ARC copy provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not sure how I feel about Ride with the SEAL. I'm giving the story a 3.5 stars. I did like the characters and I thought the story was decent.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. If you like military romance books where you don't have to work too hard to follow the storyline, this book is for you.

A surprisingly interesting story. I read more romance these days than I ever thought I would but this is definitely a stand out. It was far better than I expected going into it from the synopsis alone.

I adored the battle of wills in this story!

He was a geek in high school who turned out to be a hot ex-SEAL. She’s the girl who always got in problems. She’s also connected to the mob. In order to prove herself worthy of a new, just her garage she decided to steal a car from her dad’s garage. He wants to prove to the other colleagues in the company where he works, that he’s not just the brain but the muscle too.

When their dreams collide, they have to work together to escape the wrath of the mob. Naturally, it doesn’t go without obstacles… and heat between them!

While I loved the action and their sizzling attraction, I was hoping for more drama. It seemed like everything resolved quickly, so in the end, I was surprised I read this book in a matter of hours. The ending seemed to be a little rushed.

4 stars.

Camden Thursday and Everly Knight encounter in garage both with their own work for the night. Enter romance to challenge their task and future. First in Norse security series. Settle in for good read.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

I loved how this novella was written, short and on point. It has what I expected and even more.I like the characters. The banter between these characters is great, there is so much resistance from them both , so angst .

Another good story from Leslie North. A quick read, plenty sexy and steamy, but the ending felt a bit hurried to me.

Quick hot read. Felt a little rushed toward the end. Had all this build up the the ending was rushed and quick to close. Always enjoy reading a Leslie north story beacause they are also different and imaginative and definitely hot

Well what can I say about this book except…eh, it was okay.

I mean, it wasn’t bad, but it was missing something, depth, chemistry and a better plot climax. Everything about it was just okay.

I love a good military turned security romance. I love how the chemistry is generally fast and intense. I love how the past of the ex-military officer is always lurking in the background and haunting them. I love how the love interest can calm the ghosts of their past and how they are treasured for their patience and understanding. I love how the mystery/thrill of the story has depth and intrigue. But none of that was in this book. I mean it was but it was just kinda glossed over, it was more telling than showing. Yeah we know he is an ex-seal but not a whole lot was mentioned about his past beyond that. I need more than that to invest in a character. I’m left a bit bereft honestly.

I was all just a bit generic. There wasn’t enough of those things to really have it stand out for me. Which sucks. Not much to add than that really.

This book was a little too boring for me. I thought a Seal book had a lot of potential. This was boring to me.

Cam is sick and tired of being pigeon-holed as the team tech. He is a damn SEAL and it's time the rest of the team remembered that! All he has to do is recover a tech-laden car, easy peasy. Yeah, not so much when he comes face to face with Everley, his former high school crush and now mechanic who may or may not have ties with the local mob!

Everley is sick of living with the shadow of her father and his dodgy dealings. She wants her shop to be legit but legit takes money. She is after the same car as Cam, one she has a seller lined up to buy. But how can she make off with the auto when Cam sticks to her like glue? But when things begin to unravel she is mighty glad to haver her own personal SEAL at her back.

I loved the snappy repartee between these two. Everly also thought Cam was nerdy hot and Cam loved her possible bad girl persona. So although the novel is quite fast paced, they do have a back history that they can work from. The sexy times take a while to kick in, which I thought was more in keeping with the plot pace. Great banter and a whole cast of team mates I can't wait to meet.

Camden experienced the shock of his life when he finds his one time high school crush behind the car he is hired to recover. Trying to stay one step ahead of the mob that also has an interest in the car he feels the need to keep Everly safe. She has tried to leave the circumstances of her past behind and eventually finds love with the geeky hunk she remembered.

A new series by Leslie North with former Navy Seals as the lead characters. In this first book Camden Thursday is wanting to get in and out and prove to his boss that he is more than a guy that just sit behind a desk, but can also be useful in the field. What he must do is hijack the car which is loaded with off the chart technology, and he must do it before the car falls into the wrong hands. It is the technology that is priceless. His first problem is not the car but a women named Everly Knight, who is bad ass when it comes to cars and who father has been tied to the mob for as long as he can remember. That is the other problem he knows her and at one time had a crush on her, well maybe he still does. Now as they begin to argue they must also fight their way out of the garage and he must get far enough away to check the damage to the car. He also must let his boss know what happened. It just seems like every time that they are safe for a while the same guys show up again. Can this ride turn into a joy ride because it does not start off that way? This is a fast read and full of action from the beginning a good story to get lost in.

