If your looking for a fun, lighthearted, but oh so sexy relaxing read you found it. This book is filled with so much fun it had me laughing all the way through. A drunken forgotten Vegas wedding, crazy families, and a very reserved fight pilot right in the middle of all the wildness.

"Best not to get too attached to strange men who come bearing flaming unicorns."

There's nothing like a rainbow disaster of a flaming unicorn cake to strike up a conversation. And that's exactly how Navy pilot, Captain Ben Rutledge meets Vegas show manager for her family's act, The Waltzing Wallaces, Megan Shuttlekrump when he drops her birthday cake on the floor. Quiet, solitary and reserved meets center-of-everything-twenty-four-seven-do-it-all-wonder-woman of chaos. When Ben and Meg wake up with wedding bands and no memory of getting married, the countdown is on and the search begins, but neither of their lives will be the same.

Surprising, fun, quirky, sweet and sexy hilarity. Accidentally in Love with the Pilot delivers refreshing twists to the classic drunken escapades and accidentally married in Vegas trope.

Megan's life revolves around running her families life and has no time for own so when a drink with Ben turns into a marriage and possible pregnancy. That is what she gets. Her life is upside down yet it is right side up at the same time.
You will love the unconventional family, the humor and the over all story.

Megan has no time for a life of her own.  She is on call day and night for her family.  Picking up the dry cleaning, taking kids to recitals, fixing costumes, you name it she does it.  But on the night of her birthday bash she meets a handsome stranger and wakes up with a ring on her hand.

Ben is a pilot for the Navy.  He is an introvert who is passed over for promotions due to his lack of interest in socialization.  He was supposed to be camping on his leave, but his friend stood him up and now he is on his own.  Trying to be more social he agrees to deliver a birthday cake to a party.  What he doesn't count on is waking up married.

Megan and Ben do not remember much after they had drinks at the bar.  But one thing is for sure they are married.  On a mission to find the chapel they got married in the two agree to stay married while he is on leave.  Megan thinks her family is over the top and that Ben will disappear before his leave is over.

Wow this was such an interesting book.  Not what I was expecting at all.  The characters were unique and very interesting.  The story line was exactly what I was expecting, it was the characters that made this story so unusual.  I was intrigued from the first chapter.

Megan's family are over the top and demanding.  They are crazy and loud.  Megan is sweet and loves them all.  Ben is quiet and reserved.  He doesn't like huge crowds and withdraws into himself.  He prefers to be alone and is perfectly content.  That is until he meets Megan.  These two were perfect for each other.

This story touched a soft spot in my heart.  My son is very much like Ben.  He has what you would call Aspergers.  It is a social disorder.  He does not like big crowds and prefer to be alone.  He is independent and can take care of himself, but would rather stay home instead of hang out with friends.  So this story felt very real to me in that aspect.  Very easy to relate to.

Overall this book was an excellent read.  With its steady pace the story flows nicely.  The characters are not just fun, but interesting.  You will not want to put the book down once you pick it up.  A definite page turner.  If you are looking for a quick easy read, then this book is for you.

Accidentally in Love with the Pilot looks like a cute & fluffy, sounds like one as well.
And it does deliver exactly what the package says. Light-hearted cute & fluffy.
It's basically a what you see is what you get.

So on those bases, I got exactly what I was feeling for.

It is completely predictable. I mean completely and utterly. No surprises at all. Even the grand gesture. But I didn't care. Because it was sweet, funny fluff. It made me feel all sweet and fuzzy. Which is frankly why I read these kinds of books.
Though predictable, it's a fun storyline. For some reason, it reminded me of the old school romcom movies a la Doris Day, just with a dash of shmexy thrown it.
The only small thing I was a bit taken aback was the last announcement. I mean, I knew Stanley will throw that in, but I think the number was a bit, well over the top? Though it was for the last line clearly, which is funny. But I felt it drove home the kinda caricature aspects that surfaced during the book. I would have liked one less, in fact preferably two less.

The two MCs were both interesting. Both being introverts to some extent. Both being at times plagued by the same insecurities. I love Ben, even when he was a bit too perfect.
Their assumptions about each other, grated on me. They were both pretty presumptive and worse they never actually talked about it. EVER. I kept thinking, just talk to each other, problem solved. But noooo, we rather assume and be worried.
The supporting cast was quirky and funny. A bit over the top, to be honest, they very over the top. I mean even his family was eccentric, it felt a bit much. But I do like them.
Though Stanley does add a few issues the MCs struggle with, which made the MCs feel more real, it still is super lighthearted.
If you looking for deep character building. This ain't your book. If you feel like endearing characters who grapple with finding some love, then you at the right place.

