his book should come with a warning: DO NOT READ IN PUBLIC for fear of people thinking you may be crazy. Why? Because it will cause you to laugh like a lunatic at every page. I’m talking full belly laugh, tears in your eyes, laugh so hard you may pee sort of hilarity here. It was my favorite book in this series. And I loved the rest of this series, people! Maybe it’s in part because I’m convinced that the foul-mouthed, sassy, snarky yet with a hidden vulnerable side, Ariel, is actually my spirit animal.
"Ah-ha!” I shout, pointing at the smug little asshole across from me. “Now who looks like an idiot? I don’t use my phone for that. NO ONE USES THEIR PHONE FOR PHONE CALLS! WE USE THEM TO TEXT PEOPLE, TO GOOGLE RANDOM SHIT LIKE IF YOU CAN DIE FROM A RUNNY NOSE, AND TO FIND A FUNNY MEME ABOUT HERPES!”
“Oh, Jesus,” Cindy mutters.
“Please, don’t be difficult, ma’am,” the older deputy says with a sigh.
“Piss off. I’m not difficult. I’m a fucking delight,” I mutter in annoyance.
See what I mean? Spirit animal, people!
But she’s also the loudest and crudest of the three friends, and I loved her for it. The sexual tension between her and Eric was always sizzling. There’s just something about the hate/lust thing that they had going that just did it for me. Oh it did it for me so hard. Eric knows exactly how to handle Ariel, much to her annoyance. So when she finds herself evicted from her home and has to leave all her beloved antiques behind, he has no problem being her white knight. Even if she does threaten his life and his balls in the process.
Suddenly Ariel finds herself living on a neighboring yacht to Eric, who inherited his family yacht business and had one to spare. The sparring between them doesn’t decrease but the sexual tension only continues to mount. Add into that one evil looking hairless cat named Derrick Alfredo and all of the hilarity ensues.
Care to tell me why you’re holding a cat that’s inside out against your crotch?” my dad suddenly asks, pointing at Derrick Alfredo. “He . . . uh . . . likes the warmth. You know, since he doesn’t have any hair and he’s always cold. My dick warmth comforts him, sir,” Eric replies with a nervous clear of his throat. “And here I thought you were just covering up a boner. I like this guy, Ariel,” my dad states, clapping Eric on the shoulder before he walks over to the couch and makes himself comfortable.
I loved every single hilarious chapter. I adored the slow built sizzle between Ariel and Eric. I loved the way he just knows how to handle her and brings out the spot gooey side of this spitfire.
I also love the friendships between them all. The girls have a bond to put Sex And The City to shame. I adore their friendship and the way they care for each other. I also love the heck out of their banter.
"This is such a good idea. You’re so pretty and smart. We should make out.”
“Jesus, Belle, stop trying to kiss me. We’ve got important smit to do. Slit to do. Shiffy do.”
“I think the words you’re looking for are ‘shit to do.’”
“STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO PJ! I’VE GOT SHIFFY DO!”
“My teeth feel funny. Do I still have teeth, Vincent?”
“You still have teeth, sweetheart.”
I loved every single page of this hilarious romcom. I never wanted it to end. I adore the devious comedic mind of Tara Sivec and the way her characters practically leap out of the pages at you. If you’re looking for a book to put a ridiculous smile on your face for days after you finish it, this is simply a must read. A. Must. Read.
Ariel Waters is having a bad day. Wait, make that a bad year. Not only did her husband take away her confidence but he is now her ex-husband and taking her money by getting alimony from her. And Ariel cannot really afford that payment. She quickly discovers that ignoring a financial institution’s phone messages and mailed correspondence does not make a debt disappear - Ariel finds her house and beloved antiques taken over by the bank! Enter her beloved friends Cynthia and Belle to keep her upright and from getting arrested. But this wouldn’t be a fairytale without a prince to the rescue….
This book is flat-out hysterical, so beware when reading in public! Ariel sprinkles f-bombs in abundance when she feels cornered, which these days is often. Her fellow Naughty Princesses are her perfect posse. And her prince? Frenemy Eric Sailor is knows just how to handle prickly Ariel. His blend of wit, kindness and dimples manages to save Ariel’s day!
This author was new to me, but no longer. I really liked Ms. Sivec’s writing style, even done in a “normally-I-do-not-like” 1st person voice. The comedy, the sweet, the steamy (oh yeah, it gets hot) are all blended together to create a very enjoyable read! I plan on sitting back and reading the first 2 books in this series pronto!