Sorry this was not my cup of tea, as the saying goes. There was nothing wrong with the writing or the style, it's just that I don't like this type of stories where they don't trust each other and they have secrets.
This was my first book by this author and even though I didn't like this one that doesn't mean that I won't try some of her other books.

The story of Everly/Eve and Camden/Cam is a sweet story. It’s just that sweet, not much heavy lifting with cute characters and a bit of chemistry but pretty much forgettable after you have read a few books after them. It’s not a bad story and if you are looking for something light with some heat then its not a bad way to spend a few hours.

What these two have in common is the need for the Aeon a car to be theirs, plus they once went to high school together. Each had a secret crush on the other and now that they are all grown up and filled out things have heated up.

They do have some fun banter and after bailing each other out of a few tricky situations with the Aeon they have declared a shaky truce to getting them out of the predicament they find themselves in.

The premise of the plot is a bit shaky and murky, Cam is a computer nerd trying to get the Aeon back for his company Norse Security. To be honest there wasn’t really much tech or nerdy stuff he seemed to need to do other than use his gadget to get the car going. He’s an ex-seal and while there was talk of other members of his team there was no interaction with them except telephonically. So basically he was solo for this ride with mentions of his team. There were a few words bandied about like Dark Web and a few others to give it some credence but not really any meat to back up that he was this amazing computer guy.

Eve is trying to get away from the mob that her dad is a part of. She decides to finance her dream of owning her own auto shop by trying to sell the Aeon to some mystery man. Not sure how her getting money would get her out of the mob that part of the story really didn’t make logical sense. Once in the mob always in the mob is the motto as far as I know.

Lots of things in this story really didn’t make any sense to be honest, it just seemed like there were attempts to give this story suspense and draw you in, and unfortunately there wasn’t much beyond the characters talking about how hot the other person was. Or how hot that other person was making them. There was running and hiding and making out with more running and hiding and making out.

Plus at one point they are in lock down mode at Cam’s house where he has no cell reception, but he orders a pizza? I mean all the bad guys have to do to find them is follow the pizza guy. Then we had things appearing out of thin air to move the plot like keys and license plates. Which I never understood as to why they had to swap license plates, I mean how many cars fit that description. There were a lot of other nonsensical things that had you scratching your head as to the logic of it all. It wasn’t awful or I would have given it less stars there just wasn’t much meat to it.

I received an ARC of this from Net Galley for an honest review.

Ride with the SEAL is a totally engaging and sexy read with a strong female character, hot but real man, and a fun heist story. I really enjoyed the book and the characters, my only complaint was that it a little short. I look forward to reading more by the author.

Good little romance novel...hitting all the “must haves” of a good romance novel with the added bonus of a little bit of crime. The characters are believable and well rounded...I’m looking forward to the next book :)

Camden Thursday and Everly Knight are both after the same thing - a hot car wanted by both the government and the mob. Everly needs the car to finance her dream of having a legal garage without the mob influence of her father. Cam is working for Norse Security and wants to prove that he can do more than just manipulate computer code. Cam now has to work with his high school crush to make sure the car gets into the right hands and they stay alive.

It took a little bit to get into the action. Too much time wasted on backstory and yadda yadda. When the action picked up, it zoomed! Everly was the bad girl that didn't want to be a bad girl. Great characters and a great start to a new series.

I received a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you!

Cams high school crush, Everly is caught under the hood of a stolen car he was sent in to retrieve. As his security companies tech man, the ex-SEALs chance to prove himself valuable as muscle in the field goes awry. Everyls trying to get out from behind the Mob and her father's shady dealings. Selling this stolen car off will bank her escape to starting her own garage.
The two flee the mob trying to lie low until the car can be returned to the security company for the government.
While in hiding, they fall in to bed and realize they mean more to each other. They've just got to get through a sting in order to bring down the cars buyer before they can attempt their own HEA.

It wasn't bad, it felt rushed, but I liked the characters. I liked Cams brain behind his brawn and Everyls wit. More characters and character development would be nice, but it was a good quick read.
