Due to a passing in the family a few years ago and my subsequent health issues stemming from that, I was unable to download this book in time to review it before it was archived as I did not visit this site for years after the bereavement. Thank you for the opportunity.

Unfortunately, I just didn't love this. I liked the top ten lies individually, but the explanations of all of them is where this book lost me. I wish it had more on the science and how to actually stop believing these lies. I found the challenges at the end to be a bit bland/not very effective.

I also didn't like the incorporation of God and religion into this. I am personally not a religious person, so whenever God was brought up, I skimmed through or skipped entire sections.

This book just wasn't my type unfortunately.

A very good blend of self-discovery and positive psychology. By illustrating ten lies, the author is able to explain the repercussions and the modus operandi of the self-talk and ego in current life's situations.
