I wanted to love this book, but it just fell flat for me. The description is pretty spot on: naughty Disney retelling (sorta--it's definitely its own story, but many characters make an appearance). Ariel is brash and mouthy and Eric is ridiculously supportive.

Theoretically I loved the Naughty Princess Club, too: they're best friends and business owners and they've got each others' backs. In "reality," everything from their friendship to Ariel's anger and LOTS OF SHOUTY CAPS felt forced and overdone, but not quite so tongue-in-cheek to actually be satire. Overall, it made for just an okay read for me. I'm not going to rush to read the other two books in the series, but I did laugh and smile a few times and was quite satisfied with the ending.

Well crud....how did I not know about this series until now? Now, my TBR just grew because I simply have to read books 1 and 2!!

This book was super cute sassy, sweet, hot...everything! I loved everything from the character's-obviously the story because I love all things Disney-ish, and honestly, I adored Ariel and Eric!

Definitely recommend this one!!!!

Kiss The Girl was a fun, sweet and sexy book. It’s the third book in a series but it works as a standalone as I have not yet read the first two books, but I was still able to follow along and not feel like I was really missing anything. I thoroughly enjoyed Ariel’s sassy attitude and the relationships with her girls and I wish to have relationships like that in my own life. Not to mention Eric is a complete, hottie as well as a wonderfully caring man. Overall, Kiss The Girl was an enjoyable book and I would totally recommend it. And I'm most definitely going back and reading the first two in the series!!

I received an advanced reader's copy for my honest review.

What an awesome ending to a great series. Just when you're world can't come crashing down around you even more, it does. But what smartass Princess story wouldn't be the same without her Prince on a not so white horse. And you are also given some closure on other characters. GET THIS BOOK!!

Kiss The Girl was my first by author Tara Sivec. I liked it, but I didn’t love it. Maybe because I haven’t read the previous 2 books in the ‘Princess Club’ series as the first few chapters were hard to digest as I made my way through them trying to figure out who everyone was. As with the previous books, Kiss The Girl is a take on a Disney storybook princess, in this case, Ariel. But where the Disney version was sweet and kind, our girl here, is quite the opposite. She’s got a foul mouth on her and is very opinionated.
Ariel operates the Naughty Princess Club, an ‘at home’ stripper company. Her two friends, Belle and Cindy, have already found their perfect match in their books and now they think it’s her turn. But, Ariel isn’t looking for Prince Charming, or to settle down. She’s been there, done that and got the mental scars to prove it’s not real thanks to her abusive ex-husband Sebastian.
Eric owns the club where they operate, he’s wanted Ariel from the moment he saw her fiery red hair and heard her salty talk. He’s not one to back down from a challenge and that’s what Ariel is. He’ll win her heart despite objections.
Eric was a really sweet guy, I’m not sure Ariel deserved him but she’s what he wanted so who am I to judge?

Sad to say, this book was a miss for me. Instead of an easy, light hearted rom-com, this book felt very over the top and in your face.

The humor wasn't naturally funny, it was just silly, cliche'd, and exaggerated. Everything felt very forced.

In addition, I did not like the character of Ariel at all. I found her unpleasant and obnoxious and couldn't imagine what Eric saw in her.

For these reasons, this book was a DNF for me.

As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read this book, and look forward to future titles.

Ariel was quite the foul mouthed, prickly character and I loved every minute of it. She’s had some hard knocks the past few years which landed her at the mercy of Eric, her super charming archenemy. The entire situation sets up for hilarious scenes and some fantastic banter between them. I found myself in fits of laughter several times during the book.

Ariel has this tough exterior and I thoroughly enjoyed how Eric was able to crack that and help her get her mojo back. Out of all three books this happens to be my personal favorite. Besides all of the laughs, there were several swoon worthy moments that gave me some serious warm fuzzies.

Sivec’s modern spin on these classic fairytales hit all the right buttons for me. They’re funny, lighthearted, romantic and I honestly can get enough. Bravo, I absolutely loved this entire series.

