When Ariel looses her house and all her antiques, she is devastated. But Eric, who is PJ's partner in the strip club, offers her a place to stay. He is a billionaire and lives on a huge yacht and has Ariel stay on his 2nd yacht next door. Ariel still is not over the humiliation and verbal abuse from her husband, and she has lost all her confidence. But Eric won't give up on her because he has been attracted to her since the day they met.
This is a hilarious spoof of the Little Mermaid. The mouth on Ariel is unbelievable and Eric is her match as his is almost the same. The situations they get into had me laughing out loud. If you are looking for a light hearted romance, then this is the book for you.

Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec is the third book in the series of standalones, The Naughty Princess Club.
The previous books are At the Stroke of Midnight and In Bed with the Beast - Belle and Cindi´s stories.
Kiss the Girl is Ariel and Eric´s story. Ariel is the last single one of the Naughty Princesses. Calling her character prickly is flattery, she´s rather a mix of bulldog and porcupine. Her favorite way to communicate is yelling. But every pot finds his lid nad Eric is smitten with her. He´s her knight in shining armor, only she doesn´t appreciate his efforts. He drives her crazy. They´re a perfect match, but Eric has his work laid out for him.
Kiss the Girl is a fantastic read, a true rom/com in typical Tara Sivec style. She writes hilarious, LOL stories like no other, and I love they all. Starting with the chocolate series to The Naughty Princesses, when you need a bit of a lift up, go read a Tara Sivec book.

Kiss the Girl by Tara Sivec is a fun, sweet and heartwarming read.
I enjoyed the storyline, it was well written, well paced and watching Ariel and Eric come together warmed my heart.
These two made me laugh, they made me swoon and they brought a tear to my eye with their story.
Kiss the Girl is a wonderful addition to The Naughty Princess Club series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all!

