I really hate the narrator from the first page and struggled through it. The blurb sounds promising the final product, less so.

I kept starting and then putting this book down. In the end, I just can't find it in myself to finish it. Mainly, because I just can't find it within myself to like the narrator. Her voice is one that is very jarring to me. Maybe it reminds me too much of how high school was for me or maybe it is because she was just so rude I couldn't like her. This is a book I doubt I shall ever actually finish, but for now I am going to set it aside with the intention of coming back.
Interesting story about two opposite teens, Inanna and Hadrian who meet in high school and learn how to cope with maturing into adulthood both together and apart. Inanna is a senior in hs, a loner who is really into books and studying when she meets popular Hadrian who is new at her school and they become friends. Definitely not your typical high school students, as Inanna who is extremely intelligent, witty and sarcastic. The book is written in journal entries which is different.. Very wordy--full of metaphors and kind of showy. Not really my cup of tea but held my interest nonetheless. Quick read though. Thanks for the ARC!!