Ariel is so sassy and I think Eric is the only person who can handle all that! We have seen Ariel and all her attitude and now we really get to see more of her and her vulnerable side. I loved seeing more and really seeing who she is. Eric has so much fun banter with Ariel it's amazing. I didn't expect the whole new level of swoony though! Eric has such a sweet and caring side and I just adore how he helps Ariel.
I really loved all the storylines going on and really seeing Ariel blossom just as we saw Cindy and Belle do. I really liked the build up of these two and was sucked in early on. The book was filled with romance, all the Little Mermaid references, and laugh out loud humor. Such a good all around read.

From the moment I started reading this book, the song "Kiss The Girl" from Little Mermaid kept playing in my head. Ariel is a kick-ass woman who has hit rock bottom. Instead of wallowing, with the help from her gal pals, she begins to put her life back together. She does have some help from Hot Prince Eric. The two of them take flirting to a new level. Who knew that insults can be so much fun. When all is said and done, it is all about girl power.

Not Disney’s version!

Kiss The Girl is a retelling of The Little Mermaid. However, this is not the Disney version by a long-shot! Ariel loses everything when she divorces her abusive ex. Ariel starts a strip at home business with her friends Cindy and Belle (who found their princes and HEA in previous books). However, I haven’t read the first 2 books in this series, and although this is promoted as a stand alone, I was confused by all the characters and how they fit in the first few chapters.

Ariel is not like any Disney Princess. She is crass and swears constantly. And yet, she is funny and you learn that this is the way she’s protected herself through a difficult marriage. When she meets Eric (an owner of a strip club), she tells him where to go. Eric decides that Ariel is the woman for him, and he gives it to her as much as she does him. He doesn’t put up with her crap and he eventually becomes the support Ariel needs. Although Ariel gets her prince, I was not a big fan of her, and I didn’t really want Eric to get saddled with her.

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.

This was my first read for this author and while this was the third book in the series, it definitely can be read as a standalone. However, at times I did feel like I might be missing out on something by not reading the first two books.

This was quite the retelling of Disney's version of The Little Mermaid. When I started this book I began to wonder what I had gotten myself into, because Ariel has some serious anger issues. This is all explained before you even get thru a quarter of the book. Once the reason is explained for her anger, it all makes sense (even if it was a little over the top) and I had a hard time putting this book down. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and the sexy times are steamy. The book knocks down the fourth wall and pokes fun at itself for the Disney references. Ursula doesn't make her full on strike until about the 75% mark and I was worried that the author wasn't going to be able to pull it all together in the end, but she proved me wrong. Take away the Disney references and you still have a solid story about friends sticking together and being there for each other no matter what. I'll have to checkout the first two books in the series. Also loved the ending and how it all came together, didn't really see it going down that way.

I've loved this series from day one, and with characters like these, it’s easy to see why! Tara Sivec has created another fairytale romantic comedy masterpiece!

Ariel is definitely something special. I have a HUGE girl crush on her. Foul-mouthed, opinionated, unfiltered, and a bit rage-y, this girl is amazing! But digging a little deeper into her personality, there’s reasons why she is this way. It’s impossible not to love her and some of the outlandish things that pour from her mouth when she gets going, though. She’s an absolute riot!

And who knew Eric would be this fantastic?! I had an idea that he’d be pretty great based on the other two books but I think he just might be my favorite. He’s got a personality to match Ariel’s, but he also brings out a different side of her that only he can. He’s wittingly charming, unbelievably sweet, and off-the-charts sexy (hello dark hair, blue eyes, and dimples).

I really enjoyed this book! It’s laugh-out-loud funny and a perfect adult spin on a classic fairytale.

Tara Sivec’s characters are hilarious as always in this twisted Fairytale. Don’t blink while reading this book, because you might miss funny details that Sivec spins from the original Disney fairytale and makes her own. Ariel’s extensive knowledge about antiques is only one example. When and where Ursula shows up and what role she plays is another.
.
Ariel’s character is amusing and relatable. She encapsulates the struggles of the modern woman—the desire to appear strong but the need to be soft when the situation requires it. It’s not an easy balance, considering everything that Ariel has been through.
.
This is the kind of book to read when you need a laugh or you need to be inspired. Sivec makes it work for both things because her female characters are strong and empowered. They aren’t wilting flowers or damsels in distress. And the male characters are truly princes in the sense that they treat their significant others as equals, respecting their decisions while also supporting their independence and cherishing them as partners.

Kiss the Girl is so much fun!! I LOVED it!! If you a looking for a swoony, laugh out loud funny, makes your heart happy kind of read, look no further, Kiss the Girl is just what you need.

I am so obsessed with these Naughty Princess Club books!! Tara Sivec did a fantastic job creating these extremely likeable, fun, and entertaining characters that you just can't help but want more of. I was already half way into my girl crush on Ariel from the previous books. This book pretty much sealed the deal. The tough and outspoken Naughty Princess is so much more than we thought. She has her shares of insecurities and fears mostly stemming from her emotionally abusive ex. Her vulnerability made me love her more though because as the story goes on and as her confidence grows, she becomes even more of the badass I love.

And then there's Eric...swoon...he's my favorite. I love, love, love him!! He just always knows exactly what Ariel needs. He's always quick with a joke or an innuendo. Always on her side even when she tries to keep him away. Gah! I could not get enough of this sweet and sexy hero!! Ariel and Eric together are magic. A perfect match.

I've yet to read a Tara Sivec book I didn't immediately love but these princess books are fanfreakingtastic!! Kiss the Girl can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading all of them only because I feel everyone needs romcom gold like these.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for this book since the moment Ariel popped onto the scene with her sassy attitude at the beginning of the series. She never failed to make me laugh at her craziness and I was really excited that her book was finally coming out. I had to know what her story was and boy was I not disappointed.

While I loved that we got Ariel’s smartass attitude, we also saw that she’s hiding a lot of deep-rooted issues. She’s extremely self-conscious and has been so horribly abused verbally that she wears her sarcasm as a form of armor. She spent years under the thumb of someone who belittled her with backhanded compliments at every turn, and it was really hard seeing her struggle with that years later. It really kind of put her character into perspective.

While you didn’t really see too much of Eric in the previous books and he always kind of seemed like a bit of a skeezeball, he really surprised me in this book. I’m not sure which hero from this series I enjoyed more. At first you think he’s just this flirty dude who is always hitting on Ariel, but as time goes on you realize that he’s so much more than that. Somehow he sees through this tough-girl facade she puts on and can tell that she’s got some stuff to work through. He integrates himself into her life and helps her work through her issues and helps keep her mind off of things when times get rough. He was a solid rock without being overbearing or in your face. His approach to Ariel and what was going on was extremely subtle to the point that it had to literally be pointed out to both Ariel and the readers for you to see what he was doing.

The author did a phenomenal job taking some classic fairy tales and giving it her own spin. I have highly enjoyed reading about Cindy, Belle, and Ariel. The author was able to give a solid nod to the classic story and characters without overdoing it and making it feel cheesy. The fact that Ariel collects antiques and sells them. Or that she has a fish tank full of fish named Flounder (all of them). Or that her ex-husband’s name is Sebastian. Heck, even her father is the king of car sales, or as he likes to call himself, the C King. The way the author was able to keep the essence of the original stories while making it completely her own was ingenious. I enjoyed the entire series and the author even added an epilogue of all their happily ever afters at the end of this book. I seriously loved this series and am sad that the party is over.

My obsession with Tara is still going strong. I'm wondering how I can trick her into being my BFF. I freaking LOVED Kiss the Girl. I said after the first book that I thought Ariel would be my favorite and she is. I adore her. She's a Badass but, I loved seeing her vulnerable side too. What did surprise me is how much I loved Eric. He's so amusing and just as quick-witted as Ariel. I loved every second these two spent together. I love this series so much. I enjoyed how the series finished up. I know Tara will give us a little more from these ladies in the future.

As I turned each page of this book the well written storyline and well detailed characters brought a big smile to my face! The well planned plot flowed effortlessly throughout the entire book and the very likable characters kept me totally captivated until the very end!

