super drunk and the "hero" thought it was okay for her to consent to marriage. That is a big old no from me.

My first book from the author was really good!
Monica crashed her ex-fiances wedding while being drunk and in a wedding dress! Her ex, Matt, promised her a wedding but instead he run away with her money and married another woman. The bride's brother, Ryder, takes her outside to prevent her from making an even bigger spectacle. While driving away, she propose a deal with Ryder; they'll get married to revenge Matt and in exchange she''ll give him the money he needs to rescue his ranch. However, after waking up the next day, Ryder finds out that there's no money and they are still married. Now they decide to join forces in order to get the money back from Matt and save the ranch.
The relationship between Monica and Ryder is full of sexual tension. Their chemistry is off the charts and even though they denied it there's a connection between them. I really enjoyed their story and laugh with Monica antics at times. Seeing how she got used to being the rancher's wife was hilarious! They are seriously made for each other! The ending was perfect and wrapped up the story beautifully!!
Jilted bride Monica Blair can’t believe it when she wakes up next to a blue-eyed, smooth-talking cowboy in the middle of nowhere and with a ring on her finger. It had sounded like a great plan at the time. Get married, get revenge, and get her money back. So why is she cleaning out stables and trying to keep her hands off the hot cowboy helping her?
Ryder Nash would have bet his best Stetson that you’d never see him walk down the aisle. But when the city girl with pink-streaked hair and a frog tattoo hatches a plan to expose the conman who married his sister, no idea is too crazy. And even though Monica might be the worst rancher’s wife he’s ever seen, he can’t stop thinking about the wedding night they never had.
What was supposed to be a temporary marriage for revenge is starting to feel a little too real...
Monica is devastated when she opens her Chicago paper and reads a wedding announcement for her fiancé, Matt. But she’s not the bride in the announcement! She hops on a plane and while she knows that she won’t make it to stop the wedding, she knows that she has to do something to let Matt know that she found out about the deception. While on the way to Nevada she ends up getting drunk and crashes the reception and starts spouting off. She’s hauled out by the bride’s brother, Ryder.
Monica tells Ryder that she needs to get back at Matt and let him know the huge mistake he made by marrying someone else. The only way, according to her drunken mind, to do that is to get married as well. This will supposedly infuriate Matt because she’ll be the perfect wife. (Yeah, it makes no sense to me either.) She says she’ll pay Ryder $50,000 to marry her – a marriage of convenience, of course – and then they’ll get it annulled when she feels Matt has been bested (as he’s so competitive). So, Ryder’s farm is failing and he needs money, desperately, so while he knows that marrying Monica isn’t smart he needs that money.
The next morning Monica wakes up and can’t remember anything. She’s horrified that she married this man she didn’t know and then lets him know that she doesn’t have $50,000 because Matt stole it from her before he married Ryder’s sister. Ryder is shocked but determined to get the money back from Matt, so they decide to stay married and work together.
While I enjoyed this story at times, there were plenty of parts that annoyed me. Ryder was one of them. He was very concerned for his farm, I get that, but it made him seem pretty self-centered in the way he acted. He went along with Monica’s schemes but never graciously. Monica and I had a love/hate relationship as well. I thought she was an idiot at the beginning, but she made up for it by the end of the book.
This is intended to be an overall light-hearted book and that’s what it is - there’s not a lot of depth. It was cute and funny at times so that kind of made up for the parts where I found myself rolling my eyes.

I received a copy of ONE WEDDING, TWO BRIDES on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and author.
4 stars and here's why:
This is a quick read, and highly entertaining as a revenge story. Monica accidentally marries Ryder in drunken moment at her ex’s wedding. I love this trope – get married first, then see if it works. Ms. Betts took a familiar trope and made it fresh. It’s a quick read and I found myself laughing out loud a lot. If you love fast-paced writing, witty banter, and a rom-com of epic proportions, then this book is for you. Highly recommend!
I loved the whole premise of this book. Monica wants to get revenge on her ex so she shows up at his wedding drunk. She gets dragged out by Ryder who she than marries in a drunken stooper. But as fate would have it she finds herself falling for the guy she married as a sham. This book was hilarious and a really sweet romance. I loved the idea of a fairy tale romance. A cowboy falling for a city girl. What could be a better romance? I liked the authors writing style. I have not read anything by her before but I will be!
I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.
I thought the cover on this book was so cute and fun, it really attracted me to want to pick up the book. This was an ok romance novel, it was a solid story and would make a good beach read. Ryder and Monica were both sweet and fun, they were super cute together. This was a fun and light-hearted read, just like the cover leads us to believe! There was a but more mush than I usually care for, but there definitely was romance. This was a pretty good read and I would recommend checking it out if you like a light-hearted cowboy romance.
I was very unimpressed with this book. The heroine was just too flighty. I never really connected with them as a couple, because I really didn’t see what was so lovable about her.
The character was bad, but the writing itself was good. I would read more by this author with a different heroine.
Heidi Betts charms readers in One Wedding, Two Brides. The quirky heroine leads us into a merry plot to exact revenge upon the fiancé who drained her savings and then married another woman. From Chicago to a failing ranch in Nevada, Monica finds that even plans made while intoxicated can lead to something amazing.
This read is absolutely delightful, even the awkward scenes where Monica has to explain her predicament and her goal to make things right. I loved reading this story and wondering whether Monica was truly wronged, or whether she was just a woman scorned looking to get back at her ex. It wasn't obvious at first, but as Monica's character is revealed I started to see more clearly what was going on. That initial uncertainty gives the story a "What the heck is going on?" feel and it kept me reading to figure it out. Ryder Nash has his reasons for going along with Monica's scheme, even though he can't fully trust her and she's aiming to hurt his sister's new husband. Their dynamic is enticing because there's an obvious attraction, but a constant will-they-won't-they burning in almost every scene.
One Wedding, Two Brides is definitely the story for someone with weddings on the brain. It's quirky and fun and full of lighthearted romance guaranteed to make you swoon. I recommend for fans of Jenny Holiday.

This is a cute book, but the beginning is a little sketchy. I was a bit lost at first and that really brought my rating down on this one. The writing style is okay, but not what I had hoped it would be. I loved the story plot!
I loved the meet-cute in this. Or rather the meet-jilted-and-tipsy.
Monica was supposed to marry the same man that Ryder's sister just married. So, in her mind (drunk where bad ideas make sense) crashing the wedding, and showing him what he lost, and also showing the bride the loser she married, seems like a good idea.
Ryder to the rescue, of both Monica and the bride and groom (although, that turns out as you want it to once you hear Monica's story) and off she goes to his ranch. His troubled ranch, the one he is in danger of losing and is struggling to make ends meet.
A revenge marriage plot is formed, the money Monica has is promised to Ryder, and sparks start flying...the money isn't where it is supposed to be, the marriage is becoming more and more real, and the relationship neither of them were looking for is looking like exactly what they want.
It's not easy to get them to the Happily Ever After, but it was fin and enjoyable. I am not sure I totally believed the premise, but hey, why not?
I laughed, I enjoyed this title, and I recommend it.
Wow, I love finding new authors and this has a really good storyline and fabulous characters that hooked me in. There's not a lot I can say that the blurb doesn't,
I received a copy from Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion
