Another great group of books to look forward to and to put on my ‘to read’ list. I always watch for new Buzz Books. Thank you Publishers Lunch.
Sampler of stories so you like some and dislike some so just know that when downloading it. You will want to look up all of the books in your library’s catalog so you can easily find a copy when you are interested in reading one. It’s free so you won’t get the whole book, just a sample.
I never have anything bad to say about these books because it gives you a sneak peek into upcoming releases. There is always a good mix of authors being featured along with release dates. Being able to read excepts definitely gives it another element because there have been books I wasn't sure about buying and then having those few chapters ended up selling me on the book.
I love these because most of the time I discover a book coming out that I didn't know about at first or some hidden gems. It's a great resource to keep you updated on upcoming books.
I wish you would bring back this as monthly again
I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Not much to say about these. It's always nice to read previews.
So many great books to add to my TBR! I love these previews. It's a great way to get introduced to the new books that will be coming out soon!
As the leaves start to turn and the days get noticeably shorter, it's time to turn our attention to cozy reading corners and TBR lists. The September 2018 Buzz Books Monthly will be a great tool for autumn reading selections. There are seven excerpts of upcoming books as well as lists entitled: extra attention, literary favorites and emerging talents, debut fiction, commercial fiction and nonfiction.
Buzz Books are always help me make choices for my TBR list! I look forward to reading Buzz Books Monthly each time an issue is released..
The monthly Buzz Books are for the specific books being published that month. The listing of the titles is done at the beginning of the book, first by genre and then by order of author's name.. Excerpts are published in the back of the book.
I find these types of books helpful for helping me find new titles and new authors to break me out of my reading slumps or to broaden my scope (as I often find myself going for the same type of genre again and again).
Quite a lot of fantastic books came out this month, I was really interested in Sarah Weinman's "The Real Lolita" and Kate Atkinson's "Transcription".
The excerpts have been published in the Buzz Books 2018: Fall/Winter so if you've read that then there won't be anything new but it's nice to have them again for reference.
BuzzBooks is a must-read every month for those who like to be updated about upcoming books. Many thanks to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read it in exchange for an honest review.
Oh wow. Put some time away for this book. It has all the ingredients for a terrific psychological thriller.
No spoilers from me. Book is great with lots of lies, deception, tragedy, and twists. Also, loved the unpredictable ending. Can't say enough great about this. Read it today!!
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this fabulous book.
Thanks as always to Publishers Launch for the very useful planning tool that is Buzz Books Monthly!
Always the best way for reviewers to get an industry heads up.
Always love seeing some of the new releases that I might be interested in reading! Buzz Books is always the perfect length to allow an insight into the book without giving too much away.
Thank you Publishers Lunch and Netgalley for an ARC of this book.
I enjoy reading through this monthly edition and highlighting new books of interest. Not surprisingly I have added more books to my list to look out for!
I have already had the opportunity to talk about a lot of these previews when reviewing the Fall/Winter 2018 Buzz Books, so, this will just be a recap.
Books I'm looking forward to with release dates in September 2018 that are featured in the September issue of Buzzbooks:
Cross Her Heart - This is probably the September book I am most looking forward to. I am a sucker for A) a good thriller and B)Sarah Pinborough's incredible writing. This preview opened with anger and tension and it promises to be a great roller coaster ride of a thriller.
The Dinner List - This book looks amazing. Everyone loves the "who would you invite to dinner dead or alive" discussion, so who wouldn't want to read the novelized version!? Plus, Audrey Hepburn!
The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - I have such mixed anticipations about this one. I feel like I will either love this book or hate it. A novel about a woman who repeatedly dies has the potential to be interesting, but I'm not 100% sure its my thing. I will absolutely give it a try though, because in this preview I can tell the writing style is fabulous.
I enjoyed reading some of the books that will be published in Sept. I personally don't read some of the genre's included in this sampler, but I did at least skim through them. Looking forward to "The Dinner List"! Loved the opportunity to read samples.
I really enjoy these monthly installments. Has some great excerpts of some interesting books coming soon.
Thank you to Publishers Lunch and NetGalley for a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Nice to catch up on all the great books coming out and get sneak peeks. I love them. Never thought to look at them before but now these are my go for each season.
What a month for books September is! How many have I added to my wishlist? Don’t ask! I have already ordered and preordered several of them - the ones I absolutely must have!

Looking forward to reading:

A great glimpse of soon to be published books. Few of these I've heard of either on goodreads or bookstagram, but others I had not and am excited to read once they are available!