4 1/2 stars. A fantastic ending to a truly humorous series. Eric was so amazing for Ariel. He knew exactly what she needed and was smart enough to deliver it without her even knowing what he was doing. His knowledge of how Ariel's mind works was so instr mental in helping her find her confidence. And boy did she let it fly when she had to! They are such an amazingly funny couple. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because there was a lot of shouting from Ariel. I get she is bada$$ and speaks her mind most of the time, but it was bordering on harda$$ in places. However, the humor and love story was totally worth it!

Kiss the Girl, book three in the Naughty Princess Club, is Ariel’s story. Ariel is one of the owners of The Naughty Princess Club, an in-home stripping company she started with her best friends, Cindy and Belle. Both her besties have found love but Ariel doesn’t want to touch that four letter word with a ten-foot pole. She’s been burned in the past and doesn’t want to repeat history.

Fairy tales don’t happen in real life.
Shit. Forget I said that. They happened to both of my friends. Let’s just say they don’t happen to me and I’m fine with that. F-I-N-E, fine.

Eric is a part owner of Charming’s Gentleman's Club and the recipient of the sass that comes out of Ariel’s mouth the very first time they meet. He seems to want to explore the connection they share, one she totally denies, but she pushes him away at every turn. Then, when she finds herself homeless and without her possessions, she accepts the keys to one of his boats when he offers her a place to stay. What follows is a fun, flirty, sassy, steamy romance that will have you laughing out loud and falling in love.

This series is hilarious! I loved In Bed with the Beast but this one is even better. Ariel is hysterical! She is sarcastic, funny, and honest, and the things that come out of her mouth are over the top ridiculous! She also collects antiques, has ten fish tanks, and is a tried-and-true friend. Her ex did a real number on her and now she is insecure and vulnerable, and all her fears are relatable and realistic.

Watching her gain her confidence back was empowering and I loved the growth she goes through. She’s endearing and impossible not to love. I wanted to much for her to find that special one to knock her socks off and who better than the enchanting Eric who helps her find herself again.

Eric is sweet, sexy and downright swoontastic. I probably highlighted half of what came out of his mouth and I couldn’t help but melt.

“Your sarcasm and attitude is fun to watch. Honestly, it’s the highlight of my day, wondering what the hell will come out of that mouth of yours next.”
The smirk on his face suddenly disappears and the seriousness that replaces it makes my heart stutter.
“Seeing you broken and hurting and sad is like having someone stick a fucking knife in my chest. I don’t like it. So, if pissing you off removes that look from your face like your entire world is imploding and there’s nothing you can do to stop it, good.

Eric knows exactly what Ariel needs. His support is solid and he doesn’t push her, instead allowing her to find her way. And Ariel challenges him in the best way and opens his eyes to what he really wants.

I’ve never had to work for anything in my life. It was all just handed to me, and I’ve always taken it for granted. All I had to do was ask, and I got whatever I wanted. And then I met you, and the first words out of your mouth to me were fuck off,” he laughs.
“And yet here you are. Still not fucking off.”
“Nope. I took one look at you and I knew for the first time in my life that I’d have to work my fucking ass off. And it would be worth every mouthy moment from you.”

The banter is fantastic. It’s witty, snarky, and freaking hilarious, and I found myself cracking up throughout the book. It’s a slow-burn romance that progresses perfectly with deliciously building sexual tension and an explosion when everything comes together, and I loved it!

I have to give a shout out to Cindy and Belle. I loved seeing them again and how wonderful they are with Ariel. This amazing trio of women has a solid friendship, always supporting each other and having each other’s backs. This series is a definite must read for anyone wanting strong heroines who are funny, entertaining, lovable, independent and empowering.

"Can I kiss the girl now?" he whispers.
"You're so cheesy. And no, you can't kiss me. I'm in charge here. I'll kiss you."

A prickly, funny, crackling with heat romantic comedy that made me laugh OUT LOUD and had me grinning ear to ear!

Tara Sivec is a master storyteller! I love the way she wrote these characters and the wit and humor and prickly personality of Ariel made me giggle while the way she created Eric made me Ariel's perfect match with his too charming personality. I loved the sizzling WHITE HOT heat that snapped and popped between them. The sex was spicy, sexy and steamy while the humor and sprinkle of heart made this book very irresistibly. I am so looking forward to see what fun book Miss Sivec will come up with next!
