I am really enjoying this series and this is Leila’s story who we had a bit to do with in the last book and I must be honest I wasn’t overly fond of her then, but I got to know her a bit better in this instalment and even though I wouldn’t agree with some of the things she did, she did redeem herself in my eyes, as she journeys to a HEA with her childhood sweetheart Hayden.

Leila left Echo Springs and her parents to change her life around after going through heartache she left her boyfriend Hayden and became a police officer and that was a big decision for her seeing as she came from the wrong side of the tracks. But she decides that going back to Echo Springs is what she wants to do and she aims to make some changes and when her ex comes back to town even though she should stay away she cannot help the pull between them and the detectives are working on a drug bust that could and would cause devastation Leila keeps secrets that she shouldn’t.

Hayden has always loved Leila and what they went through hurt and even more when she up and left, he moved away as well but has been doing things that he is not happy doing because of his older brother, but when he goes back home and he and Leila click again like they had never been apart things must change, Hayden sets out to do what he must but there will be secrets that he will always keep.

There is a lot going on in the town and Leila and Hayden take a big part in the danger that ensues and takes a life, but it is a moving story as they reunite and discover their love again, families mean a lot to these people and I loved the support they all offered each other and I look forward to the last instalment in this series, thank you MS Hamilton for a story I thoroughly enjoyed.

I think this one might be more of a case of "it's not you, it's me".

I have read and enjoyed everything this author has released and enjoyed it immensely, however this one just did not do it for me.

This could be because I have not read the other books in this series, but I don't think that is really it.

I love a second-chance story, and I loved the beginning and the end of Echoes Of The Past, but it did fall apart for me in the middle. It dragged when all I wanted was to find out things worked out. Again, this could just be me.

One month on and only halfway through. This book clearly isn't for me. It's good writing, but too uneventful. Maybe one day I'll try again.

3.5*** The third book in the series, we find out more about the criminal elements within the town and some of the people who are involved. We get to know Leila better who we met in book 2, she is a rookie cop originally from the wrong side of town now trying to make a difference in Echo Springs. Her ex Hayden is not on the up and up and she needs to decide if her job is more important than reconnecting with him. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything ends up in book 4.

Thanks to NetGalley and Escape Publishing for a copy in return for an honest review.

I had high hopes for Echoes of the Past as I’m a big fan of TJ Hamilton and her others works. The synopsis was intriguing and served to make me want to read this book; unfortunately, the blurb is where it ended. I found the story lacking and the chemistry between the characters was definitely I short supply. There si another book to go in this series, so lets hope it ends with a bang!

2.5 Stars I loved TJ Hamilton and when I saw she was part of this multi author series I requested them all from Netgalley. But I do have to say this one missed the mark for me. I loved the blurb and the premise but found the story just didn’t deliver and the characters failed to connect. I will read more by this author and this is only my thoughts on the story and would recommend you don’t let it stop you from reading it.

The book started off with just the right amount of interest before everything turned sideways and the story came to a slow and painful stop. The characters were not likable enough to keep readers interested. As the story slows down the readers will flip pages to end the story or just toss it aside for something a bit more exciting.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Escape Publisher for the advance copy of TJ Hamiliton Echoes of the Past.

This book was a definite miss for me. I couldn’t connect to the characters, the plot, the setting and as a result I can’t say that I enjoyed much about it. I forced myself not to skip any of the chapters as I received this as an ARC from Netgalley but there just isn’t much positive I can say about this book.