This was such a fun read and great part of the Naughty Princess series. I really liked Ariel and the hot mess that she is, along with Eric and his wonderful prince hotness. There is something special in the way Tara Sivec can create humor and romance in a story and deliver the feels at the same time and this book is proof of that!
I really enjoyed the push and pull between these two and just when you think they may finally get it together, there are some challenges for these two. One of my favorite things about this series is the play on the Disney movies and this book totally nails it! I can’t count how many songs I hummed as I read this book and yet it was original and fun and it’s own story. I have really enjoyed this series and I know it is going to be one that I revisit to laugh and feel and swoon over again and again. Another great read from one of my very favorites, Tara Sivec! Can’t wait to see what she does next!
I have enjoyed every book of this series and this wasn't the exception. Ms. Sivec had a great idea in developing this series and it has definitely paid off. Keep them coming!
I didn't know this was part of a series when I read it, and you don't need to have read the others to read this one. But it was a good read and made me want to read more in the series. Girl finds herself in trouble due to a lousy ex and has to accept help from the one person she has tried to steer clear of. Is he really what she thought?
I mean, really. This shouldn't be a surprise that I absolutely loved this book. I have been looking forward to Ariel's book since the beginning. Now I can officially say that her story has been my favorite so far. Despite Cinderella being my "favorite" Disney princess and I adore the story. But my Disney heart can't pick just one princess.
Ariel was still her hilarious self. But now we get to find out why she's been holding out on joining her besties in the money making part for Naughty Princess Club.
Then we have Eric. Dear lord. I have always loved the Disney version of Eric. Always been a favorite. So in my mind, he looked a lot like the Disney character.
I also love that characters we meet in the animated film make appearances in the book giving it that true Disney feel.
This series is everything. I hope it's not over. Because combining my 2 loves, books and Disney into one is the best thing ever! Plus, this series is hilarious!!
FINALLY!!! I couldn’t wait for Ariel’s story from the first moment in book one when we were introduced to her! I would say I was most excited to hear her story since she was so entertaining throughout the other two books! Kiss the girl was F*cking Hilarious filled with romance, spit your drink out moments and funny banter galore! Tara Sivec is a force to be reckoned with she is the Queen of snarky heroines and has a knack for bringing the characters to life.
Ariel was quite the character in book one and two, sassy and the strength that her friends needed in their time of need. In Kiss the Girls we see a side of her that we have not seen before, she is more self conscious then she would ever let on. She feels she is a strong independent woman who can do it all on her own. But a little help from your friends may not be as bad as you think.
Eric is smitten with Ariel from the very first F*ck Off she presented to him in book one. She tries her damnedest not to let him get to her but he wears her down when he comes to her rescue when her world is falling in around her. Eric is sweet, observant, caring and persistent. He knows what he wants and intends to get it!
Ariel and Eric together is the definition of romantic comedy. They banter like an old married couple but are super hot & steamy!
Tara wraps up this wonderful story with a glimpse into the future of these Naughty Princesses! Don’t miss out on this hilarious read and if you haven’t read At the Stroke of Midnight and In Bed with the Beast I highly suggest you bump them up on your TBR, these are not books you want to miss out on!
This was my favorite of the three Naughty Princess Club books!
I’ve been waiting for Ariel’s story since meeting her in the first book and it DID NOT disappoint. I love everything about Ariel: her mouth, her spunk, her self esteem, and her love of food (especially carbs!). Every woman can relate to her in some way. Her story is not easy and Tara did an amazing job in weaving in major laugh out loud moments without taking away from the seriousness of certain moments.
Eric has been determined to get Ariel to fall in love with him from the get go. He’s rich, powerful, and hot. He has been caught up with her since the first time he laid eyes on her. I LOVED watching their relationship grow. He was swoon worthy and knew exactly what to do to help her, even before she did.
I love that we’ve gotten to see all of the characters in this world in each of these books. You can’t help but fall for all of them and fall into this world that Tara has created. I’m so happy we got an epilogue for the other couples in this series as well.
If you haven’t picked up this series yet, what are you waiting for? The book are so funny and Tara has done a brilliant job in taking a unique twist on classic fairy tale stories.
I was thrilled to voluntarily review an ARC of this book. I’ve read some of Tara Sivec’s work in the past and found it to be heartfelt and hilarious. This book is no exception! I haven’t read the first two books in this series, but I was able to dive right in and appreciate “Kiss the Girl” anyway and I definitely plan to read the first two stories.