So basically, it's nothing hugely surprising, nothing heavy.
As I said, what I see is what you get.
In fact, I am sure it isn't very memorable.
The writing style is not amazing, but it's not terrible either. Dialogues are fun and witty but not ingeniousnius or inventive. The characters are quirky but have not much depth to them. The storyline is sweet but predictable...
Honestly this probably should be 2.5 Stars, however, I did feel like exactly this kind of book so I am rounding it up. *shrugs* I know totally subjective, but I couldn't care less. I am feeling all pink and fuzzy atm. (thanks to reading this)

Accidentally in Love with the Pilot is a perfect lazy afternoon read.
It's lighthearted, sweet and leaves you smiling.
Cute & fluffy happiness which will leave you pink and fuzzy.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First time reading this author. What a fun book! It's silly but still fun. Who wouldn't want a gorgeous Navy fighter pilot to deliver their birthday cake? He stays for the party and you somehow end up married?? Possibly pregnant and neither of you remember??! That's just the beginning. The characters are interesting but not perfect. I was pleasantly surprised. I rate this as a 4. I think most romance readers will enjoy.

Wow, this book had a lot more substance to it that I thought it would going into it.....and the humor....so many fun, laugh out loud moments! :)

Ben Rutledge is an extremely shy, fighter pilot on leave for a month. He is suppose to be hanging with his best friend Trevor in Las Vegas but since he walked in on Trevor and his on-again/off-again girlfriend, Amber, in a very on-again way, Ben was at a loss. Amber asked him if he would do her a favor and drop off the birthday cake she made, which he quickly agreed to.

Imagine Ben's surprise when he delivers this rainbow unicorn cake to a casino and it is for a very sexy, beautiful lady who had certainly caught his attention. Next thing he knows he thrown into this crazy circus of a family....literally!

Megan Shuttlekrump is the manager to her family's circus act. They are a loud, crazy, colorful bunch but they are hers....at least since they adopted her and she would do anything for them.

After Megan's birthday party, her and Ben head to the casino bar where they have a little too much to drink. One thing leads to another and the next thing they know is that they wake up in bed together, with rings on their left hand! Too bad neither of them can remember what actually happened. The two of them decide to pretend they really are in love, at least for the next month while Ben is in town. Maybe during that time they can figure out how they ended up married and get it annulled.

During the month, Ben and Megan grow closer and each of them thinks maybe they should just stay married, but neither of them will tell the other their real feelings. Megan is convinced that Ben will grow tired of her crazy family and end up not wanting her. Ben is convinced that Megan will grow tired of his extreme shyness and not want him anymore. What these two didn't realize was they were both perfect for each other.

Overall I really enjoyed the road these two went on to get to their happy ending. It was filled with such fun, laugh out loud moments, as well as sweet and sexy times. This book was very fun and would recommend it.

megan shuttlekrump, is the adopted daughter of a family of circus act performers. kind of like cousin marilyn in the munster family, megan is the straight character keeping everyone in line. accidentally in love with the pilot opens with a surprise party for megan's birthday, and ben rutledge is roped into delivering the cake. ben who is introverted and shy and overwhelmed by the intensity of her family, but he's intrigued by megan.

and a drunken night at the bar ends up with a quickie vegas wedding that neither of them remembers. and while they try to piece together what happened that night, the only other thing they know for sure is that the condom broke. deciding to stay married for the length of ben's military leave while they figure out where they got married and if they are pregnant seems to be the most logical step.

but soon playing house and being together feels so real. and both of them are afraid to admit that it's what they want. finding their words is no easy task, but the actions that speak louder are all right there. it's just that megan is too afraid to believe that ben loves her, just like she's afraid to admit that she worries that if she isn't needed by her family they don't love her anymore. there's a lot of deep-seated insecurity there, but megan isn't a doormat. she just can't stop herself from being useful to everyone. it's an expression of love for her, and when ben doesn't need her to be useful, it's both a relief but also incredibly scary. their love story is enjoyable and sweet.

This book is filled with so much fun it had me chuckling all the way through. You've got a drunken forgotten Vegas wedding - maybe, the craziest of crazy families, and the normally very reserved fight pilot plunked right in the middle of all the chaos. These characters will grab your heart immediately especially Ben. He finds himself in some hilarious situation but he just keeps plugging along taking it all in stride. If your looking for a fun, lighthearted, but oh so sexy relaxing read you found it. I think everyone will enjoy this one.

Absolutely loved the story. I never laughed so much. It is very well written and thoroughly enjoying. I had to convince myself to put it down so that I could sleep, I really didn't want to go to sleep.

This book has on-page sex and some swearing including a handful of f-bombs (less than a dozen in the whole book). If those things are going to cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one.

There's no denying that the trope of “woke up married in Vegas” has been done a lot of times in the romance genre, and I admit that it isn't really my favorite plot, but Ms. Stanley did such an excellent job with the relationship between Ben and Megan that it didn't feel like the same-old-same-old story. It felt like a fresh and fun take on it. I loved the way that the characters developed a really organic relationship before they committed to each other beyond their initial oops-we're-married moments. The things they bonded over and the talks that they had were all so natural that I couldn't help but root for them to get their happily ever after. And that epilogue? Happy sigh territory. I loved it!

Something Ms. Stanley does so well is infuse her books with not only great turns of phrase and interesting things happening, but she writes with so much humor that you can't help but laugh as you read along. I highlighted so many funny moments (oh my gosh the “slightly frantic” conversation in the bathroom doorway the morning after slayed me) that I wanted to revisit after reading that I can't even count them all. Real life is so stressful and full of angst these days that I love it when a book makes me laugh and this one did many, many times.

