Uh oh... Cassie and Sabrina are animal lovers, like myself, and that is what drew me to this story. There is a colony of feral cats and while most in the community do like them being there a few do care. Sabrina was feeding them and even made them a place to stay out of the bad weather. Then Sabrina’s body is found and the question becomes, did someone kill her because of what she was doing for the cats? Maybe so. Cassie sets out to find the purr fect suspect. This is a very nicely written story with a great plot that will have you trying to find out who the culprit is. Watkins does a great job at keeping the reader enthralled in the story and the characters are formed to fit the story. Some you wil love and others love to hate. I have never read anything by this author before and I want to read everything she has or will have.
Thank you to netgalley as well as the author for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Feral Attraction isthe third book in A Cat Groomer Mystery series but can be read as a standalone.
This is the first book in rhe series that I have read yet I had no.problem with following the story as previous references are clearly mentioned.
Cassie is a cat groomer and she accepts to attend a local community meeting dealing with stray cat's issue. While most of the residents are agains cats a local eccentric Sabtina, is feeding and trying to protect the cats. Not long after the meeting her body is found in the woods. Cassie jmis determined to find the culprit and save the cats.
I find the issue of stray cats not only inetersting and unusual but educational as well.
Quite suspensful with many twists and turns it will keep you mesmerised.
This series just gets better and better with each installment! I love how the author gives us more and more about the characters in each book, so they become old cherished friends! The mystery was perfectly written and executed, leaving me at the edge of my seat! This series is really hitting its stride and I hope we have more books to come!
Feral Attraction by Eileen Watkins is an exciting feline mystery. It turns out that a community of feral cats have moved closer to an older retired community center. That's where all the trouble begins. A few residents began feeding the cats thus, an increase in the population of feral cats being seen. Many of the residents do not like the cats and want them gone. Some are willing to go to the extreme to get rid of the cats and those involved helping the cats stay alive and free. Murder, mayhem, and a charming cast of characters are found in this book. I love how an expert cat groomer who has an animal behavior degree is called in to settle the dispute. But Cassie soon finds herself in more hot trouble than she can handle. This is 3rd in a series, but can be read our of order and a standalone. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
"Feral Attraction" is the latest in the series of books set in a small New Jersey town. Protagonist Cassie owns Cassie's Comfy Cats, a boarding and grooming business, dates the local veterinarian, and also manages to help the local police solve crimes. In this installment, Cassie helps her friend Dawn support a local TNR (trap, neuter, release) group to manage a feral colony next to an upscale condo development. The human residents are mostly not happy with the feral colony, except for one eccentric activist named Sabrina. When Sabrina is found dead in the woods, Cassie and Dawn begin their own investigation.
This books provides an easy-reading cozy mystery, but also brings to light the TNR concept for feral colony management. The process was described in detail, helping to discount the misconceptions surrounding feral cat colonies. In that sense, it publicizes the need to treat every cat as a living being that matters. For this, I am very grateful to the author. I highly recommend this book as good entertainment, as well as good educational material. A must for any cat-lover.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this book!
Of course, I was first attracted to this book by the beautiful cat on the front cover;who wouldn't be? His eyes just drawn you in! Then of course, I spotted that it was cozy mystery, one of my absolute favorite genres, so I was super excited to be given the chance to read it. Now, like with many series that I start in the middle, I want to read the books I've missed and more to come. Cassie already has an established set of friends, as well as a romantic interest who seems ok. I did think he was a bit pushy on the Thanksgiving issue, but I suppose we'll see in books to come where that leads.
There is a really good mystery here, and it's nicely tied up in the end. Obviously the cats are heavily featured, which is my favorite mini genre of cozy; animal involvement. Omen was the perfect cat for that!
A great cozy that every lover of the genre will enjoy. Five stars.