This book was better in theory than in reality. First, I have not read the previous two books, and did feel like I was missing some backstory there. Second, the language these ladies used was very crude, but in an unrealistic way. The characters were a bit one-dimensional. I;m all for women-empowerment, but this story left me feeling very meh.
I have to admit, I was surprised by this series. I didn't know anything about it going in, but a number of people had recommended Tara's books in blogs and Facebook posts.
I ended up really enjoying the themes of empowerment and love, the humor, and the friendship that thread through each book, including this one with Ariel and Eric. It is fun, too, to see all of the allusions to the fairytale each book is based on.
After so much build up, it was interesting to get inside Ariel's head to learn more about her and her struggles. Both she and Eric turned out to be so much more than I expected.
This is a fabulous wrap up to the series! You do not have to read the other books first, but I recommend you do because they are all good!
I had heard a lot about The Naughty Princess Club series so when I was able to read a copy of Kiss The Girl I figured why not? I like romance and I like fairy tales so I jumped in. Kiss The Girl isn't like any fairy tale that I ever read! I haven't read the other books in the series but that didn't hold me back. Ariel is a tough talking, foul mouthed business woman that has been having a streak of bad luck with the brightest spots being her friends Cindy and Belle. They started their princess stripping business but she still has financial problems. Enter Eric Sailor, business partner and friend to Cindy's fiancee and all around pain in Ariel's rear end! Well this princess doesn't want a prince to save her day but he's determined to be there to support her. This is a crazy rom com of foul mouthed fun and that's before you get to meet Eric's mother! It's told in first person POV from Ariel's perspective and if you enjoy laughing, swearing, singing and a HEA then this is the book for you.
I haven't read Tara Sivec before, but after reading Kiss the Girl I can see that she likes to write characters that are loud, quirky and definitely memorable. Despite all the drama, it was sweet to watch Eric support Ariel through everything and he showed her what a great woman she was beneath her insecurities.
Ariel had a bit of a potty mouth and was very dramatic, but I enjoyed watching her get back up after losing so much. She was kind of lost and her friends supported her as best as they could. However, it was Eric and how he subtly pushed Ariel in the right direction, that made her the strong and confident woman she turned out to be.
Eric was a fabulous guy! He didn't try to take control, he was just there helping Ariel, using his cheeky banter to fire Ariel up, or doing things with Ariel that he knew that she loved doing. I liked that he was so easy going and how these two fell so effortlessly into a relationship, despite Ariel trying to keep Eric at arms length.
Even though this was the third book in the series, each book features a different couple. I think I would have a better understanding of the world and the situation if I read all the books, but the author gave me enough backstory that I could easily follow along. The girls were so close, that they would follow one another into battle if needed. They started an interesting business together, and had tremendous support from their men. It was an amusing romantic comedy and I will definitely read more of Sivec's work in the future!
"Kiss the Girl" by Tara Sivec, St. Martin's Press, September 2018 is a romantic and entertaining predictable Read. This is the third book in the series but can be a standalone. The Genres for this novel are Fiction, Women's Fiction and Romance. The author describes her quirky and dysfunctional characters as complicated. The story takes place in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story.
The three women are friends and business partners of "The Naughty Princess Club" a business for pleasure club, with the best of intentions. Ariel Waters, finds due to unpleasant circumstances that she has lost her home and antiques, and has no choice but to have her friends help her out. Eric Sailor comes to her rescue, but can things have a fairytale ending for Ariel?
The plot would be enjoyable with less cursing and the author's overuse of attempted wit. I received a copy of this ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
I'm really torn when it comes to this book. It took me so many tries to finally read it. It got better the more confident the heroine became but at the beginning, she simply got on my nerves with all her yelling and swearing and such. As I said, it got better but... Honestly? She reminded me much more of a (very) cranky, hormone-ridden teenager than a grown woman.
Sure, Ariel is kind of growing on you and she keeps getting better and more confident and starts to speak more and yell less but that just made it readable. It's not the swearing and her use of ...let's call them less-than-polite-words but the fact that she doesn't seem to be able to talk normally and in an appropriate manner.
Even though Eric, our hero doesn't seem to mind her way and accepts her just the way she is, I felt that despite the fact that he really gets Ariel and her way of thinking, he is really clueless. I mean - all this stuff about his mother and her role...well.
Soooo... even though I liked this group of friends and the way they stand up for each other and care for each other and even though I loved to see Ariel stand up for herself and the things that are important to her, it couldn't make up for everything.
Finally! Ariel is front and center and wow her book was fantastic! I just knew that it would be a great read cause that girl is a riot. While Ariel is outspoken and fun, we saw a side to her that I wasn’t expecting but was nice to read about. There is so much more to her than we initially see. And Eric was just the most swooniest guy out there. We don’t get to see much of him in the previous books but in this one, he shines brightly. I loved how sweet and genuine he was with Ariel. He truly cares for her and it was fun to see how he would break down her walls. The progression of Ariel and Eric’s relationship was a joyous journey. These two were explosive and I loved that. But of course, it would not be smoothing sailing. There was a bit of a trouble and it was interesting to see how it would all play out. I loved seeing Cindy and Belle. They are just the best friends and seeing these girls form an unlikely friendship was beautiful. Kiss the Girl was fun, sweet, and just awesome! And the epilogues were great. I loved seeing the HEAs of Cindy and Charming, Belle and Vincent, and Ariel and Eric after it was all said and done. I mean they are fairytales after all. The Naughty Princess Club have been an fun and magnificent series! I have enjoyed all three books and I loved these characters. Plus the covers are amazing. Wonderful job on all the books Tara.
I have loved the Naughty Princess Club series, but in my opinion, the best was definitely saved for last. Kiss the Girl brings us Ariel and Eric’s story, and what a romance challenge it is since he’s always been head over heals since the first, and she’s always seen his surface and not the real man underneath.
I think we often toss around the word “empowering” too casually – yet I cannot come up with another word that truly describes this series, and especially Kiss the Girl. Cindy, Belle and Ariel had hit absolute rock bottom and once they found each other have done nothing but build each other back up, taken control of their own lives and gave no one else control over them, not ever again. The empowering of women who have taken control over their own destinies is so strong and so well done in this series. I have loved each heroine, watched them grow into the women they could be, maybe always were — and yes, they found love, but that was never the goal, that was the extra benefit.
I loved Eric, he’s an amazing character, yet I loved him for what he felt for Ariel. He simply loved her exactly as she was, sure he wanted to help her, to bring back to her the joy of life once again but he first and always loved her exactly as she is… and that is rare and beautiful in my eyes. There will be some bumps along the way for this couple, there always has to be an evil witch or nasty troll somewhere even in the retelling of a fairy tale. Yet, the difficulties they face together and separately only make them a stronger, more secure couple in the end… and that’s what matters. I have had a blast with this series and I’m sad to see it come to its conclusion. I would recommend reading this series in order, oh you could read them individually but then you wouldn’t get the sense of these women coming into their own from the worst the past dealt to them into the amazing, strong and empowered women they are today. Kiss the Girl is a stunning conclusion to the Naughty Princess Club, and I cannot wait to see what Tara Sivec has for us next.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
I’ve enjoyed every book in this series, and this one did not disappoint. Ariel is such a believable character and I love the chemistry she and Eric have together. The evolution Ariel goes through was so much fun to be a part of. And yes, you do feel like you are part of the book. This book had me laughing out loud at times and I thought Eric was the perfect person for Ariel. I can’t wait to see what Tara has coming next!
I think this might be my favorite of this series! These books are funny, hot, and all around good.
They pull at your heartstrings, but seriously make you laugh out loud.
Ariel is by far my favorite character. She's sassy and opinionated, but care so much!
Eric is perfection of swoon! He's been onto her since the beginning. He knows she needs a certain kind of man and he wants to be that man.
All our previous characters make appearances and have you laughing as well. I love that these women are so strong and motivated to fix their lives.
Definitely recommend Tara Sivec every time!