The side characters in this story were also so great. They added a lot to the story, but they never overwhelmed it or made it hard to enjoy. While the Shuttlekrumps weren't perfect, I thought they were really hilarious and their love for Megan was undeniable, even if they showed it in unconventional ways. There were also such great little tips of the cap to Ms. Stanley's previous books. You do not have to have read them to enjoy this book (although you should because they're so good!) but if you have read them, the little mentions will make you smile.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a “woke up married” story or to anyone who just enjoys a funny and sweet unconventional romance story. You won't be disappointed by this one!

This book is so much fun! The Vegas setting allows for an interesting plot that's not all about gambling.

Ben is not the typical alpha-male you see in so many romance books these days. He's shy, adorable, and sweet. It was nice to see a shy male character rather than it always being the female. He and Megan complement each other well and I was rooting for them from the beginning.

I definitely recommend this book, and I can't wait to read the author's other books!

Loved this book very much. It had just enough comedy & sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Not impressed with this book. It just seemed a bit ridiculous how they just decided to stay married and the pregnancy made it even more ridiculous. Doing it for health benefits?! Her family was also relaly annoying and I couldn't get how he transformed from such a shy loner to be with her

A fun quick read. The book starts out with Meghan celebrating her birthday with her “crazy/needy” family in a casino which then leads to her meeting Ben who attempts to deliver her birthday cake. Megan and Ben are then left to themselves, where one thing leads to another and the next thing they know they are waking up in bed together with rings on their fingers. From then on they attempt to find the chapel they got married at in order to end their “marriage.” I did feel like this book was a bit predictable at times but it redeemed itself with such a cute ending. It was a bit irritating that they both kept trying to read one another’s mind rather than trying to ask questions. I loved the premise of the story though, it was definitely HEA, no cheating and I feel like it was insta love. If you are looking for a quick summer fun read then happy reading!

Ben is a Navy pilot and on leave and ready for his month long camping trip with his friend. Already in Las Vegas and packed for the trip his friend bombs out after reuniting with his girlfriend and as a favor to her, Ben agrees to deliver a birthday cake to a party at a nearby casino. Amber reminds him to make sure he lights the candles before he enters the room. Ben sets off to find the casino and the right room for the party and through one simple mishap the gold horned, rainbow pooping unicorn cake ends up on the floor. It's Megan's birthday, a day she doesn't really look forward too, because her family is a circus, literally and figuratively. Ben and Megan end up spending time together and have drinks later that night as well. Since Ben got a room in the hotel for the night, not sure of how he was going to spend the rest of his leave, he and Megan get totally blasted and wake up with rings on their fingers. Neither remember getting married. They remember going out for breakfast sometime during the night, the rest is a blank. Megan runs the family from the management end, not only that, she handles personal matters for them, problem solver extraordinaire. She's got her own reasons for doing that, but her passion is in costume design and also makes the costumes for the family. She wants to branch out but is afraid her family would see that as a betrayal and also her lack of confidence. Not only do they have the missing marriage moments to solve , they also have a broken condom issue to deal with. Ben promises he will do whatever he needs to do and he means that. Megan has always been left. Ben is extremely shy and an introvert and her family can be totally overwhelming. Every man she's brought around has beelined because they couldn't handle her family. Ben doesn't run. He ends up spending his leave with her, getting to know her better and cooking for her. I really liked Ben, his character was stand up. Megan was a little on the weak side. I'll leave it at that. Her need to be needed overshadowed at times the good things about her. She and Ben really made a great couple. There are a couple bumps in the relationship and when Ben is called out of a mission he had to go, telling her he'd be back. Her response, "don't bother" Seriously? I think my jaw dropped on that one. The story still continues to unfold from there. Finish with a Waltzing Wallace flourish? We'll see. You have to read the book to find out. And for Ben, quietly understated delicious Ben.

“Please tell me that Elvis’s cape broke after he left the building.” When I read that line I laughed until tears were rolling down my face. This story is hella hilarious. Megan’s family is a force to be reckoned with. The author should put a “comedic” warning label on this book. I just loved the fresh and upbeat ways in which described even issues that could be termed negative. This is an awesome book to read more than once.

This was an okay story

I liked the characters and the story as a whole but I feel a little deflated that it didnt have any real spark.

Ben is cute but socially awkward and Megan is overwhelmed and a bit of a push over. I feel as a couple they just happened there was no falling no real substance for them to be a couple.

Overall an okay story I wouldn't re-read this again however I feel others that are into some light reading will enjoy this story.

This was a cute story. Megan is completely into the family business. Ben is just on leave. I thought they were super cute together and I loved that Ben accepted her for who she is, she's non traditional and he didn't try to change that, though he did stand up for her where her family is concerned which just makes him more of a winner in my book.

Megan's family was a lot to handle, they were considerably overbearing, an issue I'm glad was not just brushed to the side.