This series is a retelling of some favorite princess fairytales, and it’s done in a way that hits it right on the nose. Big and little nods to the classic Disney version of The Little Mermaid kept me guessing and smiling throughout the book. As stated in the blurbs, Ariel, Belle, and Cindy have a stripping business, so you know that their stories are told with a twist on the originals. In this book, we follow Ariel’s journey as an entrepreneur getting their business launched, as well as her battle to overcome a manipulative ex husband and get her groove back. Despite some potentially heavy topics, it delivers a light and easy read.
It’s a zany and funny book with evil enemies, great girlfriends, and swoon-worthy romance. I do recommend checking it out!
I will say that if you don’t like curse words, this may not be the author for you. It usually takes me a couple of chapters to get used to this style, but the stories are worth the adjustment
Tara Sivec is back again! And she brought another hilarious romance read, Kiss the Girl.
We get to read about Ariel and Eric story. We have read about Ariel before in previously books. She is a firecracker though and though. And I love it so much. She has so much fire in her that she can do anything. But lately she has been getting a little angst when performing her act. It may be nerves but who knows until Ariel works it out.
While Ariel trying to figure out her funk, she also runs into Eric, who is cockier than ever. Eric is also the business owner of the strip club that Ariel and her friends often visit. He knows that Ariel is the one for him but she seems to ignore all times. Eric may be cock but he is a true man especially whenever Ariel needs help. He see what Ariel is as person that he wants to protect all cost. It’s pretty swoon.
Ariel and Eric relationship may be unexpected especially to Ariel. But they have explosive chemistry that they are burning for each other. They know what each other wants that they be rocking their self together so much.
Kiss the Girl will finally bring Ariel and Eric together if they survive the bumpy ride of the unexpected between them. Four Stars.
This story I absolutely loved just like i did with every other book by this author. They have such an amazing ability to write a sweet, romantic and completely hilarious story with a unique spin on their stories. The authors characters always seem to be completely original and unique int heir own way. Whenever i read a Tara Sivec story I know I am in for a good time.
*4 Stars*

Ariel's book was the one I was most looking forward to in this series. She's been the snarky, witty, intriguing one from the start, so I was keen to get into this one. She does not disappoint. We get all of these traits we have already witnessed in the other books, plus the underlying emotions and issues she is dealing with. And of course, she does have a soft side somewhere under all that too.
Eric was a great male lead, and perfect for Ariel. He totally understands her, and matches her with attitude. Definitely a match made in heaven.
There are plenty of side characters in this I wanted to smack upside the head too. I was glad to see them get what for by the end.
All in all a fun and enjoyable read, with lots of emotion and lots of wit. Look forward to reading more from Tara Sivec in the future.
there is another author i recently read who writes books and bases them on real life disney movies. The little mermaid is my favorite one and this book was just ok.
I waited to listen to these before I read them and I'm glad I did!! I love the Audible version so much that I bought the book too. Ariel is the funniest main character ever. She's quirky, she is different and I loved that. This whole series is worth a triple-read. It's that good. As a matter of fact, that's why I'm writing this because I'm reading/listening to this again. AMAZING!
I couldn’t wait to read Ariel’s book. She has been loud, in your face and no nonsense this whole series. Reading this book we discover that she has a very soft and vulnerable side that we don’t see. Her spirit has been broken by her ex and I loved seeing her reclaim her self esteem and worth.
Eric was just perfect when it came to dealing with Ariel. He didn’t get turned off when she pushed him away several times throughout the series. I loved the way he helped build her back up and all the sweet things he did in this book.
I have binged this whole series and I’m so sad to see it come to an end. I loved all the girls in this series and seeing their transformations made me laugh, smile and tear up. These ladies loved, lifted and supported each other through the good, the bad and the downright ugly. It’s nice to see women support women and work together. The epilogue was PERFECTION and fitting to each girl. I’m so sad this see this series end and I highly recommend each and every book.
My Thoughts:
This year, one of my main reading goals has been to complete series that I've started. Due to that, I recently decided to pick up the last book in the Naughty Princess Club series, Kiss the Girl. The series is by one of my favorite authors, Tara Sivec. I've read most of her books and loved them. Kiss the Girl was no exception to that.
Out of all of the books in the Naughty Princess Club series, I was looking forward to Kiss the Girl the most. It definitely didn't disappoint. Ariel is my favorite character in this series, so I loved reading from her perspective. I love her sassy, sarcastic humor that she uses as a coping mechanism. She makes me laugh so much with her outlandish, vulgar humor. She's definitely someone that I would love to have as a best friend in real life. She always sticks up for her friends, and doesn't take any crap from anyone. I especially loved a certain scene between her and her ex Sebastian towards the end of the book. She's such a strong, kick butt female.