Review:
This is the final book (at least as far as I know) of this fun series with a new take on faerytale princesses.
Like I said above, this book was just plain fun to read. The story was fun, the characters were fun and even the dialogue was fun. I always say if a book can make me laugh out loud while reading it is a keeper, this one definitely did that. I love the unique interesting ways the Author wove the Little Mermaid tale into a new updated take on the story. It was fun to read how the characters of the original story were depicted in as the characters of this book. Besides having fun reading this, it gave me a light heart. I mean Ariel and Eric do have their issues and obstacles that they have to overcome, but it is a feel good story. Each of these books can be read as a stand alone, but I enjoyed them in order.
A fun, unique and entertaining take on The Little Mermaid.

Kiss the Girl came highly recommended by several trusted book friends. I was hesitant. RomCom is so hit or miss for me. I have read Sivec's contemporary romances though and know she has a good style. So, I capitulate. Here are my thoughts:
-By the end of the first chapter, I wanted to throat punch Ariel. What a bitch! She is condescending, rude, and immature.
-By chapter 3/4 you learn the reason why but its still not a reason to behave the way she does. It just bothered me that a grown woman would behave the way she does and think its okay because her ex was verbally degrading to her.
-Eric is too good to be true. He is so in love with her and she is horrible to him. HORRIBLE.
-Ariel is lucky to have Cindy and Belle as friends. They are true ride or die bitches!
-Ok, by chapter 13 I don't HATE Ariel. I still think some of her behaviors are immature for a woman her age and that Eric is still too good for her. But, I have hope she will grow to be good enough for him.
-All right, so I think I have figured out that I just find Ariel abrasive. She kind of knocks women who are all gushy and lovey; like somehow being a snarky bitch is more in line with feminism? I just don't like people like her. But, that is just a personal thing. She might not annoy others!
Overall, this was a cute read. Lots of laughs and levity keep this book funny and easy. Eric is primo book boyfriend material for sure, so if you want a perfect hero, look no further. Take my thoughts on Ariel with the caveat that it was me, personally, struggling with her. Its possible that others won't find her as frustrating as I did.
This was my first experience with Tara Sivec’s writing and, overall, I did like it, though it took me some time to get into the story. Ariel is abrasive, her language full of expletives, and, to start, she is not a likeable character which made it hard for me. I am no prude, but it seemed to go overboard. I stuck with it, and Ariel’s character became more sympathetic and understandable. I still think that the language could have been toned down, but, as the story moved on, I noticed it less. This was a fun tale, with strong friendships and characters.
It won’t be for everyone, but I found it to be a quick read with well-developed strong characters and a fun storyline that made me giggle. It’s book three in the series, but not having read the first tow didn’t hamper my enjoyment.

