I did not read this book but would like to in the future. Unfortunately for me, it was archived before I could download it.
There were a lot of things I loved about this book/Bible study. I appreciated the discussion questions and personal antecodotes throughout the book. Stacey's chapter on the Armour of God was amazing! She dove in so deep and broke down the concept so well. My only qualm with this book is sometimes I felt it a little too light or too conversational (girlfriend to girlfriend). This isn't my preferred style in a Bible study, and at times I felt like it kept Stacey from diving really deep. Overall though, great read and study!
A well written book that I would describe as a coffee table rather than an academic commentary. The inclusion of anecdotal application helps illustration and is encouraging.
Ephesians is rich in affirming scriptures which remind of God's grace and His ever present aid.
A book to read and re-read.
I don't believe I'd ever heard of Stacey Thacker before reading this book, and maybe that's why I just didn't connect with it. Most reviews I've read since finishing the book talk more about following her for years on social media than the actual content of the book, which is honestly a shame because there's some good points to the book even though it wasn't a hit for me. This book could easily be used as a devotional or with a group study as the author suggests "girlfriend groups". I love the inclusion of multiple verses in each chapter along with the actual scripture text in the body of the book, and the author emphasizes that the book should be used alongside the bible in whatever form the reader prefers. I see a lot of Christian books not making that point, and I really appreciated that here. The personal stories didn't work for me as I mentioned before, which left the book feeling a little thin to me. There's still some great truth there, and I appreciated the reminder to study Ephesians, but this book just wasn't for me.
I really liked When Grace Walks In. I thought it was filled with a lot of useful information, and unlike some other similar books, there was just enough of the author's experiences included to relate to and not so much that it was really about her. My only complaint? I like to read bible studies in the morning, and the chapters were a little too long for me to fit into my reading time without rushing.
When Grace Walks In is a study of the book of Ephesians. Each chapter begins with a quote and a few key scriptures to read through before reading the chapter and ends with a Bible study. The questions are deep and intended to get us to make scripture relevant to us.
I love the writing style it's like a conversation with a friend. The author has a passion for scripture and it comes through in her writing. I find myself digging deep not just in Ephesians but 2 Kings, Hebrews, Acts and wherever else I was taken.
Whatever season you are in right now you need grace and Ii believe this is a great book to work through.
When Grace Walks In by Stacy Thacker is a Bible study in the book of Ephesians. Stacy shares many details about her life, that correlate to the study. She isn’t afraid to put it all out there, to help others understand the grace of God. Each section starts out with a set of scripture that will be discussed, and ends with questions to answer on your own, or to discuss in a group. These questions help you to dig deeper into God's Word and understand more, so that you can apply it to yourself and your life. This would make a great Bible study to do on your own, or with a group of ladies dedicated to learning about God's Word.
When Grace Walks In is a study of the book of Ephesians. Stacey does a good job of walking us through this book and shares reasons why we should bask in the love of our Heavenly Father. Along the way, we learn more about the author, her family, and the experiences that she has seen God’s grace live and in color.
Each chapter begins with a quote and a few key Scriptures and ends with a Bible study. The questions are deep and intended to get us to interact with the Bible passage so that we can make our own connections.
Know God – This Bible study on the book of Ephesians reminds us that God is love. He has loved us from the beginning of time and He will love us until the end.
Know yourself – Who we are is wrapped up in who God is. The more we learn about Him, the better we will know ourselves.
Run your race – Stacey encourages us to dig deep into our Bibles so that we can have an intimate knowledge of who God is. The word of God gives us the resources we need to live the lives we’ve been given.

Today is the day of the release of this book, and I have many deep thoughts on the subject of grace. Especially from the last month until today.
The best thing that this book left me is the realization that I need to study the book of Ephesians better, go directly there and study it myself, in my step and deep.
I am grateful that this copy was provided to me before its launch, for its review and my sincere opinion. It is the 1st book I read about this author and I still do not understand her style or her particular way of organizing thoughts, maybe it is a matter of time, to know and read her more, as it happens with each new author. Personally I do not like much when they tell so many personal things (even if they apply the theme) or when they mention so many other authors, because in fact, I end up liking quotes more than the author's content and that makes me feel like "it's not fair".
I know that each personality and proofs of life are different, and for that reason I know that I need to read more on this subject in a personal way for more than to understand it intellectually, to live it every day.
I am grateful for people like Stacey and the time they put into writing their own studies and reflections so that others can understand it too. I know that I need to pray more for greater faith and confidence to enjoy grace in a fresh and different way. I can rest knowing that He who began the work in me is sufficient in grace and truth. He is enough. I hope in the not too distant future to continue writing about this topic.
“You’re going to be fine. You’re going to be great.”I teared up, and she hugged me. “Really? Do you think so?”I choked out. “I know it.”
I share this paragraph, maybe you need to hear it today:
"When you are weary, he is not. When you feel like you can’t love one more person, God is just getting started. If you are faithless, he is faithful. When you want to quit, he has endless energy and power to keep running. All that you need, he already has. And then he has more. Glory. This makes me want to pray as well. God, you want us to know you. You bring us into your family. You give us your name—a name that is true and rich and everlasting. No one can change that name. We are your daughters. And then you lay a rich foundation of love. You root us there. You love and love and love. You pour it out so deep that we have the chance to grow in it forever. But you don’t stop there. You extend the invitation to be known. Some leaders don’t always want to be truly known. They withhold parts of their story; they show us only the parts they want us to know. But you don’t do that. You are an open book—literally with your Word. With an extended hand you tell us to explore who you are. You delight in us knowing you. You give us your worth through Christ. Your grace makes us who we are. You put us in your family, a place of belonging forever. May we endeavor to know you, to search out these riches all the days of our lives, and to live in that love. Let it flow from you to us to others. That love is the truest love there is. I know it is true of us. I know it is available. I believe that if we truly do lay hold of it, we would not let go. Because you won’t let us go—ever."
Lets pray to be able to find and enjoy grace everyday.

I have followed Stacey Thacker on social media for a couple of years and was excited to get to read her newest book. In her personal life, Stacey has weathered hard storms in life and has stayed faithful. Each chapter starts with multiple verses that are used in chapter, which is why I used this book as a devotional. So many Christian Life books are not including God's word, which should be our main source for truth. Stacey shares in her book many personal stories that makes a reader bond with her. When Grace Walks in is a great book for women as a devotional or a group study.