There was only one thing that kind of took away from my reading experience, which was a minor detail. In the first two books in the series, the comparisons to Disney princess are more subtle. In this book, it feels like the reader is being hot over the head with them. The references are constantly shoved in the readers face, which can be slightly annoying at times. I think that's more of a personal preference though. I enjoy when books are more subtle about their hints and references to other things because it's almost like a treasure hunt trying to find them while reading.
Even with that minor annoyance, I loved Kiss the Girl. In fact, I loved the Naughty Princess Club series in general. From my understanding, Tara Sivec has said that she's not going to write anymore books in this series. I wish she would though because I really want more of these characters and this world. There is a character that shows up for the first time towards the end of Kiss the Girl that I kept picturing as Jasmine, based on her looks. I would love a book about her.
I give Kiss the Girl: 4/5.
I received an eARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of this review.
The final book in The Naughty Princess Club by Tara Sivec Kiss the Girl is a romance inspired by The Little Mermaid. I’ll be honest I wasn’t looking forward to this one. I loved the first two books of the series, but Ariel was never my favorite character. She’s crass and rude. She’s that obnoxious girl who has to be the loudest in the room (you know, we all know one of them). However she quickly won me over as I learned more about her character through her perspecitve.
Ariel is not the character I thought she was. For one she’s a hoarder of antiques, she’s broke, and she’s nursing a broken heart. Her boisterous attitude is a cover for the insecurity she has felt since her ex-husband left her with nothing and feeling like less than nothing. Her ex is a piece of work that I’d love to punch, but that’s not the point here. The point is Ariel is a fun character, one I enjoyed getting to know and laughing with in her book.
And then there’s Eric Sailor *swoon* I thought that In Bed with the Beast would be my favorite book of the series and my favorite book boyfriend. I was wrong! Eric is swoon-worthy to the max. When Ariel’s house is repossessed by the bank, Eric takes her in on one of his yachts, no less. He’s had a thing for Ariel since the series opened, so I was curious to see how this would play out. And I admit I loved it. I loved Eric with Ariel. Like her, he’s not the character he’s been portrayed to be – the playboy slut, center of attention, lavish living guy. Nope, he’s all those, but he is more and I loved reading his character’s growth in this installment.
The plot of this one is slightly different than the others. Stripping was Ariel’s idea, and she has the body for it. But her ex was a piece of crap that made Ariel insecure about her looks, specifically her curves. As a result, the book follows as Ariel finds her voice figuratively and her courage to strip.
Overall, Kiss the Girl was my favorite installment of The Naughty Princess Club. I loved Ariel and Eric. It’s a enemies to lovers trope and it’s perfect for these two characters. If you enjoy fairytale retellings and explosive chemistry, I highly recommend it.
This is the third book in the Naughty Princess Club series, and the first book I have read from this author. While I am sure reading the previous books in the series would have given me better insight into the characters, I didn't feel that I was missing anything by not having read the other books.
I really enjoyed this book, especially with the twist and parallels to a certain animated movie. Ariel is super headstrong and wants to be independent, so when she needs to rely on someone else, its really difficult for her. In swoops Eric to save the day, an unwanted prince charming to the fiery Ariel. These two are very different in personality, but not in how they operate to their core. Both are loyal and supportive of their friends, and are there for others when needed. It was nice to see someone like Eric be a friend to Ariel when she needed it, and not push despite wanting more. Ariel is a touch nut to crack and isn't someone who trusts and loves easily, and that's one aspect that made this book so wonderful to read.
This book was not only about Ariel and Eric, but also about the fierce loyalty Ariel and her gal pals have to each other. While I haven't read the first two books in this series, I am intrigued about the relationships of the other Naughty Princesses and have added these books to my "to read" list.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I tried, I really tried to enjoy this book. But I struggled to even make it though the first chapter. The main character was foul mouthed and completely unattractive because of it. There was nothing I liked about her. I read a few more chapters, hoping there would be something redeeming about her and it just got worse. I wanted to love it because The Little Mermaid is my favorite fairytale but I just couldn't do it.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.
Unfortunately, this was one I chose not to finish. My apologies for the late notice. As I don't want my low rating to appear on the site and potentially impact the choices of other readers, I wait until after a title has been published/no longer able to be downloaded.
Inadvertently, I waited much longer than intended to give feedback for this title.
I look forward to the next title through your company!
Thanks,
Laura