This is the third and final novel in the Naughty Princess series and I absolutely loved the first two so I was really looking forward to this one, especially as we’d seen glimpses of Ariel and Eric’s dynamic throughout the other two books. Eric had made plain his interest and Ariel had made equally plain that she didn’t want anything to do with the playboy so it was always going to be full of sparks.
The previous books have detailed some of Ariel’s struggles but she hits rock bottom at the opening of this novel, as sheriffs move in to take her house because she’s behind on her mortgage payments, crippled by the alimony she has to pay her ex-husband. Forced to leave her beloved antiques behind, Ariel is thrown a lifeline by the one person she doesn’t want to be indebted to – Eric Sailor, part owner with PJ in the strip club. Both Cindy and Belle have danced at the club and are now booking parties through the Naughty Princess Club but Ariel, despite being the most outwardly confident of them all, has yet to take that step. She claims to be holding back to let them find their groove but it’s clear that there’s a lot more to Ariel’s story.
In previous books I had wavered in liking Ariel – she’s funny and very straightforward, often brusque and sometimes quite rude. In this book, her own story, she’s even worse, dialled right up and unfortunately I found her a bit difficult to read at times. She’s always swearing, which is fine, I swear a lot but I don’t construct whole paragraphs out of just swear words, some of which don’t even really make sense when put together. A lot of Ariel’s speeches are angry speeches and her swearing and I have to admit, it got quite wearying.
I’ve long wondered about Ariel’s marriage, which has only been vaguely referenced prior to this. Finally the answers are given and it definitely wasn’t what I expected but definitely made a lot of Ariel’s hang ups kind of fall into place and make sense, such as the reason why she hasn’t danced yet. I really enjoyed the character of Eric and how supportive he was of Ariel (and how appreciative) but at times he just appeared almost too good to be true in a way. He doesn’t make any mistakes and to be honest, he’s pretty removed from the main conflict even though it’s about him in a way. I wasn’t a big fan of the main conflict, I don’t think it makes a huge amount of sense in the contemporary framing and everyone in this story is an adult and should be able to be given the chance to make their own decisions, rather than have them made for them. So that didn’t really work for me and seemed only thrown in because Eric, the way he was written, was never going to do anything in this story to create any conflict between him and Ariel directly.
For me, this wasn’t a strong finish to the series, which is unfortunate. I found the first two much funnier and also, much sexier in terms of the chemistry between the two characters. I had thought I’d enjoy Ariel and Eric’s banter and dance but it was kind of over before it started and they were loved up really quickly before the book moved into the conflict from an external source. So all in all, this was a mixed bag for me. The writing is still good and I enjoyed the Naughty Princess idea a lot but Eric and Ariel as a couple just didn’t really do it for me.

This was the 3rd installment in the Naughty Princess Club series. It was super cute, full of laughs and of course hotness from both Ariel and Eric. We finally get to see what has been keeping Ariel back from joining the girls in their business adventures. But once this is out in the open, there is no holding Ariel back. As usual Tara Sivec delivers another fun filled book that had me turning the pages until the last page then wanting more.

This was my favorite of the three Naughty Princess Club books!
I’ve been waiting for Ariel’s story since meeting her in the first book and it DID NOT disappoint. I love everything about Ariel: her mouth, her spunk, her self esteem, and her love of food (especially carbs!). Every woman can relate to her in some way. Her story is not easy and Tara did an amazing job in weaving in major laugh out loud moments without taking away from the seriousness of certain moments.
Eric has been determined to get Ariel to fall in love with him from the get go. He’s rich, powerful, and hot. He has been caught up with her since the first time he laid eyes on her. I LOVED watching their relationship grow. He was swoon worthy and knew exactly what to do to help her, even before she did.
I love that we’ve gotten to see all of the characters in this world in each of these books. You can’t help but fall for all of them and fall into this world that Tara has created. I’m so happy we got an epilogue for the other couples in this series as well.
If you haven’t picked up this series yet, what are you waiting for? The book are so funny and Tara has done a brilliant job in taking a unique twist on classic fairy tale stories.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
Can I just say Kiss the Girl is the funniest book I have read this year? I was crying from laughing so hard.
Let me begin with the titles of the chapters. I looked forward to each one and then I couldn’t wait to find out how it was worked into the chapter. Talk about creative writing.
Then there were the storylines. Kiss the Girl is the first book I have read from the Naughty Princess Club series and I have already added the other two to my TBR shelf. This modern-day fairytale truly shows that happily ever afters are real in today’s world.
But the characters stole my heart. The trio of friends are like no others. They are supportive, protective and only want happiness for one another. The men are swoon worthy and adorable. Eric wants Ariel and it’s evident throughout the book. I love how he brings Ariel back to the person she was always meant to be and never made her feel sorry for herself or sad.
Beautiful story with lots of laughs, love and hope.
