This book spoke to me on so many levels. Sparrman was able to pinpoint all of the emotions that I was unable to put into words from the heartbreak and sense of loss from having an empty nest to the guilt when I enjoyed an activity or vacation without grown children. Knowing that someone out there understands the flood of emotions that accompanies an empty nest makes this book so beneficial to the healing and growth process. Sparrman guides the reader through redefining the role of mother as children are released into the world while finding value through a relationship with Christ.
