Caitlyn, still reeling from the devastating loss of her husband begins to question how well she really knew him when she begins to suspect he was having an affair with her best friend, the stunning and enegmatic Sara. In the second story line, set in 1947, Tommy (short for Tomasina) is also a widow trying to pick up the pieces of her life, take care of her children and manage her families crumbling estate.
These two story lines do somewhat intertwine but frankly they would have been more effective if they had each been standalone novels. The jumping back and forth was jarring at times. I also HATE the name of the novel. It makes it seem much cheesier than it is.
I have never read any Lulu Taylor before but I will certainly read more of her novels in the future.
